Misty and Brock, represent. I was in the market for a Totoro desk fan, and of course they had one at a lower price than I could find on line. It's pricer now because they imported it with the new tariff. At least the nendoroid price look reasonable. They got a lot of prize figures from the latest series. Not a big fans of those but they got some brand new release again. Overall a nice shop for people looking for nendoroids.

Come check it out if you don't like knockoff merch you might encounter around LT. Prices seem to be pretty fair but I do sometimes pick up something and put it down after looking at the price.

Circumstances brought me to this unique and fun store that is practically hidden on the first floor of what appeared to be an abandoned mall in Chinatown, the Bamboo Plaza. Had I not known about this store and its location before visiting, I probably would not have entered the plaza. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by Natalie one of the store owners. I then met with Alan, her husband and co-owner. Both were super personable, friendly and knowledgeable. I overheard them conversing about some of the products with other customers in the store. They really knew their product. The store was jampacked with products from floor to ceiling. I was overwhelmed with how much there was to see. There were so many different model kits to choose from (Pokemon, Bandai, Gundam, etc.). They also had figurines, model paint, books, stickers, Gundam decals, Book Nook and Wonderland items, Pokemon Mini Building Blocks, other building blocks, DVDs and other fun items. Everything was well stocked and neatly organized. I appreciated that most of the items were displayed behind glass so that you could see the actual product vs just looking at the picture on the box. Even though I am an adult, I felt like a kid in a candy store. I did not leave empty-handed. :) If you're looking for a wonderful brick and mortar hobby shop with Asian flair, I highly recommend this shop.

I walked into a store that carries merchandise that simply does not surface at most American retailers, and that distinction was the main reason I made the trip. The selection covers a wide range. I saw rows of pins, acrylic stands, stickers, keychains, figurines, manga, and stationery filling the floor, and the depth in certain titles went well beyond what I have found at convention vendor tables or general pop culture stores. The Project Sekai section was one of the more notable dedicated areas and is genuinely rare to encounter outside of Japan. VTuber merchandise and more niche title selections appeared here in a way that reflects the store's connection to the Japanese market rather than just catering to the most mainstream Western anime fanbase. There is also a gashapon section where you can exchange cash for tokens and try your luck at the machines, which tends to draw its own crowd. Prices run higher than what I would pay in Japan directly, which is expected given the import overhead, but for collectors who cannot make the trip the markup is the cost of access. The store is worth visiting for any serious fan of the medium, and even a casual browse tends to surface something unexpected.

To see a dedicated shop here in Little Tokyo, even if only seasonally, is like a dream come true. It really is a store for the most hardcore of fans. Merchandise that you can see in person - from all the figures, toys, stuffed animals. Soundtracks on vinyl and CD. My only heartbreak is that I wish I had bought the Final Fantasy IX Vivi action doll, the last time the shop popped up. There are a lot of cool figures, but the price is truly truly premium pricing. Nosebleed, like, really take advantage of your deep emotional connection to these characters, level of pricing. Like their prices even leveled-up to test the strength and HP of your wallet. And the shop keep is immune to any kind of pricing de-buffs. I would totally buy some of the metallic King Slimes, the posable FF VII Sephiroth, and 2B. But again, it's a tall ask to splurge. There is a trend of so many of these imported goods, blind box slop shops popping up all over Little Tokyo, and I'm not talking about the Big Ones that have legitimate licensed merch, but there's a couple that have questionable authenticity as can be seen by the previous review. I don't collect lore-less blind box goods of characters that aren't tied to any IP that I have interest in (insert nerd emoji: hehe, I'm a TRUE OTAKU. None of that Hoyo stuff, jk jk), so I can't be an expert on this but even a cursory glance I can sort of tell it's not the same as what you can get from Pop Mart or SoraGumi, Neko Stop, etc. There's snacks and such too, but with the volume and quality of these shops I can't say that I'm impressed, especially the style of these stores are executed much better in the 626 (Ebisu Life/Fukuya Life). Meaning more items, cheaper prices, and stress free easy garage/plaza parking. Additionally, the area around the photobooth had dirty foot prints everywhere. No offense but things like this make me so sad. Copy pastes of these stores meaning it's taking away from unique spots Little Tokyo used to have that made it truly unique, I'm talking the visual kei and alt fashion shop, the lolita shop, and much more. They had magic spells, motorcycles, kicking a soccer ball, pretending to eat humans, and many more. If you're an anime fan, I highly recommend this place. We went after Anime Expo finished on a weekday afternoon and the line wasn't so bad. The line was actually longer for the store but the store is small and mainly manga and t-shirts. Best of all, the entire exhibit is FREE. You really can't get much better than that. If they have this next year, I'm going again!

The interactive room was really cool, and staff were really friendly. Lines were surprisingly not that long for a Friday during lunch time, but there was still a lot of people. The merchandise, in my opinion, could've been more varied. Prices were very affordable. A few items were already sold out too, but lacked in options/diversity. I completely understand the limited amount fue to the pop up nature, but just a little bit more would've been nice. As for the printed displays/artwork. It was really cool seeing them and reading the information. I felt like how they printed some artwork (like Witch Hat Atelier) could've been better. It's printed on canvas, and unfortunately I felt like the texture of the canvas interfered with the delicate line work of the art style.
