we were very satisfied with our visit to hao sushi! the restaurant is very clean, welcoming, and updated. the service was very good. our waiter was attentive and kind. appetizer: we ordered the shrimp and vegetable tempura and a an appetizer special - spicy bomb bomb which were both very good. the tempura had a good variety of vegetables and the shrimp was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. the special was one of the best appetizers ive ever had at a japanese restaurant. i would order it every time if it were available. sushi: we had a large order - spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy salmon, celtics roll, and dragon roll. all of this came out very quickly and was amazing. honestly some of the best sushi rolls ive had recently. would DEFINITELY recommend hao sushi to others and will certainly return next time im in the foxboro/wrentham area. read more

I have to say, I'm quite amazed at the negative reviews. I LOVE Hao Sushi!. I go there for the sush, so I can't speak for the non-sushi items. Just the sushi, which is fabulous and fresh. The miso soup is what I order when I'm not feeling well (it's that good) It's not just the friendly, attentive, caring waitstaff (shout out to Alice and Tina). Even when it's busy, I have never had a long wait, and if it's busy, they stop by, more water, a smile, to say, food will be out shortly. Even if we have to wait, I would never remove a star. And quite frankly, IT'S WORTH THE WAIT! The food is amazing (read the google reviews). The staff is so friendly and accommodating (I need the sushi cut in thinner pieces and they always do it for me). Their fusion rolls are the best ever (especially the Angry Dragon Roll and the Sweetheart Roll, two of my favorites...actually, they are ALL my favorites!. Excellent sushi! A very nice, clean and attractive little restaurant. The sushi is very fresh and delicious. I've have visited twice; the first time I ordered an Explosion Hand Roll with the most creamy Uni that contrasted with the salty explosion of the Ikura eggs; loved it so much I reordered on my second visit , I just secretly wished the hand roll was larger. Also ordered an Oustanding and a Pyramid Roll, both were very tasty and different than other sushi restaurants. I had a very good Maitai to accompany my picks. The second time I ordered a Suffering Bastard for a cocktail which was good , the Explosive Handroll as I have indicated before, which I loved all over again, a Paradise Roll and a Tuna Volcano Roll which I couldn't finish and took home to finish for dinner. The service is friendly, and she knows every aspect of the menu and will adjust to your taste and needs. It is a wonderful experience and I will visit at least once weekly so I can taste and sample every item in their great menu. A gem!!! read more

We've had a good experience with takeout but had dinner tonight at the restaurant and it seemed like they were prioritizing takeout orders over dine-in. It took about 20 minutes for a server to get our drink orders and then an hour for sushi to come out. The food was tasty but not at all worth the long wait. We had two young kids with us which made it more challenging as well. read more

Seeing that it is not possible to give this place six stars, I will stick with five. Pick a variable, this place crushes it. Outstanding service... Today was the second time we have ever been and the waitress immediately recognized us and showed us to the table we had last time... She even remembered exactly what we ordered last time and it was weeks ago; this is uncanny. She was also very nice and professional. The sushi and sashimi are terrific, and the prices are very reasonable. This is gotta to be one of the best sushi places in the Metro West. read more

My husband and I were crushed when the former restaurant at this site closed down. We loved going there for all-you-can-eat sushi, even though the food was inconsistent and the ambience and service were pretty bad. So we were excited to see that another Japanese restaurant was getting ready to open, but then disappointed to learn that it wasn't going to offer all-you-can-eat sushi. We decided to give the new place a try and are glad we did. The new owners are friendly and attentive. They gave the place a complete facelift--replacing the rickety tables, brightening the walls, and adding two beautiful water features. They updated the menu, focusing on sushi and other Japanese dishes, including poke bowls. Most importantly, they greatly improved the quality of the food. We've gone there half a dozen times and haven't been disappointed yet. The sushi is super-fresh, the soft-shell crab in our most recent tempura order was light and fried to order, and the greens in my poke bowl are always crisp. We stop by mostly for lunch, for which they offer a nice selection of sushi, sashimi, and bento boxes. But we've seen other diners order special rolls that look delicious, and we look forward to returning for dinner and sampling them. Don't let the restaurant's ugly exterior fool you. This is a lovely restaurant with lovely hosts and lovely food! read more

I'm literally still eating as I write this review, on my first visit to this restaurant. The staff and atmosphere are wonderful and only surpassed by the quality and presentation of the food. I had a dragon roll to start, and a poke bowl for my entre. I've had many dragon rolls, and this tops them all. Warm and cold in the right places and balanced perfectly. You can customize the poke bowl however you'd like, but I went with the waitress's recommendation for preparation. I was not disappointed. The exterior of the building hides a real gem contained within, and I can't wait to tell others about my experience. I would easily drive 40 minutes out of my way to come back. read more
