Needed more vegetables in the entree .Lunch special came with a side and ordered beef teriyaki. I think soup was included , but never offered or got any soup? Egg rolls were cold and might have been good if fried fresh. Beef and mushrooms was ok, but cold and no flavors to sauce. The duck sauce in bottle was watered down to water ? Beef teriyaki no teriyaki flavor but was tender . It was ok for lunch special and I guess if driving by and need a lunch ? The good: The prices are cheap* and the quality is largely reflected in that equation. Food is mediocre all around with a few exceptions. The orange beef was texturally satisfying and had good flavor; as did the boneless spareribs. The bad: The salt and pepper squid was not good and although was visually appealing; tasted awful. The fried rice with the lunch special had pork pieces that tasted old/expired. The hot and sour soup was mediocre and not very tasty but not terrible. I came in at 2:50 right before lunch ended; the place was empty except for a few alcoholics at the bar; and there was no one there to seat me; there appeared to be only 1 person working the bar/register and seating people. I had to awkwardly stand around waiting for about 5 minutes to be seated, even though the restaurant was basically empty. Clearly understaffed. The ugly: The single manager working; who was clearly not an amateur, and was a seasoned pro, overcharged my meal with a whopping "10 $ tip" included, which I almost didn't notice, because I was tired and not really paying attention. Either this manager is incompetent or worse, intentionally tried to overcharge me thinking he could slip it by me; either way it soured my entire dining experience and this will be the first, and last time I will be patronizing this establishment. I don't know who was cooking the food yesterday but it was horrible. The spareribs on the bone was in some wierd orange sauce, the chicken fingers were horrid, the moo shiu had no taste, egg rolls were dry, The beef Terriyaki and chicken chow Mein as well as the pork fried rice were very good. I work a couple miles up the road from this place, and when I asked my coworkers about good food in the area, they told me Eastern Pearl was the best Chinese food. They are correct. I commute to Sharon, MA from Rhode Island and this is the best Chinese food between Providence and Boston, and I'd argue it's better than most of those places as well. I've only had delivery, so I cannot comment on the location itself. I'm told it's very basic. But I know my coworker goes there regularly for cocktails and she seems to like it as a simple local watering hole. I look forward to ordering from here whenever I'm on a 3pm - 11pm shift (which unfortunately is rare). Sadly they do not do delivery for lunch time (to my knowledge delivery starts at 2:30pm). But I typically order the more Americanized type stuff: sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, Pu Pu platter stuff. It's always fantastic. Delivery is usually pretty quick but I'm also only working like 2 miles right up route 1. My only complaint and it's probably not even their fault, is on the 3rd party website (Chinese Menu, I think it's called) it said they were closed on Christmas Eve. Probably one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to they are still not open for indoor seating during the week but I think they're open for indoor seating on Friday Saturday and Sunday. For them it's a staffing thing not a rule thing it's just not having a staff.Every time we have gone the other food has always been impeccable it has been nice and neat and clean and friendly and the food is always been hot and fresh and still hot we get home which is about 10 minutes from the restaurant which is really an exceptional thing. The food is going downhill. I Oder from you guys a few months ago and the food was really goo. I order on August 14,2021 And the crab Rangoon were not cooked all the way. The pork fired rice had no taste and the sweet and sour chicken was chicken fingers not the little chicken bites or whatever they were the last time I got them this time they had pineapple and cherries and that sticky sauce not a fan of chicken fingers Which they were really dry. Don't bother. Redecorated interior, but horrible service and food sub par. Stopped in for a quick dinner after work with wife and two children. I arrived early and manager (older gentlemen) seemed fine - place was empty (5 PM) - no music, barely any lights, no AC. Rest of family arrived and another younger man brought menus, asked for drinks. He seemed bothered to take care of the table, and another table of customers. Eventually drinks arrived - don't ask for hot tea (our tea was black in color, which meant it was sitting in their coffee maker maybe overnight, with the leaves steeping until the tea turned black - my wife said do not drink). We waited, waited then ordered. She asked him about the beef chow fun - how was it, etc? He just put it on the ticket and then said "beef". My wife and I looked at each other, and just understood that this was going to be a bad meal. She ordered one other dish - general gao's chicken and some rice - figuring just eat this and leave for somewhere else. Glad that we did - with only two tables of guests, took too long to cook these two dishes - the noodles were reheated, because they clumped together in wads. At least the chef should have run them through some hot water to separate them. Tasted okay, but my daughter said it was like chewing gum. The chicken was mostly breading. Son ordered a california roll - six segments for like $6 - even the grocery store take-out is a better price and more pieces. Kids were fighting over six pieces. This