I came in today with my bestie because we saw this spot on IG and wanted to give it a try. We were starving so we knew we wanted to have a meal before trying desserts. The issue was how small this location is and seating was def limited. There was a big group that came in and took all the seats/tablets near the window but not all the sweats were filled. We waited until someone was leaving and tom the seats, it took about 10 minutes. Then we took turns ordering our food, my bestie had a burger with fries and i had a fish with mash and veggies. Both were great, i just wish the mash had more flavor but the fish was amazing. I ordered 2 tres leches cups- reg and strawberry and def preferred the reg. The strawberry is good just sweeter. I also got the beso de angel slice. We tried everything before we left but i saved mine for to eat at home. I was glad they had a restroom, it was pretty inside and clean. This place def gets crowded and the store is pretty small. Seating for Maybe 12-15 people at a time? The staff was nice and kind. I would come back

I came here on a Friday night and I came with low expectations because I don't trust other people's reviews. So first and foremost this place was great and I would definitely come back. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I had a lot of questions and they answered all of them. Also the place is small so I would recommend you come early to get a seat. I ordered the angel cake which was good and I want to try other items. This is a great place to come with a friend and chat over dessert. I liked their decorations they had very positive things on the wall.

Wanted love this place so badly but it disappointed me, despite being a heavy sugar fanatic. I think its aesthetic and overall product variety is great in the neighborhood, but scarcity shouldn't substitute quality. Very watery and warm milkshake. The hot side foods (chicken tenders, cassava balls, etc) are very dry as well. They desperately needed a dipping sauce. In retrospect, I should've asked or at least been given some. The cupcake is a dense pound cake-base as well. Not horrible but definitely not what I'm use to. Also, you really gotta be aggressive in there. If you're not adamant on being served, the line does not matter or serve any function.

First visit here because of all the hype on social media. This isn't a driver friendly area! It's difficult to find parking here, lots of double parked cars and this bakery was packed on a Sunday afternoon. There was a line with about a 10 minute wait and the small tables were full. It's a small space, just elbow room. I opted for getting takeout rather than waiting for a seat to open. The displays here are beautiful. The presentation of their desserts are lovely. The servers are Spanish speaking but I was able to manage. I got 4 desserts to go, each provided in a separate plastic container instead of a dessert box, which I would've preferred. I tried the mango mousse dessert and as pretty as it looks, it didn't impress. The shell is white chocolate, which I liked, and the center has mango puree. It's not too sweet but it didn't meet my expectation. The mousse wasn't light and fluffy instead it had a jello like quality. I also had a chocoflan, which is also presented beautifully but the caramel rosette on top was too thick and I couldn't taste any chocolate. The other dessert was a passion fruit filled chocolate mousse and a banana tart. I didn't care for the passion fruit at all, again the chocolate wasn't too my liking and the texture is dense not light. The banana tart was more of the that dense whipped cream and caramel then banana and the cookie tart itself was tasteless. The whipped caramel and whipped cream topping here is meant to hold it's shape for the presentation of the desserts so its thick and dense, making it's texture and taste artificial. The bill for 4 desserts was $35+ a bit pricey for the Bronx. Overall, I appreciate that this is a family owned business, a minority owned and run bakery. It has a pretty esthetic and the desserts I tried were okay. If I were to go back I'd want to try their savory items instead. Happy Yelping!

So happy we stopped by this viral location after learning about it on Instagram. The line outside moved really quickly and was worth the wait! The desserts we tried were all delicious. My favorite was the flancocho - half Dominican cake with a layer of flan in the middle. We hope to go earlier next time to try some of their sold out best sellers like the guava tres leches! Heads up, parking is pretty impossible in this area.

Gorgeous Dominican desserts! Cute little shop & customer service was there, right in the Bronx ! Mango mousse cake was my absolute favorite I have to go try the other fruit cakes now. The carrot cake was ok I've had better and that tres leche flan was soo good !! Cant wait to try their savory food next time.

I had an amazing time here even thought the space is very small and if you are by the register you will not eat in peace they do the best with what they have for sure. The are very nice and friendly. the selections are to die for. I love their deserts not to mention their food. They have indoor seating and they even have a bathroom. Food is also very fresh and hot when it comes out. The decor is outstanding and all very picture friendly for a small location. They even do custom orders.

