Our friend recommended Applewood and said that he had an appointment yesterday afternoon, and wondered if they could also fit us in as we live a few minutes away. My husband called and spoke to Pam, who couldn't have been more helpful. She worked her magic and within two hours, Rob Goossens arrived at our house. Rob was outstanding! Within a few minutes, he had diagnosed the problem. Luckily he had the part we needed and cool air was blowing almost immediately. We received our invoice which was about half the amount we had expected, which pleased us even more. You have a new customer for life and we not hesitate to let our neighbors know of our amazing experience!

While having our…read moreducts cleaned before a new furnace was being installed at the end of July there was damage done to 2 return air grilles & a floor vent, which I advised them of right away. Eric was apologetic & at the time offered to compensate me for the damage by either replacing them or reimbursing me for them. I chose to pick them up myself & advised him I would. It turns out I could not find the right size to replace one of the damaged grilles so I had to let them off the hook for it. They offered to get replacement grilles in mid-September so I sent the measurements I needed..... & that was the last time I heard from Eric. I did manage to get the replacements & have emailed receipts a couple of times now (we dealt with 2 floods in our basement this summer, so it took me a little longer than expected to replace them) I have not yet received a response to any of the emails I have sent in the last 3 months nor have I received the reimbursement that they offered to me when the damage occurred. Very poor customer service - if they were not prepared to reimburse me for the damage that they caused - they should not have suggested it!

On Boxing Day 2022 our hot water tank and boiler system decided to quit, spring a leak and flood…read moreour basement. I called APH Mechanical as they advertise 24 hour emergency service. Andrew was quick to reply and offer us a replacement system for $10,900. My brother in law is a plumber in the interior and he advised that the quote was probably $2,500 +/- overpriced, but we were in a pinch and it was the holidays. I agreed to move ahead with the overpriced install as we had a tenant moving in in 5 days. Sadly, this is where everything went further down hill. Upon installation, the hot water tank did not work. He had to get a new mother board for it (I believe now he probably sold us a used, or refurbished model). Andrew spent a week at our home every day trying to figure out the wiring and piping so the unit would actually work; I'm confident that he just rigged something together so he could get out of there and it would eventually fail, which is exactly what happened, despite the fact that he guaranteed me he installs tons of these IBC units and they are a bulletproof system. In May, we started getting more errors (F002 and F011) and the tank system would shut off. I tried reaching out to Andrew as he told me there was a 1 year warranty on the install, but he was a ghost and did not reply. It is now November, and the tank shuts down and has error codes on it every day. I have tried texting, emailing and leaving voicemails and only recently did he reply to my email saying he is on vacation until next year and I would have to take it up with someone else. So, since May I have been trying to reach him, but no answer and now he is conveniently on vacation until the warranty period that he told me about is over? In his email stating he was away for another 2 months, he said I most likely need an additional unit for the tank, which retail is $1,500, plus re-piping and labor, so easily looking at another $3,000. So all in all, $14,000 for a hot water tank ? His quote clearly stated it was a complete system, and the top of the line tank that could handle anything, and now it's not adequate to even run my kids a bath? I'm stuck with an $11,000 system that is 10 months old that doesn't work and apparently requires more work to do simple tasks like bath and run the dishwasher. The guy is a crook, his prices are through the roof, he is a liar and he ghosts people when issues arise (another guy posted this recently too). All he cares about is getting your money and getting out of there. He literally told me that he was "rich" and only does this job because he enjoys it. Who says that, especially to a client that you just took to the cleaners? Please do not hire the one man grease show that is APH Mechanical.

We call several plumbing contractors to only get a message mail box. We finally called Roto-Rooter and a live person answered the phone. Dana was very helpful and had a technician out to our home. He offered us a couple of option to get us up and running again. Kodie let us know that the tank was 18 years old and the repair option just didn't make sense. We gave him the go ahead and 3 hrs later we had hot water and a new hot water tank. The next day two other plumbers call to come have a look, we had to tell them the job was already done.