place is bad and paints a bad picture of family-run Chinese restaurants. Past visits we had female waiter and manager - maybe they were out for the day, or too early (5 PM) for dinner "rush". I have bought take out and those visits were better. Don't know what is going on, but never again, regardless of the convenience. about a week after the previous review was posted, without directly contacting us, the owner/manager Mr Wong sent us a personal letter apologizing for the incident, along with a gift certificate in hopes to get us to patronize again. the gc is not necessary but the gesture of the letter alone is well appreciated. so we went back with my family for dinner one day. waitress was friendly to us...almost a little too friendly bc we look/speak the same as her and she might have wanted some connection being out of chinatown. which i understand but they have to understand too that too many personal questions at first visit makes some people uncomfortable -- kinda like the first date, you know lol. getting down to business, we ordered some sushi and some Chinese dishes, one of which was the pork shoulder my dad likes and she recommended. so it's settled. food came... that pork shoulder did not look as brown (from braising in the sauce) as expected. i couldn't comment on taste as i don't think i took any bite, bc it was not appealing for me to do so. other food...ok as usual. service was not lacking, but on par with small town Chinese restaurants (a bit slow paced). there's a bar right by entrance with a few patrons, but we were the only table in the dining area. they had a few takeout orders in during the course of our meal too. they did spend some money on decor, it looks, but the place is still somehow empty. either the location isn't ideal, or people just don't know about them. all in all, not bad, and i do wish them well in the business. but, it is a tough competition out there, even just amongst the Chinese/Asian category. they have to do something to stand out, or they will sink fast. maybe having Keno there is one way of surviving? p.s. gave them a 4-star for the gesture of their gc -- NOT because i got "free" food (trust me, I spent a lot more in return) nor that i'm converted, but fact that they did the "right" thing in an effort to make their customers happy should be commended. read more

Was pretty disappointed overall. They didn't include the 3 orders if sushi in my pickup order and they asked if they could deliver it instead, which was very thoughtful of them. However, only two of the orders arrived. I ordered veggie lo mein but received pork lo mein (luckily no one in my house is a vegetarian so we just ate it). Crab Rangoon didn't have much flavor at all. The saving grace was the Peking ravioli. They looked pretty weird but tasted really good. This is one of those hidden gem Chinese restaurants that you pass on your way home everyday and just never really have time to stop in. But trust me, once you stop there, you will always want to stop agin and again. First let's start with the best part of Chinese restaurants - the drinks! Well I can tell you they have some of my absolute favorite and I am well known for being picky about drinks. My personal favorite is the scorpion bowl but a close second is, of course, their Mai tai. What makes there Mai tai even better than most is that they have what is called a "special Mai tai" and it is located with alcohol and tastes great! Because of how much alcohol they actually have to limit you to just one...well unless you know the bartender! There food is great and has some of my favorite dishes cooked just the way I like it! My favorites are beef chow food, general gaus chicken and the shrimp Shumai! They also have really a huge variety of yummy sushi options! And when you visit don't forget to check out there happy hour bar menu items! It is loaded with crowd favorites and are such a bargain prices you could eat for hours! This is not a place I typically go to for a nice sit down meal but it is definitely a place to go for an awesome and fun bar experience. There bar is huge and as I mentioned there drinks are great! They have tv's in multiple locations and a dart board for that's wicked fun! Definitely a place I recommend for people who need a great bar atmosphere with awesome drinks! I'm upset at the service, yes it's busy but a restaurant team should be prepared for this, ESPECIALLY if this is a business that has been around for awhile. I come here all the time and the staff is great, I'm a regular but we waited for a table with 5 people for over a half an hour before we got to order. We've been fairly pleased with Eastern Pearl. The salt & pepper Wings are a favorite. The crab rangoons are some of the better ones in the area, but there are a few things that could be improved upon. The wonton soup has way too many vegetables in it. It's more of a vegetable stew with a couple of wontons. There is not nearly enough broth. And the sushi is just ok. There is definitely better sushi in the area. So right after the Beyonce concert, my friends and I walked over to the only open restaurant on the strip. This place was packed with only two people working. They were pleasant, super nice, and apologetic about the long wait. There was only one chef working and with a bunch of customer flowing it at the same time, it was def more than they could handle. We waited about 40 minutes for our food to show up but was understanding, as they were understaffed for the amount of people coming in. This is the worst dinning experience I ever had and the funny part is I didn't even get to dine. I walk in and i ask for seat and they told me I had to seat at the bar because the dinning room was closed.
