They are extremely flexible and allowed me to have two food trucks, a cigar lounge, a 360-video booth, a regular photo booth, and I was able to have my bridal party pass out beer during the ceremony. I also love that the venue provided lawn games such as corn hole, horseshoe toss, and had a fire pit for the people outside. Tracey is the venue coordinator and she was great. If I had any questions, she always responded quickly. I know there are some crazy ass bridezillas out there, yet she will still try her best to make you happy. If you didn't like Tracey, then you must be one of those ridiculous bridezillas because she was great to me. I had one of my vendors not show up at the time they said they would. Tracey noticed and immediately called them, so I didn't have to worry. The owner is Nick, and to book the air bnbs you have to message Nick. He is hard to get hold of, but if you can't, Tracey will be sure to get a hold of him. Tobi is the assistant venue coordinator and she was super sweet. The bar tenders that work for CRC Ranch were super friendly and awesome. The only cons is there are some dirt areas since it is a ranch, so be mindful when booking during the rainy seasons. Planning a wedding is already stressful, and communication is one of the most important parts of the process. The lack of professionalism and responsiveness ultimately led us to decide not to move forward with this venue. It's disappointing because the property appeared to have potential, but reliable communication and professionalism matter just as much as the venue itself. At the beginning of the lesson the horse they gave me to ride was taken to the round pen to exercise out some of his energy, which I thought was kind of odd. Then I was told to get on the horse. As soon as I swung my leg over the saddle to mount the horse, he started bucking. I ended up behind the saddle sitting on the horse's rump struggling to stay seated but then finally went flying off. I was really surprised that I was given a horse like that because this was the first time I had ever been there. I tried to get on again and the horse tried to buck again. Someone grabbed his head and I was finally able to get on the horse. After that he was fine but I had some massive bruises the next day. I think Green Acres needs to have better trained horses.

She gave us a tour, then taught my daughters how to groom and clean their hooves. The horses appeared to be rescued and rehabilitated, which is always my preference. She took Dancer out to the ring and had both girls ride bareback. My oldest is painfully shy and crumples with direction or correction. This is something we are working on, especially because she so desperately wants to be around horses. Robin was patient and communicative. She gave each toddler a turn on the horse, while the other could play with spoons in the dirt. This worked very well for us. My children's attention span stopped short around their lunch time, when they got whiny and stubborn. Robin did not take it personally and made sure to offer them the opportunity for another ride. Both girls refused and collected lemons from her grove instead. We went back to the tent and made lemonade. Consequently, both girls took a two hour nap after the lesson. THUMBS UP! We hope to return.

There's a variety of breeds to accommodate riders at any level. The owner, Kathy, gave me a nice lesson on horse behaviors before we started riding. She showed me how to maintain safety precautions and how to brush the horse. Once the actual riding portion of the lesson began, I rode a Quarter Horse while Kathy rode alongside of me on her horse. I felt very safe the entire time. On the track, there are mirrors to help you with your posture (which is essential to horseback riding). They're patient, professional, and genuinely want to teach you as much as they can. One of the best parts is that the lessons are individual, which makes it so much easier to learn, especially if you're a beginner. The lesson horses are the sweetest! They're well-trained, gentle, and actually listen to you, which makes a huge difference. Our pilot had so much fun knowledge of the area and kept everyone engaged and entertained. At the end, they provided a champagne toast and certificates which was such a nice touch. The Headless Horseman Carriage Ride was definitely a hit! When my nephew asked his daughter, what was the favorite thing about our family get together, she said, the Headless Horseman ride. We also found a Great Pyrenees on site that she fell in love with. This dog was such a sweetie! It was about a 20-minute horse-drawn wagon ride through Wine Country Hollow where we saw some cute Halloween and fall scenes and then we had a magical encounter with the Headless Horseman! There is coffee, hot chocolate & treats available from Coffee Cave to enjoy before or after your ride. Everybody working we're all fun and friendly. The Headless Horseman ride is available select October nights from 5:30 to 9:30 PM at a reasonable $15. This fills quickly, though, and we were lucky to get a reservation. I would love to come back and try some of their other carriage rides.
