This is a fun place to search for records, tapes, cds, and pot paraphernalia. The owners were very nice.

This place was very cool. I've always wanted to stop by but they close at 5:30 p.m. and I'm usually…read morefurther into town at that point. However we parked at the mall across the street on this trip and this was right across the street. My husband really wants a grandfather clock and he was very excited to check out the selection. Prices seemed kind of high to me but to be fair I don't know anything about grandfather clocks, lol. They also have a nice selection of Frankenmuth magnets, they ranged from like $4 to $10. I ended up buying one of the $4 ones. The reason I'm bumping up this review to five stars is because I lost my Fitbit there (Fitbit Zip, an old one that sits on my waist, not my watch) and when my husband and I got to Kern's and realized it, we rushed back to the store to check there first (it was 530pm). The (owner? Employee?) welcomed us back, and another customer immediately pointed to it on the floor. Saved us a lot of hassle and had they closed immediately at 530pm, the doors may have been locked. Looking forward to checking this store out again the next time we are in town.

Always a great conversation and an education in time pieces. The group in the back can repair or restore most anything. We've had two intricate grandfathers restored and they do incredible work. One took six months and the other seven. The wait was well worth it. Back to the store. They have clocks of all sizes and price ranges. On our initial visit to the store we spent over an hour, like it were a museum. This isn't the dime store, so know that you'll be paying a hefty price for most any clock here. Again, it's an investment that justifies the price. This is also your place for authentic German Christmas pyramids. We bought the pyramid with Seiffen church for under $100. A neat little wooden pyramid with a German church, carolers and a Christmas tree. When the tea lights are lit, the rising heat causes the blades to turn. I recommend that on your first visit you take in everything. If something grabs you, you grab it back. Otherwise, bring your funds on all future trips! 05/22

I don't always drink tea, but when I do, you bet it's only loose leaf! I wish I'd known about this…read moreplace sooner because it's not only close to home, but absolutely fabulous. I found them a few weeks ago when I did a search of stores who actually sell loose leaf tea. The reason I like loose leaf tea versus the garbage sold in the stores is because it comes out way more flavorful, stronger and seems to taste a lot better than the stuff they sell at the grocery. I am also shocked that nobody else has been here before, as I know a few tea drinker who also happen to be active yelpers. Interesting. Anyway, the place is easy to find and right off fourth street and visible from the road. There is street parking, but a parking garage is literally right there on the other side of the street if you need it. As you know, downtown Rochester can get busy at times, so easy places to park is important. Walking in, not only is this place a tea store, but it also sells spices. They also have a ton of cool accessories to choose from throughout, which was really super cool to look at. I've also been on the hunt for the individual honey sticks that seem to be hard to find. Not only do they have the honey sticks, but they came in a variety of flavors? Like flavored honey? Exciting! I just grabbed a packet of regular honey sticks which are sitting in my kitchen now. The spice area has a much larger selection of items, from different varieties of salt, but other seasonings as well. I didn't really study the selection as the place was busy but let me tell you, there's a lot! I went to the tea section and they have all sorts of teas to choose from. I wanted something more citrus/lemon/herbal since I have a sinus infection, but I also wanted to see what else they have. Great selection, pre bagged but make sure you have the steeper's at home. If not, they sell them here too. Service was great, and the staff was knowledgeable. Nobody asked me if I needed help or followed me around the store, but when I did talk to them at check out, these people really seem to be tea oriented and educated on the product. While they aren't cheap by any stretch of the imagination (more along the lines of Starbucks pricing) they are worth every penny. I will be back in the future and I wish they did a better job of advertising!

I used to go to the Dundee location and learned it closed during Covid. But I have to say, Miriah and TJ, the owners of Swan Creek Candle Perry were very welcoming and friendly. Their wax stock was impressive and cheaper than when I shopped at the Dundee location. They have a points system which I signed up for and will keep connected on their Facebook page: Swan Creek Candle Perry. I will be back for more stock in a few months and happy that I still have a good source to go to where I can smell the new scents in person . I was even impressed with their free shipping for orders over a certain amount in the event I need something right away. Thanks Mariah and TJ for your help today; your store is delightful and reminiscent of Dundee.

