They carry lots of goods ranging from apparel, stickers, enamel pins, acrylic keychains, plushies, washi tape, journals, albums, card holders, prints, and more! All of their inventory is made up of small independent artists who supply their products to Happibara Station. They are on the 1F and 2F of the mall, and each shop has unique merchandise! The cashier was so friendly and even reminded me that they did 2 hour parking validation for the parking structure directly connected to the mall. Cuteness overload. Back in the day, I would have to go to Anime Expo once a year, at Artist Alley, to find anime inspired art and accessories. I'm so glad this place exist. The Galleria seemed like a dying mall and I'm glad there's new revival to the space. I picked up a $40 enamel pin (which I know, it is a lot). It brings me joy every time I look at it, so those little moments is going to pay off. There a lot of things to look at in a tiny space and it's a perfect place to find unique gifts for friends and family. read more

*note: when i had reviewed the paper pup station, i hadn't realized it was attached to happibara station! i've seen happibara station come across my feed on instagram a handful of times from artists i follow, so i've been meaning to stop by for a while. i was finally able to do so today and, even though i didn't end up getting anything on the second floor (first floor was another story), i really loved the variety they had. the first floor felt more like mainstream stuff, like jjk, haikyuu, kpop demon hunters, etc., while the second floor had more niche finds, which i loved. i even found charms for anime that i've literally never seen merch for before, like orange! i also loved the setup; though small and quaint, it was very well organized. my bf ended up buying some stuff, and even though i didn't, it still felt like such a fun experience. it felt like visiting your favorite artist alley at a con... a little con-away-from-con moment. :) read more

Happibara Station (located in Little Tokyo Galleria) is a small and cute shop featuring anime & artcraft from various independent artists. Apparently the shop was inspired by artist alleys from anime conventions, but everything is condensed into one small and one medium brick-and-mortar shops. The main shop is located on the 2nd floor, but recently they added additional space on the 1st floor for bigger items. Visitors can scan QR codes for additional information on independent artists. [Parking]: Little Tokyo Galleria has a designated parking structure. 2-hour free validated parking with a purchase of $10 or more at the shop on the 2nd floor. Parking can be difficult whenever there's an event at Little Tokyo Galleria (e.g. Los Angeles Little Tokyo Flea Market). [Items]: On the 2nd floor, I found a lot of unique (yes including yaoi & Shoujo) keychains, stickers, pins, plushies, etc. One the 1st floor, the shop has tote bags, selected t-shirts, pins, purses, etc. Some examples include a moon-shape bag, a USPS look-alike bag stating "Dragon Mail Postal Service" with a silhouette of Dragonite, Butterfree hair claws, [Conclusion]: This is the ultimate brick-and-mortar destination for anyone who's looking for niche and custom anime items. As someone visiting from out of state, I loved that I was able to shop merch from some of the artists that I follow on social media! I don't really get the chance to go to anime conventions in the area, so Happibara Station was the perfect solution. The items here are pretty similar to what you'd see at an artist alley at a convention, ranging from keychains, stickers and prints to t-shirts and bags. It's nice to see the products in person as opposed to ordering online from the artists. The workers were very kind and gave me a free sticker with their store mascot! It's a small shop located on the second floor in a shopping center that's a little empty and run down. The surrounding area is a little sketchy (slightly south of the main area of Little Tokyo, getting close to skid row). There were security guards in the mall dealing with an individual when we went. Just be aware when walking around. read more

Another cute shop added to the Little Tokyo line up. This one is located on the second floor of the Tokyo Galleria mall. I really do like what they're trying to do to inject life and community back into Little Tokyo. They had their grand opening somewhat recently and they also held a raffle in tandem with the Chiikawa Little Tokyo Flea market. Lots of visitors for the market enter into Happibara Station as well. When it gets crowded, there's staff to allow people in and out based on capacity. There is a very, very small selection of official goods for Chiikawa, Ghibli, Mofusand, and a couple others, but it's mostly a space for local artists to sell their goods. So if you're a regular at a lot of the SoCal anime conventions (think AX/ax chibi, ALA, Anime Impulse, etc.), there's a high chance that you've already encountered these artists and their goods. If you are not into repetition, it may not be the best for you, but if you missed something during the con, this may be the best bet since you're not so pressured by time or as large crowds. I managed to snag the Dungeon Meshi Costco fanzine I didn't get a chance to pre-order, so that was really nice! Great stop if you're in the area/or already at the Galleria for an event. read more

