We started with the dumplings for an app, which has a great texture, a light taste that hints at lemongrass. Sangria and aloe juice were just two of MANY drink options, from Asian classics like Scorpion bowls to an original iced Calpico. I ordered spicy Japanese ramen with rice noodles, excited to find a place that does real ramen! The sushi selection is endless, with many dishes I've never seen before. My boyfriend ordered the Scorpion roll and we both wanted to try the Kaya Maki, which is lobster salad with Three types of roe. Everything tastes fresh and perfectly cooked. Great texture and prices I only wish it was closer to the Cape, for the prices and quality of the food, and the friendliness of the staff, plus a selection of Asian snacks to buy at the counter, makes this one of the best places we've been to this year.

Service is somewhat slow, but the food is really good. The Maguro House noodle soup with udon and pork with egg is a good buy. The stir fried spicy ramen with beef is also be dry good.

Wife picked up some Valentine's Day dinner takeout from Maguro. No place to park, plus the snow piles made it difficult for her to walk on the sidewalk. City should fine these vendors for not clearing their sidewalks. Anyway, ordered seaweed salad; sushi; udon noodles; chicken katsu - for two adults and two children. Salad was good, but a very small order. Udon noodles with chicken was tasty. Chicken katsu had a nice sauce on it and the piece was nicely cut up. Came with some white rice, a small bowl of miso soup. Sushi was good - two california rolls, soft shell crab roll, spicy yellowtail and a tuna roll. All the rolls seemed fresh and tasty, but the wasabi and ginger was barely visible for five (5) rolls, plus 3-4 packages of soy sauce. Overall, a nice meal, though Maguro should focus on the finishing touches to make the order worth $80 - like the seaweed salad at other places include a lemon slice for flavor; the sushi presented with some greens around it; and the chicken katsu with some greens, or maybe some broccoli, A little presentation, even if sitting in plastic takeout containers, would not cost them that much more, but win some regular customers.

Stopped in for lunch around 2pm. Decor is dark lighting…read morevibes and looks more like a nighttime lounge. Needs a brighter cheerful vibe.... But I came for the food . The country music playing created a genre of a country cowboy eating roadkill over a camp fire vs.dining on fresh Chinese food. If you want a soothing Gregorian chant music by a Buddhist monk as you dine, then this isn't the place. I ordered a Delight of three lunch special as sounded a bit erotic. I did chose the pork rice upgrade. It came with hot and sour soup. I ordered an app of teriyaki and app of chicken wings. The delight of three would have been more delightful if a bigger portion was served but nevertheless... it was excellent freshness, prepared well with the 3 delights of shrimp, chicken, beef , vegetables. It was freshly prepared and not a reheated dish. The rice was very good, fresh and not a big pile of rice but just the right quantity for me. The teriyaki was excellent, tender and I would have preferred a bit more ginger flavor or a char to the edges or surface... but nonetheless I was fine as each stick cut like butter and the chew was easy on my jaw bone. The hot and sour soup was a bit cold and was plenty of ingredients with a kick. But I prefer on cooler side vs boiling hot to burn my tongue. I value my tongue to enjoy the tastes of the delight of three. The star of my dining was the chicken wings. These wings were freshly fried and not a reheat of previously cooked wings. The golden crisp skin makes these among some of the best wings . I would have preferred the wings cut into drums and flats as I have to eat that way anyway . I would have like a bit more marinate to the wings that would put these on an even higher level. Again, the crisp skin makes these great wings. I think the food quality was excellent, and reasonable pricing . I will return and see that the chicken wings possess the golden crisp skin attributes that I can eat it them everyday.

My favorite thing to get is a "build your own bowl," which I load up with fix-ins and toppings to complement the raw fish kick. The staff here are very friendly - the young man and woman are always working hard, and it's really awesome that they can always greet customers with such enthusiasm. If you're timid about building your own poké, they have signature bowls you can choose from on their menu. The large bowl is extremely filling, and they don't skimp on the protein scoops. Generally, I mix tuna, salmon and shrimp on sushi rice. Cucumber, mango, jalapeños and edamame are a must in terms of adding color and more flavor to the bowl. Green onions, pickled ginger, masago and kani salad are awesome to top off the bowl, and avocado when I want to splurge. The chojang sauce is my favorite one to toss everything together, and wonton crisps and shredded nori will forever be my go-to crunchy toppings. So there you have my custom bowl - not to sound biased, but I think you'll love it if you try it. The service is excellent - I've never had a problem with my order. The team members take their time, and the hospitality is great. They're happy to explain menu items or offer new suggestions, which I really appreciate as an indecisive but particular person. I commend them for holding down the fort and serving clients - very impressive, and I can only imagine switching between making drinks and building bowls. Speaking of, I appreciate how they have Loose Leaf, the boba shop, inside Pokemoto as well to fuel the bubble tea cravings. Everything here (and there) is high quality (stay tuned for my Loose Leaf review), and I enjoy the matchacado smoothie with boba a lot. I'm a wee bit worried about cleanliness in the dining areas at times, but it's not the end of the world (a napkin would do), and the recent times I've grabbed something from Pokemoto, I've taken it to go. I understand the establishment is more fast casual, and it can be tough to keep up at times - this is more of a reflection on past patrons who may not see the line of crumbs or utensil sleeves they leave behind. Overall, I love this location - ample parking and seating. I think it would also be nice to have seats for solo visitors and couples (at times I feel bad occupying a booth that could fit at least six people) - it would be cool if the boba shop was set up cafe style for longer stays (will gladly order 3 matchacados in one "WFH" session).

Would've been nice if they let me know so I could substitute it with something else. Another bowl we ordered, looked so empty! The amount of food was so pathetic that I was pissed that it cost $16+. We only ordered cuz we were in the area but never again. Used to drive here but not worth it.
