At the beginning of the lesson the horse they gave me to ride was taken to the round pen to exercise out some of his energy, which I thought was kind of odd. Then I was told to get on the horse. As soon as I swung my leg over the saddle to mount the horse, he started bucking. I ended up behind the saddle sitting on the horse's rump struggling to stay seated but then finally went flying off. I was really surprised that I was given a horse like that because this was the first time I had ever been there. I tried to get on again and the horse tried to buck again. Someone grabbed his head and I was finally able to get on the horse. After that he was fine but I had some massive bruises the next day. I think Green Acres needs to have better trained horses.

There's a variety of breeds to accommodate riders at any level. The owner, Kathy, gave me a nice lesson on horse behaviors before we started riding. She showed me how to maintain safety precautions and how to brush the horse. Once the actual riding portion of the lesson began, I rode a Quarter Horse while Kathy rode alongside of me on her horse. I felt very safe the entire time. On the track, there are mirrors to help you with your posture (which is essential to horseback riding). I was able to take pictures with my horse and when the lesson was over, I fed my horse some treats. Great experience!

Safety and grooming came first, before riding. We both learned a lot! Mounting the horse was easy and safe, and learning to stop and start the horse came next. I'm not sure it's exactly like riding a bike--but Karen made me feel completely at ease from the start. Kiwi, my horse, was incredibly patient and gentle with me. I swear she knew I needed a little extra TLC! It made the whole experience so enjoyable and stress-free. I even got to do a tiny bit of trotting, which was such a fun bonus. Overall, it was such a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to try horseback riding or get back into it!

The minute I walked in here, I noticed how clean and well-organized the facility was. All the horses are absolutely beautiful and clearly very well cared for by the owners. Betsy and Robb are incredibly sweet -- they showed me around and gave me all the information I needed. I've taken lessons with both Betsy and Maddie, and each one has been phenomenal. They're patient, professional, and genuinely want to teach you as much as they can. One of the best parts is that the lessons are individual, which makes it so much easier to learn, especially if you're a beginner. The lesson horses are the sweetest! They're well-trained, gentle, and actually listen to you, which makes a huge difference. The facility also has a cozy lounge and an outdoor seating area if you want to hang out and enjoy some nature time after your ride. Even though we never participated in any horse events, we loved the facilities overall. The field was always pristine and well cared for. The overall facility was very impressive and the track was always groomed and ready for action. Only real drawbacks are the location. Deep in south Temecula off 79 South and parking was a little rough unless you were willing to off-road a bit to get closer. Other than that, great facility for soccer and I'd imagine the equestrian events would be spectacular in this setting.

I always liked the idea of riding a horse but was always afraid I would fall off and break a few…read morebones. Being completely new I needed someone with a TON of patience. I took lessons at a few other places and couldn't seem to find the right person with the right amount of patience for me (yes I'm that difficult) . I finally got in touch with Amy over at Hanover saddle club and she was able to get me started right away even with my difficult schedule. She was so patient with me, and her love and knowledge about horses was far beyond anything I ever knew. First lesson she let me ride cute little domino (princess pony). It was perfect because I was still not comfortable getting on the big horses - still afraid of falling off. Domino was just the right size for me and she is just so adorable. Now that I have become more comfortable with this horsey stuff I bring my daughter and husband with me for lessons and we all go out on the trails and it is absolutely beautiful with the sunset! Now my 9 year old is riding domino, and my husband loves slack. Currently I'm riding jazz- he is a must ride horse! When you visit please tell Amy I sent you to ride jazz you will love him!!!! I grew up with horses and knew I wanted my daughter to experience that same environment I did as a child. I wasn't sure if she would like it but she ended up LOVING every moment of it. The ladies there are so kind and patient. I can't wait to take my daughter back next week. She is counting the hours to her next lesson. Hanover is the best place to get lessons for riding!
