So we have been trying to get to this place for a couple days but our schedule didn't allow us to make it when they were open. So, of course this morning I said I wanted to go here today. Like---it was a PRIORITY! LOL! Well, after dinner we walked a couple doors down to this place and when I walked in it took me in a time warp back to the late 1900s! It had everything "retro" from pinball machines that actually work, to legos and etch-a-sketches. It was a really cool vibe and it appears that all the machines work. The funniest part was The Price is Right was on the vintage tv and my fiancee said, "Bob Barker with hair". I said..."Bob Barker?? The old guy from Happy Gilmore??" Apparently he hosted TPIR before Drew Carey. It was cool to see the prizes from back in the 1900s and the price for them all. Definitely a lot cheaper back then. Now for the food! There is a shelf where you can order different flavors, a 6 pack with two flavors was perfect for us! We got the dirt n worms and raspberry lemon. They were making them in the back and while we waited Alyssa played pinball. There was a lady working the register and she was so friendly (I assume she's the owner because her son's paintings were on the wall). She even offered us 6 cinnamon/sugar donuts on the house as we waited. It only took about 5 minutes and our dessert was ready to eat. We sat at the counter and I took a fork and stuck it in the raspberry lemon mini-donut--it had NO chance! It was gone faster than my dog runs to a cheese wrapper! Then I tried the dirt and worms and that was it! I was hooked! I polished off the last dirt n worms and Alyssa had the last raspberry lemon one. Thank goodness these were mini donuts or I would be in serious sugar shock! The raspberry lemon was sweet but more of a fruity flavor. The dirt n worms had Oreo's and of course a gummy worm on top. These were all on cake donuts and were well worth the wait! I wouldn't get more than a 6 pack unless you have friends, are 7 feet tall or plan on being sick afterward from all the sugar though. These are great after a meal and I know we will be back soon! They also gave us a couple of stickers for free too, because who doesn't love stickers?!

This place is awesome! We did not even expect to wind up there, but we were really early in the morning and we had just gotten done with our twin toddlers' swim class at the Bayview high school. We are trying to figure out what else we might want to do, and because it was so early in the morning, there are only a handful of places that are open and this was one of them! We got there JUST as they were unlocking and turning their "OPEN" sign on. When you walk in you're like "WOW" the retro and colorful vibe is SO cool and was super appealing to not just my toddlers, but to my gaming husband and my retro 80s funky spirit! We decided to get one of their giant mongo packs which is a mix of classic and the signature loaded donuts! We got Bart's birthday cake, nutter butter, chocolate peanut butter cup and blueberry cheesecake! The classics of sugar and cinnamon and sugar were light, fluffy and just the right amount of sweet with the fresh mini donut. My husband loved the Bart's birthday cake and I loved the decadent chocolate peanut butter cup. The owner was so nice and explained it would take just a little bit and they'll be coming out hot and fresh. She invited us to look around and play some games! They have a coin machine and retro classic arcade games and little toy games for children. There is something for everyone here to play and to eat and drink. We didn't try their coffee options, but will grab a cold brew the next time we are there. I would definitely consider using them for a catering of a birthday or event the mini donuts would be such a great idea for a big birthday or party!

Cute little retro ambiance. We came by for dessert after Hungry Sumo. They have speciality toppings for the donuts but we opted for the cinnamon sugar. They came out piping hot and delicious! I probably should have opted for the 24 because we ate them right up! Next time we'll bring cash to play the machines in the arcade.

If you aren't happy the second you enter the door then walk yourself right back out. The decor is pure nostalgia and I could have happily spent an hour there just playing games and reliving my childhood without ever ordering any food. Their simple donuts are dangerous and i could eat an entire tub of them so it's good they aren't all you can eat. Their gourmet mini donuts are absolutely insane and tasted delicious. But they are SO SUGARY which you should be able to guess that based off what they look like. And you know what? Sometimes that's just what you want and it's perfect. Great stop for a tiny afternoon or late night snack and totally reasonably priced for what you get!