Nestled inside the top floor of the Little Tokyo Galleria Mall is this teeny little shop selling cute merchandise from local artists. Mostly Pokémon, Labubu, Ghibli, and other popular anime themes. I love to draw fanart myself but I heard that they are giving out copyright infringement notices to artists at conventions for using Pokémon and other anime characters that they do not own so that's definitely a risk. Not a ton of original content here being sold but definitely very cute/kawaii things here. Everything is priced pretty high because they want to make enough money for the store as well as the artist themselves to create these items. I am myself and a bit of a sucker for anything that is Jiji themed from Ghibli, but I resisted getting anything this time. read more

If you're in search of a cute and unique merchandise, look no further than this little shop! This place is the best for anyone who loves cute and one of a kind merchandise, and supporting small artists. There's a good amount of artists they have on display, and I'm happy I'm able to support small businesses. I'm so happy that I was able to buy things and have them immediately as opposed to ordering and waiting for delivery. They had a decently large amount of merchandise from some of my favorite artists, Pikarar and Bandage Brigade. I can't tell you how excited I was about all my purchases! I bought a variety of things from a sweater, to a Monster Hunter pin, to a Final Fantasy hair clip, to a Pokemon lens cloth, and the list goes on. Whether you're looking for art, trinkets, or one of a kind accessories, this shop has something for almost everyone. The store is a little small, but trust me it is full of products. I bought about eight items and it was totally worth it as everything was priced fairly. Staff is lovely and will happily assist you with any questions or stock checks! Love this concept of an artist alley all year round! It supports small artists and gets us cool stuff! A win- win!! As of July 2025, if you purchase an item $10 or more, you get a parking validation stamp for the on site parking lot for 2 hours. Each shop has a different validation amount. You can only stack 2 store hours at a time, so I recommend parking here as it usually a bit of a cost when trying to find parking in little Tokyo. Happibara station is a consignment store so I believe the artists featured in the store get paid when thier product sells. They plan to have a decent rotation as they have open applications every handful of months, which is a good idea, so that you'll stop by to see what other items they plan on featuring. Also don't forget the stamp card, as I tend to forget- they are pretty inconsistent with that and didn't realize that they had stamp cards until my second visit back;; not sure what prize you get, but I think that's alot of fun! Hope they stay so we get a cool artist alley powered store all year round!! read more

Such a cute little shop containing so many artist merch!! It's like artist alley but inside one shop with different artist along each wall display and shelves around the shop! I came here to find HOMIE SF merch, cos I love her card skins and stickers and claw clips, but saw a bunch of other cute artist merch here as well! Ended up with a bunch of cute items and gifts! They sell everything from clothes, keychains, stickers, stationary and more! So fun to browse and love that they include artist info displayed to show which section is whose artwork to follow! read more

Super cute store in little tokyo galleria. The staff is all really nice and the stationary is to die for. This store is dangerous for my wallet. I really appreciate how they highlight the artist in stock. Its so nice seeing all the different art styles and merch. There is so much to pick from too. The items are all priced decently too. I had fun looking around and picking out items. I went on a busy day so it was a bit crowded in store but they make an effort to keep store at capacity. Lemme tell you something, this shop is the GOAT! They have lots of merch of a variety of fandoms that you may love from a lot of cool artists. I've been there 6 times and I had my first ever trip in January after hearing about it. The best part is that it's a permanent artist alley! Unlike other artist alley shops, this shop has so many merch even if it's a small-sized shop. In the picture is everything I bought from the shop since my first time going there! (I bought more merch than in the picbut I gave it to my friends as a lil' gift, hehe) Overall, it's a really great shop! As an artist myself, I appreciate Happibara Station's concept of a permanent artist alley. Happibara provides artists the opportunity to display their work in-person for a long period of time. While the selection of fan merch is limited, there is a chance they have the niche fandom you were looking for. If fan art isn't to your taste, there are also original designs like cat themes or watercolor landscapes. Everything's on the pricer side, but I'm assuming that's to ensure both artists and Happibara earn profit.
