My husband and I Door dashed dinner from this restaurant during our recent visit to Aptos. We ordered chicken chow mein which was decent. The noodles were thick and well coated with sauces. We also got the mixed sea food kung pao. It wasn't as spicy nor tasted similar to a typical kung pao but it was alright. They did not skimp on the meats. Overall an ok meal. Could be better but thankfully they were open on the Christmas Eve dinner time when everyone else was closed. Thank you for feeding us. :) read more

Poor-average quality American Chinese. I'm not going back as my last walk-in take-out order of chicken chow mein was a disaster. First, it literally took them 2 minutes (as in 120 seconds) to produce it for me--was it pre-made?! How do you make chow mein in under 2 minutes?! The clincher was that this $14 chow mein was composed of noodles, more noodles and a decent amount of rubbery chicken; but with the exception of a few lone shards (as in like FOUR) of wilted, overcooked cabbage, there were NO VEGETABLES! Zilch... There was very little flavor either, till I added some soy sauce. Lastly, as others have also noted--the help has much to be desired. Cold and robotic at best. read more

It was almost $20 for a large hot and sour soup and egg rolls which I didn't want and then when I asked her to take the eggrolls off it only 9.95 That did not include the $.25 charge for the paper bag I did not ask for! The food sucks. When it was owned by the the original owner the food and service was greats. Today I ordered sweet and sour pork and got some red balls of I don't know what and tasted nothing like sweet or sour it was supper dry & soggy with no flavor. The honey pecan was too loaded with whatever white cream they put on it and it smelled horrible. Been coming here for years and it's delicious. The place is clean staff is friendly and attentive. The food was delicious aside from the egg rolls (Not a deal breaker just won't be ordering those again) that were a bit soggy on the inside. Everything else was great. I highly recommend the String Bean Chicken and Beef with Broccoli. We were a bit adventurous and ordered the Hong Kong Style Combination Chow Mein and it was good. At first we were confused on how to eat them seeing that they were crispy noodles but once we figured it out they had great taste and would order again in the future, but doesn't compre to their chow mein. read more

Customer service is by far the worst!! There was an hour til closing and waiters were just staring at me eat, making me feel very uncomfortable and rushed. Once I received the check, I included no tip and one of the waiters saw and gave me back the receipt saying "where's the tip" like?? Maybe work on your customer service FIRST. For starters, this place gets the best egg rolls award hands down. My favorite items on their menu are: Sweet and sour pork, generals chicken, pork friend rice and the Mandarain chicken. No matter what i order at this place i make sure to get a side order of eggs rolls with my meal. If you're not familiar with this place their menu can be overwhelming. Also a lot of the employees here barely speak English so keep that in mind, most of the time i will just point at what i want and they will understand. But overall the food here is WONDERFUL! large servings of excellent Chinese food.