First time trying happy dough lucky and man it was a blast from the past! They have a ton of arcade games which are fun to play while waiting. It's order at the counter and the staff are very friendly! Definitely more of a grab and go vibe but they have tables to sit at. While the donuts were good, they were very pricey for what you get. I would recommend to try as it is a very fun atmosphere and yummy donut but they are just slightly overpriced.

More than a donut shop - they also offer a ton of arcade games to play (mostly pinball). They offer mini donuts in a variety of flavors including the classics of powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar. They also have a ton of options on the sweet and fruity to the sweet and chocolatey side. In addition to donuts, they have coffee and smoothies that you can order. The decor throughout the space is very eclectic and you'll find yourself noticing more little trinkets the longer you stay.

They moved to this location from the Mequon Public Market in December. There is a lot more space, which allows more creativity, more decor, space for an arcade, and room to add food options. Soon they will serve pizza and chicken sandwiches, for example. The vibe is great, very colorful and family-friendly! I went with friends today, my favorites were the Monkey Business with peanut butter sauce and slices of fresh banana and the Raspberry Cheesecake! The Fluffy Charms was also great! There are pinball machines, a few classic arcade games, and "claw" machines, plus lots of little toys and action figures and candy for sale. Highly recommend this place!

It was opening weekend - I believe the friendly worker said it was a soft opening - and we were there right before close so it was quiet. The worker explained tons of options to us and, while the 'fun' donuts were interesting (lots of flavor combos on top of a mini donut), we went with the plain, more traditional options (plain, cinnamon sugar, and maybe powder sugared?)--and they were SO GOOD. "Less is more" is generally my approach and I did not regret choosing them! I have to admit I often believe everything is too expensive lately--and that's why I gave 4 stars: I thought it was a smidge expensive. However, anyone who serves six mini doughnuts would likely have the same prices. You'll have to decide for yourself :) The decor was cool: generally a mix of legos, the simpsons, and arcade games (like six pinball machines!). The arcade games were legit and they have lots of quarters in exchange for cash.

It was 13 degrees and my gut was starting to ice over. Walking down Kinnickinnic, I felt neon light filter through my January-stiffened beard. A promise of heat. "DONUTS & COFFEE" said the neon sign. "Yes & yes" I said. There was also a neon sign of a flying saucer abducting a donut. Hell yeah. I entered. The vibe warmed me well before the coffee and made-to-order mini donuts. Emily, working the register for her brother-owner Andrew, regaled me and had guests chuckling with her friendly, whimsical personality, fitting the all-fun-and-no-shame childlike atmosphere. Solid pinball selection and other arcade games, plus yacht rock/dad rock soundtrack helped kill a couple hours happily and out of the elements before a show. Coming from Chicago, I was immediately reminded of Big Kids in Logan Square. Different fare, same sense of laid-back nostalgia. Donuts were bomb, too. Def get a bag of the regular ones with or without cinnamon and then some of the specialty ones topped with candy, cereal, cremes and so on. A highlight of my MKE visit for sure.

The lemon raspberry donuts and puppy chow donuts!! So. Much. Yum.

However, even thought I went at around 8am, my donut tasted stale and unusually crunchy. The chocolate icing did not taste like chocolate at all, kind of more like maple. I was excited to try the cream filling, but that also fell short. It was way too sugary that it was grainy, and it the texture was so thick it was almost like a custard. I don't know if I just ordered the wrong donut and that's why I had a bad experience, but I don't think I will be going back and trying anything else at Donut Monster.

So good! It's not cheap, but everything was delicious and the friendly staff are extremely helpful and kind.

The fluffy & slightly chewy and doughy texture gives me a weird satisfying feeling. However, I just feel the flavors are a bit off - it's like there's just a layer of sweet glaze on the outside. The blue/green glaze in the donuts in my order is also very runny and watery. And based on my experiences, the donuts must be finished like within a day (best to try immediately) - otherwise the glaze is off the donut.
