I consider myself a bit of a donut connoisseur. They are one of my favorite sweet treats. I really was intrigued this morning when a vendor brought in an absolutely gorgeous box of donuts. But honestly,I have had a lot of great looking donuts that aren't really anything too exciting. But when I tasted these was when I was really blown away. I get fresh from the bakery donuts regularly but these...these were the freshest softest most delicious donut I've ever had. (I finished my donut, a KitKat donut but I heard raves all over the office about all the flavors, and immediately emailed the rep to find out where they came from) I will say I'm honestly thankful that neither location is particularly close to my house or my donut consumption could really get to problematic levels. Sometimes dry or straight up tooth achingly sweet, I assumed this was all donuts could offer. NOPE! Somehow, Donut Squad bakes up heavenly perfection. Fresh, moist and with just the perfect amount of chew, these donuts are great! Plus, the sugar reaches just the right amount of sweetness, and does not leave a filmy after taste that is common with other donuts. Located on the five points in Waukesha, this Donut Squad opens at 6am everyday except Monday and is open until they sell out (sometimes within just hours). Friday nights during the summer, they re-open at 6pm with a fresh batch until sold out or 10pm. My kiddo always goes for the standard long john with vanilla icing, my wife usually goes for a filled donut like the boston cream or the fancier peanut butter and jelly. I default to the fruity pebbles donut, where somehow the cereal stays fresh and crispy. A testament to their freshness. There's even crazier flavors though. Kit Kat, Butterfinger, Caramel Delite, Toffee Heath, S'more, Nutella, Starwberry Shortcake, the list goes on. There's even a limited edition unicorn donut, horn and all! We're not big donut people, but decided to check it out this morning. So glad we did! They had a fun selection of donuts. We went with the Kit Kat, strawberry shortcake, and chocolate and sprinkles donut. They a few pretty cool options. It was a fun treat so I'm glad we stopped in. read more

Honestly REALLY good donuts! I was so impressed by these donuts! For some reason I assumed that the donuts would be all about the flashy toppings and they wouldn't be that good. I was wrong! Even the plane donuts are really good! I have been told that you have to get here early to have a good selection so logically I got here at 6am on a Sunday. Probably a little bit overboard but why not right? Wow, was it worth it! There is a pretty good selection of unique donuts. The Kit Kat and heath were real crowd pleasers! Admittedly, the ambiance in this shop leaves something to be desired but I am more than willing to look past that for the donuts! The service was very good as well. It can be confusing walking into a place like this where there are so many unique things but they made it easy to order! Give it a try! read more

Stopped in on Saturday morning for donuts around 8:30am. There were still plenty of delicious donuts left to choose from. There is seating for about 10 people. The donuts were excellent. So happy they opened a shop closer to me! This place is absolutely delicious. Besides standard donuts, the real stars of the show are the specialty donuts offered- typically candy bar inspired (kit kat, oreo, etc). New flavors are consistently rotated in and out. Strawberry shortcake is my absolute favorite as well as their caramel delight and almond joy. The s'more donut is okay though it can easily get soggy due to the toppings if not eaten right away. This place is clearly already a hit. Get here before 10 on the weekends or else you risk everything being sold out. I have called multiple times, even at 10am, and they are always sold out. I don't know if they only get to have a limited supply, but I think it's a little ridiculous that I can never order anything from here. I also believe that if they want to have a successful business, they need to have more donuts available. Great donuts and staff! My husband and I just had the best experience at Donut Squad and we can't thank them enough. Our 18month old needs to get the flu shot and we told her she could have a donut to look forward to after the shot. She loves donuts. We drove all the way to donut squad after reading reviews and, while the open sign was on, the racks were empty. Figured we would just walk in and ask bc we knew our daughter would be devastated after the hype. They were sold out, BUT the nice young man had already boxed up the remaining donuts for the last customer to walk in and he gave them to us!! It saved the day and they were delicious. I got here early Saturday morning and they only had a limited amount of flavors to choose from. The donut itself was fluffy and yummy, but the toppings on every one of our donuts was stale-- the cereal was like cardboard and even the inside of the Kit Kat was dry and old. Kind of defeats the purpose and ruins the whole donut when the selling feature is old and stale. Probably won't return. read more

I'm extremely frustrated that this store claims to be open until 3:00 pm, yet seem to close by 10:00 am or earlier, every day. I have now tried over six times to visit this place, but they're always sold out and closed. Seems like they are ill prepared and should change their hours to being open to 9 or 10 since they can't seem to make enough food to support their hours, or last longer than 3 or 4 hours. At least let people know when they should come instead of misleading them with false claims of being open for 9 hours. read more
