After not having a primary in a few years I started with Dr. Hansen, the check in process from the phone was a breeze for the first time the only down side I can say was the way they had to send me my paperwork and not being able to email it out to the patient. My uncle has been seen by Dr Hansen and I take him to all his apportionments and Dr Hansen has been awesome. I wanted to establish Dr Hansen as my primary care Dr as I think he probably one of the best in the high desert. I was excited to know they were taking my insurance and scheduled an appt for myself even though they were booked out a month and half I was willing to wait. I was truly excited about establishing a relationship with Dr Hansen and looking forward for him to be my primary care Dr. especially because I am getting older and need a good primary care Dr to assist me and give me some guidance. Unfortunately I received a call today with them declining to see me because a yelp review that I made over 10yrs ago. Honestly I didn't even remember making that yelp review. It's just a bummer because that was over 10yrs ago and was a very difficult time in my life of stress and depression. Called in today an try to get a refill on my prescription an the office manager got on the phone and said she can't do that in till I pay off my balance of $400 an I told her I just made a $125 payment 2 weeks ago and she said no I had pay it off so she can send me a refill on my meds. An she was very rude about it I asked her for the number to make a payment an I said ima write a bad review an that which said she will divorce me as a patient and HUNG UP ON ME and never gave me the # so I can make other payment. so be careful with this office. Dr Hansen and his staff are amazing. They work as an incredible team to make sure all aspects of your health are addressed. I love that Dr Hansen is not super quick to "had out pills" for everything and will listen when I want to talk about alternative treatments like supplements and vitamins. When I was 18 this doctors office screwed up my credit with a $61 collections bill. There was a mixup (I thought my health insurance through my dad had no co-pay), and they sent it to collections. I needed to find a General Practitioner here in the high desert, Dr Hansen was a preferred provider of my PPO. My visit was scheduled with the Nurse Practitioner J. Hernandez, she was very knowledgeable, professional and thorough, the office staff were all professional and kind, the office clean and neat. My boyfriend was diagnosed with cancer recently and Dr. Hansen and Quinn has been his doctors for years. I am a manager for a medical office of 4 providers so I have a hard time digesting how this office has treated him. My bf tried leaving a message for the doctor so he could discus a plan of treatment but I was thrown back when the office staff said the docto will get the reports and since you have a PPO you can self direct your own treatment. OMG...what is the job of a primary doctor right. It's to help direct the patient for proper care and to manage their treatment. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE. This doctor and his employees are totally incompetent. First of all Hansen only sees you twice a year and the nurse practitioner is in charge thereafter. Each time you go in for an appointment, they do not keep good records which requires going into another explanation of your medical. They prescribed a medication that enteracted with his other medications which caused a severe reaction and the VA had to get him straightened out. When he reminded the nurse practitioner that he has PTSD from Vietnam, the nurse practitioner came back saying that she had PTSD from working with children. You never come back to the patient with your issues. This man is a highly decorated Vietnam Vet with PTSD of which he has had extensive care for and they treated him like a criminal. The front office is full of medical assistants that have no personality or compassion. This office dropped him without any notification and left him with no way to get his needed medications. Dr Hansen has been my doctor for five years but when I recently questioned an error in billing and got the full on rude treatment from the office staff my wife and I won't be going back. It takes over two months to get an appointment and then to be over billed and talked to like an uneducated simpleton by someone that at best holds a certificate in answering the phones...I don't think so. read more

Yes, he is very nice, but difficult to see in person.. And yes PA Quyen is terrific. However, they are the only reason that I don't switch plans. His staff get my appointments mixed up. The dark haired one that sits at the front desk is incredibly rude. It's probably because she puts on a different demeanor in his presence. I don't think he would tolerate her rudeness to his patients. But once again if he is difficult to see in person she'll continue on the payroll! read more

Dr. Eric Hansen takes extra, special care of his patients! He consistently spends quality time in every visit. He does have bed side manners and has always been so pleasant. There have been a couple of times where I had to call in and ask for his advice of best approach to handle health symptoms and he communicates immediately--within the hour and takes urgent action. Most recently, this week he was a lifesaver! Because of his swift response and action, my Grandfather is back to health! He has been Dr. Hansen's patient for about 10 years now. I fully recommend Dr. Hansen and can't understand why so many people are giving bad reviews, please give him a try, you won't be sorry! read more

If you want to come to this place to see Dr. Hansen.........good luck. You will see his assistant for awhile then I guess if your lucky you will get a chance sometime. We just starting going to this place and after today I will never return. I had an appointment for 4:20 this afternoon and I busted my butt to get home from work change clothes and rush to the Doctors office. I was 5 minutes late, yes 5 minutes late. No one was in the waiting room and the receptionist went back and talked to someone then came back and told me I had to reschedule because I was late.......5 minutes late. Construction on Main street with a lane closure and they want me to reschedule. I told them they could just "kiss my ass" and walked out of there. They certainly don't mind you waiting 30 minutes past your appointment time in the waiting room but because I had the last appointment of the day the rules change. I'm to old to put up with their crap. No wonder the medical profession is going to hell in a hand basket. read more
