I've seen this place numerous times as I walked around Main Street in Old Ellicott City and I'm kicking myself in the butt for not checking this place out sooner. I was able to get a walk in appointment, however I recommend you call and schedule an appointment. The price for a 30 minute foot massage was great for the quality of service I got. The staff at Happy Feet are amazing. They focus on your feet and also massage your legs from your knees and down. If you don't like deep tissue massages, be sure to explain that and ask for a more gentle massage. It was a quick in and out leaving my feet feeling great. Happy Feet Asian Foot Therapy has two locations. This review is for Ellicott City, Main Street location. Not only is their storefront located on the cutest street, but this massage house is also bigger and more secluded than their Catonsville location. This location also has private rooms for couples which is perfect for planning ahead--more time for shopping on main street! After coming here, my plantar fasciitis no longer sounds like bubbles being popped when walking. Upon your appointment (walk ins are always welcomed), they give you water to drink and walk you up the stairs to your designated reserved room. You are then advised to keep your clothes on but remove your shoes and socks and to get situated on one of the tables where they start to soak your feet, dry your feet and then perform the famous magical ritual that Happy Feet is well known for--a mix of kneading, acupressure point triggering (they will ask multiple times for lighter or deeper movements), releasing and calming caresses. You can ask for the music to be turned down if needed but not louder. They also have blankets for you if you get cold (I wish they had weighted blankets but you can bring your own in). In addition to foot reflexology, they also have hot stones and acupressure point massages for head and back. read more

I've been in need of a good massage for a couple of months. After seeing all the wonderful reviews for, specifically, this location I was excited to try it out. I went on a Monday and found parking directly in front of the door - definite bonus. Also, I was the only customer so I was helped right away - another bonus. My masseuse was kind but we couldn't quite find the right balance of pressure throughout the 90 min reflexology and massage session. Honestly, it felt more like a hard rub and head scratching session instead of a massage. So much so, 2.5 days later I'm still painfully sore. I've had massages before and have never been in pain this long. I should not have expected more given the low prices. It was closer to 75 minutes but I didn't complain about it being shortened since I was ready to go. The reflexology wasn't bad and maybe that's what I should've gotten or maybe this just isn't for me. read more

I wasn't sure if they only did foot massage, but they re-arranged the chair and stool into a bed and said "no problem". It was a clothes on style, but Andy managed to work out the knots. I went there to try reflexology to relieve my plantar fasciitis and aching Achilles. I wasn't convinced reflexology would assist my discomfort; therefore, I wasn't sure what to expect. When I arrive, I am immediately shown to a room, and before I know it, my masseuse is cleaning my feet. My back massage was terrific, and it was a wonderful feeling. Eric discovered every knot in my back. The cost is astounding! I wouldn't tip him 30%, but he merited it. Although I was sore that night, my husband said I slept like a baby. Went here on a whim today after suffering from migraines and neck and back pressure/pain for the past week and all I can say is wow! I chose the 75 minute foot/body combo massage for $68 (credit card price). I had Mike as my masseuse and he did fantastic. His English was a little choppy, but that didn't stop him from giving a great massage. He gave me a water bottle upon arrival and even had my feet soak in warm water before starting. This was a much better massage than I have received previously at Massage Envy and even About Faces. He clearly had lots of experience and knew how to move/pop/crack things that I didn't even know existed ha. I'm sore tonight, but as to be expected after a good deep tissue massage. I've been here twice and it's so relaxing! They take appointments, but sometimes haven't taken our name,which is a little funny. As someone with young kids who doesn't always have the time to schedule an expensive hour long massage, it's great to have something close by/easy to schedule that we can go to when in town. My spouse and I have shared a room, which can be nice for a little chatting. It starts off with your feet in a bucket of warm water, then they work on your feet, legs. After that, they massage your back and a little bit on the arms. I felt the pressure used was very good both times I went. Obviously , if you're looking for a more of dark setting, being able to take your clothes off, no noise from the street, you might want to do a more traditional massage. However, I think the prices are decent and I like that they offer 30 and 45 minute appointments. read more
