I'd been here many times attending popup events. The store mainly offers various Korean skincare products, fragrances and makeup. They also carry contact lenses in different colors and shades but not prescription ones. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They're always available to answer any questions you might have. They also have a Photo Booth on site but I wasn't sure if it's free or not because I haven't used it. The selections though are limited and available only for limited time as they continuously rotate different brands but if you love Korean products, this is your go to store.

I've attended several pop-ups here, including ones by Huxley, I'm From, and a K-beauty collective, and wanted to share my overall experience (7/10). First off, I really appreciate the brands for hosting these events and being generous with giveaways. It's always exciting to see pop-ups bring the community together and offer samples or full-size products for us to try, outside of influencers! That said, here are a few things to keep in mind: - Social media promos can be a bit misleading. They often advertise $150+ worth of goodies for RSVP + attendance, but in reality, most of what you receive is sample-sized, and the total value might not even come close to that. Go in with managed expectations. - Be prepared to wait. If the event gains traction online (especially via TikTok or Instagram), wait times can stretch to 4+ hours--especially if you want to be among the first in line. Bring umbrellas, chairs, or a towel to sit in to make the experience more manageable. - Event organization can be hit or miss. At some pop-ups, distribution hasn't been super fair. Some people end up walking away with more items, even if they arrived later, which is frustrating after a long wait. I have also seen them let influencers just walk in and handed them a bag with way more goodies. Street parking is your best bet, and I've had decent luck finding spots nearby. Overall, it's a fun experience if you love beauty products and enjoy the pop-up vibe! Just go in with realistic expectations and a bit of patience :)

Overall - 8/10 - It was a wonderful experience coming to Hapa Kristin for a k-beauty pop-up. They had a. great space that was mostly pink throughout with wonderful display of k-beauty products throughout from huxley. They also had a booth where you ca n get introduced to their contacts, but I don't wear any so did not go look in that area. Pop-Up - I attened a Huxley Pop-Up and I had a great experience. It was a nice pop-up where you got freebies and could also purchase other products. Some of the staff were nice, but some where giving more products to some people instead of others. I cam home with a bunch of freebies throughout the pop-up. You would receive k-beauty goodies with a wristband and other k-beauty products from games. There was also a cute photobooth that provided free coupons to tkae 8 photos. Overall Experience - It was a wonder experience that started with long weights to get into the store that also subsided as it got later in the day and later in the giveaway period. It can get a bit crowded in their and the staff of were good at directing people to the games, but would also give certain people more products than others.

i came here with my friend and the inside was cool and clean. i came here for contact lenses but you're required to pay for eye exam before you're able to get the colored contacts. the eye exam was very through and took about 25 minutes.

I attended the Valentine's Day event they hosted with Skin 1004 and I had a great experience. I have worn contacts for over a decade and I was offered a really good deal to try their colored contacts with a free exam. They charged $50 for a pair of four pairs of monthly contacts which is a great deal in my option. I was able to try them on and consult with their staff about what would look good with my skin complexion. It was a very smooth and comfortable experience. I also got to try the photo booth and had a blast with my pup. It was a nice booth because you could take 8 pictures and it let you pic four of them to print. You also were able to edit the pictures and layout which was fun. So far my contacts have been great and I'm really enjoying the product. Thank you to the staff for such a smooth experience to celebrate Valentine's Day.

The colored contacts are great and the experience here is fun, but Hapa Kristin has room for improvement regarding their logistics and customer service. My friend and I booked an appointment online for a Saturday since we wanted to take advantage of their October package deal that included a color analysis. The appointment was named an "eye exam" on the confirmation email. I guess you can walk in and just buy contacts and get the benefits of any promotions, which seem to change often! Check their website/Instagram to see what's going on. You need to have an account with a "Hapa Kristin" prescription to buy any lens. My friend and I brought our own prescription so we didn't need to do a full eye exam. My friend did have to do some more tests than me for some reason (when we were both getting plano aka 0.0 prescription lens, since we see fine without glasses). We weren't sure what the process was for getting lens, the color consultation, checking out etc. and were just waiting around. My friend finished her eye "exam" first and was told to choose from 4 colors to try on, the gray one she wanted was unavailable though. I had to wait awhile to get my pair of lens to try on even though by the time the tech came back with my friend's pair, I was ready to be helped and right next to her. She just didn't ask me which lens I needed even though that was the next step. Instead, she left to go watch another shopper. Anyways, I eventually got my hazel lens and my friend suggested we switch one lens from our pair to try out the different colors. The tech said we couldn't do that without explaining. We both thought this step was to try on colors to see what kind of lens we wanted because no one told us it was actually lens to test our vision! It didn't occur to us since we just wanted fun colored contact lens. IMPORTANT: Nobody told us that these try-on lens would count as one of our pair of lens from the package deal. It caught me off guard when I found out after my color consultation. After our vision with the try-on lens were confirmed as good to go, we paid for $50 for the base package and moved onto the color consultation. The color consultation itself was fun and informative. We got recommendations on which lens best suited us as well. I liked the process for shopping for the lens. You pick the colors you want by bringing color cards to the check out station. Unfortunately, THREE of the colors I wanted were out of stock. That was a major let down and I had to settle for the lens I ended up with. When I got home, I was further disappointed to find out that the $100 value k-beauty gift bag included in my package was only at most $46. I also didn't get any contact solution that should have been included in my package. It seems like the changing promotions have been confusing the workers and there isn't a streamlined process to make sure customers get what they are expecting. I do have to say that the photobooth was fun and the ice cream bar was delicious! Hope this review helps first timers who don't know what to expect a bit!

