K-9 Kennels - Picking up King! My sweet boy was glad to come home but I can tell he was well taken care of.

They took time and answered all our questions. Then took us on a tour of the property and explained play time and how they make sure they observe the dogs first before putting them with other dogs. As we walked the property it was clean and the play areas were well kept. There is always someone on the property with the dogs. The day we picked King up he seemed fine and relaxed and I also noticed that King's nails were trimmed. They really do look after the dogs and went above and beyond. We will definitely using them again!!!!

Left three days worth of food, special brand as he has a sensitive digestive system, treats, and his arthritis medicine. We get a call Sunday evening telling us our dog growled at the young caretaker, and they would not be letting our dog out of his kennel. Luckily we were only in Wisconsin and woke up at 4:30 AM to head home. When we picked our dog up, less than one serving of food was missing, no treats or medicine was given either. Maybe he did growl from hunger? The diarrhea has not subsided, so there will be a vet bill to add to this adventure. Seems completely at odds with the positive review they got last year. Very distressing situation.

Central Bark Rochester, MN - We love seeing Central Bark's daily Facebook post of the pups that day!

When we got our new puppy we wanted to make sure she was well socialized and used to spending days without us in case we both end up with office jobs again (I work from home). She's routinely gotten praise and she comes home the happiest and the most tired. And also stinky, but people who leave a bad review for a stinky dog are ignoring that when a dog plays hard they're rolling in dirt, water, and spit, let alone if you've got one with a penchant for sticking their head in a "stream" (Riza). For us, when we toured the facility was very clean, and they take and post pictures daily of all the pups and even with all the dogs running around all day it's always super clean. The staff are all super friendly and seem to really love their jobs -- or at least really love the dogs so you'd never know. Central Bark is also on the ball with keeping track of vaccinations & will mention if you've got something close to expiring - an added perk for sure since it's easy to miss an email from the vet. For safety reasons, Central Bark asks that you come on as regular a schedule as possible - this keeps their play groups fairly consistent and let's the dogs develop friendships and not be constantly introducing brand new dogs to each other every single day. It also helps with your own routines at home. By doing this, we've found that Riza has made her own friends and has a few doggies that she just LOVES at daycare. It's always fun to see the regulars in the pictures with her. I love them, I think their prices are reasonable and well worth it, and I hope to let Riza come to daycare for as long as we possibly can. Attached are photos from central barks Facebook page of Riza playing in their facility

Northern Valley Animal Clinic - Burn marks from neglect under their care

    Northern Valley Animal Clinic

This place is exceptionally poorly run…read more I recently moved to the area and attempted to establish care for my high needs senior dog at this clinic. It was a nightmare. At every point of contact the ball was dropped in some way. I was told they carried meds in stock that they did not, I was told timelines for recieving ordered meds that were more than a week off, the vet attempted to perscribe a medication that would have had potentially lethal drug interactions with my dog's other meds (I caught his mistake in time, but I believe he did this because he didn't read her chart,) and I ordered meds through the clinic that they forgot to order. This fiasco caused my formerly stable senior dog to be off her meds for nearly 3 weeks where she was suffering. Since finally getting her back on everything she has once again stabilized but it seems some of the losses to her condition are perminant. This experiance has likely cost me several months off of her health span and at her age every single day with her where she's pain free and active is precious. I'm furious that that I had to micromanage this staff to get her adaquate care, and that when the day comes that I have to let her go that I'll be thinking of how much time this clinic's poor logistics cost us. I think I'm gonna send our old vet office flowers.

Similar to the review on 3/30/24…read more My dog has been seen for ear and belly infections with a requirement for her to be seen at a 75-dollar charge each time since 2021 I went into today to discuss my issue, and the vet told me they require a visit because it keeps the lights on. I got zero confirmation from the groomer that she is using clean tools and isolating her tools from other dogs. I was debating with the owner, why I should pay a visit fee for the recurring issues. The owner or vet told me he would not reimburse me for the last 2- or 3-year apts and the numerous charges that might be related to their groomer he could not confirm nor wanted to discuss. He continued to say "These charges help the clinic keep their lights on" For the past 3 years, I have paid over 1,000 in medications and visits but there still is no accountability nor a care plan set up to handle these issues. I am seeing another groomer and another vet. Care Plan on my end: 1. Bought hypo treats and food 2. Wash her with medicated shampoo But after every grooming, she gets an ear infection or a belly infection. Its not the dog, its the vet. All issues aside, I would not recommend this place based on the owner's attitude and not admitting to the issue.

I had recently gotten a puppy and booked a few ruff breaks for my older dog so I could train and work with my puppy for the 40 minutes, give or take, that the breaks take. In under 10 minutes after taking the older dog outside one day, I heard the walker and dog return already (shorting me more than a half hour walk). I busted the walker and said it's not acceptable, the dog needs his exercise, and she took him back out. I was furious, why does this company advertise for high energy dogs then take him out for under 10 minutes??!! how many times has this happened before? The owner of the company, Bert, was not concerned about it, he said the walker took the dog back outside and has been spoken to so it's not a big deal. Well I'm pleased with the new single owner company I found since that happened. I much prefer knowing who is coming into my home and being able to trust that my dogs are well cared for, not given the minimum (got to go potty) and being severely shorted (no exercise!)