We WERE a…read morelongstanding wholesale customer with swan creek, bought in excess, and didn't purchase for a few years while we went through our stock. Debbie Duke informed us that they run on territory and because ONE other store in town, holds their candles, we are no longer allowed to purchase wholesale? The other store in question started buying AFTER we already held an account for multiple years (or held territory, in debbies words) So we held the territory, according to Debbie and then they backdoored us with selling to a different business within said territory. After asking for clarification on said policy, she said that we had two years after our last purchase date before we are classified as a new wholesale business. After the two years the territory is no longer allocated to us. We never recieved notification that if we didn't purchase by a certain date we would loose access to buying wholesale. So not only did they blindside us by not notifying our business of the potential loss in wholesale status/territory, they did it quietly, set up another account in the same town, our territory, and then when we went to order more we were struck with "we have a better customer already in your town" WHAT!? It appears they just stick with whatever company purchases more and screws the other small busineses which to that is contradicting especially if they claim to hold territory and respect to the other businesses sales. They didn't do it for us. They didn't hold territory for us, nor were we notified of the impending loss of wholesale status PRIOR to THEM taking on another store within our territory. Extremely disappointed. I won't even get into the WHOLE attitude from the front desk receptionist and Debbie herself. While I can understand the sass and attitude from minimum effort workers, I am blessed with backgrounds in law, customer service and psychology to understand that people just have weird days. Hopefully Debbie gives me a call back, with a better attitude and her listening ears working. She "didn't have time to look into the account" nor listen when I called because she wanted to go have lunch...maybe she was hangry

The selection and quality and the uniqueness of the pieces/stones, is stand out. IF YOU ARE BRAND NEW to this sort of thing , then I would advise you to stop into this place when you have 1 Hour -That way you can hand pick from an assorted variety of beautiful tumble gemstones.. And WHAT YOU WANT TO DO IS: keep in a small pouch in your pocket, or purse, respectively. Where each particular Stone has certain "powers" - they each have a unique, positive, healing Vibration... So for instance, if you're depressed and want more confidence, or you're trying to manifest and attract love into your life. Clarity of mind. Grounding for meditation. Less worrying and anxiety. ATTRACTING MONEY as well as LUCK -And these are all for just a couple of bucks! AND even if they did absolutely nothing, they're just simply freaking beautiful! And look, I'm a dude and I carry these with me in my pocket, and show them off whenever I can. EVERYONE LOVES THEM. And its a GREAT CONVERSATION STARTER/PIECE. Needless to day, It's one of the best things I ever did for myself. And served as a starting point for my spiritual journey here on this Earth. Other products include: From candles to oils to books to feng shui, etc, Etc etc, and they even have appointments for Reiki Healing as well as a Tarot Card Reader. I do hope it finds you well and makes your life that much better. As just walking into the store alone you can feel your energy shift and become at peace and be cleansed. A lightweight magical feeling, if you will... So what are you waiting for? Go discover this hidden little gem! ** PERSONALLY, I'M putting aside some money to buy a large hunk of Amethyst -The purple sparkly one that's used for relaxation (amongst other properties) -I'm an Aquarius, born in the month of February, which is the official birthstone! I even sleep with a small stone ("Tumbled"/Rounded) underneath my pillow each night, to help promote blissful, restful sleep, including positive dreams even! Hey, every little bit helps right?

I can feel less stress trying to locate these particular crystals. Looking for all of these particular crystals for body balance at the advice of some friends and an acupuncturist. I was looking for rose quartz, moonstone, carnelian, hematite, aragonite and the tiger's eye. How wonderful to be able to find them all in one store. I was searching for them on Amazon, but I couldn't tell their size or the texture. Crystals are a new enigma for me. I can't wait to learn more about them. I only recalled crystal necklaces being popular with some kids during school and the Himalayan salt crystals at massage places of the last 5-10 years or so. And the beautiful amethyst, since that was my aunt's favorite gem stone. It's well titled. They have a big variety of crystals, incense and more. Patti is super friendly, informative and patient too. They sell some larger crystals, but the prices climb up quickly.