Yaniqueque made with ropa vieja. This was FANTASTIC

The food and pastries were fantastic! My only complaint is that they used suspiro (a Dominican "frosting") in one of the pastries that really called for whipped cream or MAYBE marshmallow fluff, but suspiro does not belong on a pastry.... Everything else was better than my family and I were expecting! Very small place with a few tables and a long line. But worth the wait!

I've seen this bakery all over my social media & as soon as I saw that it was near my neighborhood, I knew I had to make time to try it! I came in slightly closer to the bakery's closing time & was able to get their Tres Leches cups & their Beso de Angel cake slice (a flan-cocho basically). The checkout process wasn't as quick because of the language barrier, but the employees were very kind. Their Tres Leche had good flavor, but there a lot more frosting than cake in the cup & the Beso de Angel cake also had good flavor. The inside of the store was very pink, cute, & aesthetically pleasing. Will definitely return to try other items on their menu.

We are beyond grateful to Karina with The Cake for bringing our wedding vision to life. From the very first consultation, she was warm, attentive, and so creative. The cake was not only breathtaking in design--each tier was a perfect masterpiece--but it also tasted incredible. Every guest raved about it, and it was such a sweet centerpiece to our celebration. If you're looking for a baker who will go above and beyond, Karina is the one. Thank you, Karina, for making our day so special!

If you go anywhere in New York, please go here. Servers are kind. The desserts are to die for. The pistachio butter oozes out of the croissant when you cut into it and it is deliciously paired with a blackberry sauce. The fruit mousses are so delicious. And the tres golpes was good. The place is very small and it's all pink. Very cutesty. Apparently they have a larger location too!

One of the top Italian bakeries in NY and an absolute must stop when visiting Arthur Ave. You walk…read morein and you feel like you just stepped back in time to your childhood when more of these Italian American bakeries existed. Bread, cookies, and pastries are all showcased and it smells great. If you go during the afternoon during the week it won't be as crowded as it can get on the weekend. Everything here is terrific. Whenever I'm in the area I'll bring home a pound of assorted Italian cookies, I'll also grab rainbow cookies and cannolis. Their cannolis are terrific, some of the best in NY. Yes, NY, not just NYC. I think what makes their cannoli stand out amongst some of the best is their shell. It's always fresh and crispy. Their filling is a little more vanilla forward compared to other NY institutions version of the cannoli, so keep that in mind when trying one. I'll put it to you this way, if you like Italian pastries, especially cannolis make this place a destination to visit, give them a try and see how it ranks up compared to your favorites. And while you're there, take in the rest of Arthur Ave! Oh, I almost forgot. They have what my husband says are the best savoiardi cookies in the state. They're always fresh, soft, slightly chewy in the middle with a delicately crispy exterior. They're to die for with a hot cup of coffee.

This is a well known bakery right in the heart of the South Bronx! (BX Stand Up!) I've brought the…read moresame cake from this place years ago. The customer service, the cake, & the taste was all the same as what it was before. AMAZING! I got the fresh strawberry shortcake with crackers all around for a friend's birthday. I was able to get the bakery to write on the cake and buy candles for the cake as well. They boxed it up for me nicely and safely so the cake wouldn't mess up. When I brought the cake to the party it was the main attraction at the end of the night. The cake was sliced and served. Once the guest had that first bite they were taken aback at how BOMB the cake was! They said it was the perfect kind of sweet. Not overly sweet like other cakes and how it tasted so fresh and delicious. Awww man I need you to experience it for yourself! This cake in particular has me in a chokehold! Their other pastries also look equally amazing on display. COME TO ARTUSO!

As soon as you step inside, you're taken by how large and how clean Artuso is. It is very well lit, and all of these things make it very easy for you to focus on those glass cases full of sweets. Their selection is extremely large and contains all that you would expect (biscotti, rainbow cookies, b&w's, pignolis, etc) as well as Italian ice and various other treats. The line moved fast, and the workers were extremely helpful as we ordered our rainbow cookies and pignoli cookies with cannoli cream. The pignoli were great...they had that signature almond taste, just right. Very enjoyable. And the cannoli cream center was a nice touch, and very good as well. The rainbow cookies were ok. Admittedly, I have a very high bar for rainbows, so I hold them to a high standard...and they were good, just not as flavorful/almondy as I particularly prefer. In all, Artuso is a great stop. A perfect post lunch/dinner spot to grab a quick snack to cap off a meal. Definitely check it out.
