Besides my drink and bakery item, I also picked up a four-pack of cupcakes that looked excellent. They had plenty to choose from, so it was a difficult decision. They also offer some gluten-free items, and I chose a Caramel Peanut Butter Cookie that was sweet and chewy. Food: They had an amazing assortment of fresh baked goods. There was a large selection of cupcakes, bars, croissants, scones, and more. I decided on a Chocolate Chip Scone with a mocha, which turned out to be an absolutely terrific combination. The mocha had a nice balance of coffee and chocolate, along with plenty of whipped cream on top. The scone had a great texture, with just the right amount of chocolate chips for sweetness. Next time, I will ask for the mocha to be a bit hotter. Service: I received a friendly greeting and a sincere smile from the barista/server. She did a great job explaining the bakery options and served my mocha in a large china mug. She checked in to see how I liked the food and drink and was exceptionally friendly the entire time. I was also offered a sample of the Black Forest Cupcake, which was delicious. Thanks, Kathy. Atmosphere: It's a large bakery operation, and you can see into the work area, which gives the impression of a high-quality operation. The café seating area is near the entrance, with lots of natural sunlight coming through the windows. I was the only customer there at the time, so it was very quiet and relaxing. Their production facility is next door, but the baked goods are sold through Rochester Deli. I also learned that the deli owner's daughter runs the bakery. I came in hoping to pick up a few cupcakes and possibly a small round cake. There was only one cupcake option available, a Boston Cream, which did look good. Unfortunately, there were no cakes available, so I struck out there. I did grab a couple of the peanut butter cookies half dipped in chocolate, which are always a hit at my house. So, I got back to Milwaukee and insisted my husband also try one of their seasonal lattes the week before Christmas. He tried to ignore and definitely rolled his eyes. And, may have muttered something like, 'seriously?! psh!' Then we stopped by here. We both ordered one of their seasonal lattes (yum!) and I got a breakfast sandwich (also yum!) and my husband got some sort of egg bites. There's no feeling more absurd than clunky-ordering at a well known chain where everyone there assumes you must know the drill. Because, why wouldn't you? It's Dunkin' after all?! We did not know the drill. But, I digress. Overall, it was a fine experience and definitely good to know that Dunkin' is an option when I'm out of town or at an airport and other local options aren't available. All four of us had greens with a vinaigrette dressing that came with our sandwiches. To me the vinaigrette was just OK, however, I ate my entire salad because I really wanted the vegetables. My husband tasted his and didn't eat anymore. He thought it was gross. I would suggest they offer the vinaigrette and have another kind of dressing as an option. As someone else said, I ordered a glass of water, and was taken aback when I was given bottled water and charged for it. I routinely order ice water at most places I eat at and don't get charged. I do think the wait staff should tell you that they only have bottled water. I was admiring the baked goods and decided to get a fruit tart. As someone else said, there are no prices on the items. I was pretty shocked when she told me that will be $9.98. I was expecting five or six dollars for the size of the item. It should be noted that there was no extra charge for napkins, Wi-Fi, or bathrooms. They even have convenient electrical outlets free for use. So be sure to BYOW. (Edit: On my way out after submitting my review, they were able to provide water (anyway I would like it) at no change if I provided the container, which I did, having a water bottle on hand.) No doubt policy, and maybe systemic, but just leaves a bad after taste. Relatively clean, this time smell was ok, but been to this location before when there was a strong burnt smell in the air that persisted at least for my length of stay, 15 minutes.

A few more staff would have been helpful as the tables filled up, and by 6:15, people were waiting outside to get a table. The age group of diners is varied, and everyone seemed to be very satisfied. We ordered the Bruschetta and the Salmon with Lemon Risotto, both of them prepared very well. The food tasted very fresh, and the presentation was lovely. I also ordered the Bolognese because I love a good dish of it. This one did not disappoint. However, the meat pieces were small pea-sized bits of beef, which tasted good, but looked a bit odd. I would like to know why, but I was too busy enjoying the dish. It is my birthday and so I was offered either a free cocktail or a dessert. I love a good treat so the flourless cake was my choice.
