Happy to have this as my neighborhood store. Good food, good people, good selection of snacks and booze!

The rudest and most unprofessional Customer Service I have ever experienced in my 60+ years. I was…read moretrying to drop off a return for Fedex, a service Walgreens is paid for by Fedex. There were two registers at the front of the store. One had a line, the other did not; the one with the line had a Fedex sign behind it. I pardoned myself to ask if it was the correct line for the drop off. The woman said either register could help me and to place the box on the counter at the other register.; the attendant at the other register was about 5 feet away and hear d the interaction. I did as I was instructed. The woman at the second counter was tidying and dilly-dallying, totally ignoring me. When I finally commented she rudely asked if I were speaking to her and said, "if you want help from be you gotta ask for it; you can't be standing there thinking I will help you if you don't ask me." I said your coworker just asked me to come to this register. She repeated her rude little you gotta ask tirade and continued to do other things, at which point I walked out. Abominable, and not the first time I hae been treated rudely at this store. I will drive 15 miles out of my way to avoid that store.

I have signed up for monthly automatic refills numerous times, and it never works. I have to call to refill, and lately the refills cannot be made in time, so I run out of medication. The automated system is garbage, and when I opt to attempt to speak with a pharmacist, I am put on hold for a half an hour or more, and hang up. No one has ever answered the phone. Nothing against the people who work there, but it's a really bad store in terms of functionality. The rest of the store is a typical Walgreens.

Seemingly Racist Establishment that will target people of color …read more.... During the first week of January, my lifelong friend visited Plush Appeal to purchase Mardi Gras decor for her out of state home. We are natives of New Orleans and were raised with the proper etiquette and respect for ourselves, others and community. We are proud graduates of an affluent Catholic high school and our class of women has made quite a positive impact in this world collectively. With that said, as my friend was shopping she interacted with one of the sales associates and had a lovely conversation. This particular sales associate then left the area. Within minutes two other sales associates approached my friend, accused her of stealing, and when my friend attempted to clear her name and prove her innocence, these women refused. They stated she was on camera and despite my friend asking multiple times for proof and to view the cameras, she was again refused her request. Apparently, two large men were then instructed to escort her out to which she stated she felt extremely uncomfortable. Several of her friends have reached out to the store. Ms. Vee was so nice! CeeCee though ... the manager... when I called to ask for clarification she became nasty and hung up. Long story short, nothing was stolen. If that were the case why not call the police or show the video? Most importantly to note are the differences in skin tones. My friend is an upper class African American female who was seemingly targeted for the color of her skin. Take your business elsewhere!

We love this market, there are at least half a dozen Rouses markets within New Orleans. This one…read morewas in the French Quarter. There's also one in Midtown, Freret Street, and the warehouse District and I believe additional markets within the city. They have a great array of grocery items, grab and go items for lunch, meals, side, dishes, fruits, vegetables, a variety of wines nothing to upscale though, beer selection for your stays in New Orleans, and grocery items such as snacks, meals, and whatever your grocery needs are. The staff is very helpful, I couldn't find any stone ground grits. They only had instant Quaker grits - yucky!!!!. Other than that that was my only complaint, the staff guy agreed with me!

I'm a HARDCORE Juantonio's fan out west but the minute I had Hola Nola during my first trip...I knew I had East Coast Corn Chips I loved. I love the Cajun flavored chips. And Rouses was walking distance from my hotel, on the way home from a stop for a NOLA Sazerac. So I grabbed me two bags... should last a week. And some hummus and other snacks. Man was I glad I did. Barely spent anything versus paying double for half of what I got at Rouses in the hotel "market." Shop local. Support the community where you're visiting. Isn't that the point of going to a city? To take it in and support it instead of just supporting big chains?! The cashier was super sweet and friendly and we chatted about cats and dogs lol Prices. Good. Location. Good. Rouses. Good.