I attended a pop-up event for Skin 1004. The store was clean and decorated in a vibrant pink theme. The photo booth was free on event day, it usually costs $5, and parking was limited to street parking only. It would be useful if they listed prices up front for the services offered.

The store is absolutely gorgeous don't get me wrong. Be prepared for street parking as well. Each of there contact lens display has like these cards where u are able to see what the lens look on your eye color. I loved the overall design but it was a difficult process. $100 for an eye examination to get free contacts (typical $35) was their offer I thought I could just bring in my prescription but turns out my insurance isn't liable w/ the FDA so I had to do the eye examination :/ I don't understand why they only allows certain insurance cause it defeats the purpose of bringing in your own contact prescription.

Excited to be living in LA and have their flagship store open. Its really the first of its kind. The store is cute and staff was friendly. They dodged a deal where you got some freebies when hey first opened. Unfortunately they make you pay to renew your prescription with them even if you have a legit Rx within the last year. Im not sure how they do it if you dont require contacts that have prescription. I still think they make you have an exam? They might say something like its some legal thing but i think its just a money grab that they have to "renew" it. Also their website changed completely for the US and a lot of loyal customers are mad that only a few options are available to them. Overall they sell quality contacts that look natural, however again it is a limited selection. You get to actually see what the contacts would look like on you. Compared to other contact websites you cant try them on obviously but then you dont have to pay for the renewal or exam. Honestly if you wear colored contacts or like Hapa brand enough its worth a visit and probably best to stock up.

    Skin analysis recommendations

Hanna did a skin analysis for me and was very helpful in finding new products that would work well with my current skin care routine!

I love Hapa Kristin!! They have the cutest eye contacts. I have the best time selecting the color I want!

Now, with Dr. Osaka's new prescription, I can actually see again, thank goodness! And yesterday, when I went to pick up my glasses, Jacqueline, the general manager, went well out of her way to take care of me. The owners and his wife were always incredibly kind, welcoming, and provided excellent service and fair pricing. Even after they moved to LA, I willingly made the long drive because of my trust in them. Their daughter became the optometrist a long time ago, and seeing her now made me realize how much time has passed and that the owners seem to be looking forward to retirement. Unfortunately, the customer service has severely deteriorated due to a middle-aged manager and a couple of senior staff members. This manager acts as if they own the place and has been consistently rude to both customers and new employees. I kept returning hoping it would improve, but every visit was uncomfortable. The breaking point was when a new employee correctly identified a lens mistake made by another staff member. Instead of being grateful, the manager publicly yelled at and took her anger out on that new employee right in front of customers. Seeing such unprofessional behavior made me decide never to return. I heard they recently moved locations again. If that same manager and those rude staff members are still working there, I strongly advise against going. The original owners built a wonderful business, but the current staff is completely ruining it.

Full disclose, this review is regarding my experience only ordering glasses, no optometrist visit…read more TLDR: I got what I needed, but will keep looking for a different place for my family's needs. My toddler daughter needed glasses and we already had a prescription from her pediatric Ophthalmologist. I was searching for a place closer to home that carried toddler frames, because the recommendations from her pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Dohney eye institute in Pasadena were all in SGV. I called New Vision specifically asking about frames for my 20-month old and after being satisfied with their answers, made an appointment. However, their selection was disappointing and they didn't have the strap-on toddler frames, as I was told on the phone. I went with the only viable option reluctantly because I wanted to get the glasses and didn't want to waste more time. I gave them the prescription (in paper form) and they had trouble with their scanner so told me they'd give it back to me when we picked up the glasses. I asked if my daughter needed to be present, and they said yes. When glasses were ready, they texted me at 3:48 Friday asking me to make an appointment, and said they were closing at 4:15 and reopened on Monday. Had I been notified even a couple hours earlier, I could have rearranged my schedule instead of waiting until Monday. So that was disappointing. Finally when picking them up, my daughter tried them on but they didn't really do anything else so not sure why my daughter needed to be present or why I needed to make an appointment. And they also didn't have the paper prescription that I had been promised. The person giving me the glasses made zero effort and just told me how easy it is to request it again from the ophthalmologist office. I obviously know this. This just underscored to me that things aren't communicated properly about patient requests.
