Really like the food and I go as often as I can. They really need to bring back the chocolate soft serve ice cream. It was so good!

Clean place, friendly staff. Good buffet selection. Shrimp and crawfish weekend, they even have frog legs on occasion, the owner is especially friendly and courteous!!! The food is not piping hot. It is more tepid, but still at a very comfortable temperature If you're gonna sit down in the restaurant and eat, normally I get takeout. California rolls at all times, a very good selection of salad material and normally they have airdrop soup at all time and two other soups and they have a pretty good dessert menu also!!! the tiramisu cake is delicious. They have a live TV screen in the dining area and many times there are people in there watching sports and various other programs if there's no sports available. read more

I kept passing by this location and finally gave in a went for a visit. I was happy that I did. The other customers were friendly, the building was clean, the selection was good, the staff was great. I would rather them have more t.v's to watch games while eating though. I noticed that a kid had spilled some ice cream and didn't know what to do. I told the to tell the staff. The staff quickly cleaned the area. I was excited with the speed. They keep the food and drinks flowing. One of the sushi roll tasted bad but once I told them, and the ice cream cones were stale, recommend putting your ice cream in a to go cup. read more

I dropped and it was tasty. They have crab and shrimp and a ton of Chinese dishes. It was pricy ($17.55) but look at the pictures. They had frog legs, several types of shrimp, real crab, etc. I did have a bit of sticker shock, but once I thought about it, I realized it was quite fair. I will return and pig out again! read more

Let me start off by saying I am not a fan of buffets. I was lured to this one because of the hot boiled Louisiana crayfish. I have to say, the crayfish were seasoned well, plenty of boiled shrimp and snow crab legs(my favs) There def was a big enough selection to accommodate a variety of people. This restaurant has great service and the price of the buffet is low especially when you can eat whatever you want. The food served was absolutely delicious and if you want a little bit of everything then this is the place to go. They sell sushi, seafood and so much more. Maybe you have to go earlier. We went at 8pm this time. Crab legs, gone. They brought one pan out. The green beans, gone. Several items were clearly not going to be replaced. So I get that if they were closing soon. They should say so. I would not be upset to be told we are closing at 9 and many items won't be available. At least it's my choice. I give Happy Garden II 4 stars, because I think it's one of the better chinese buffets. I've been to my share of chinese buffets, and many are bigger than this one. However, the quality of the food is usually really tasty for a buffet. Make sure to go during peak lunch or dinner hours, because that's when it is the freshest. They do not add to the buffet close to the ending of lunch or closing time, which can be a problem if you get there late. They offer the staples of chinese buffets, like egg rolls, General Tso's chicken, honey chicken, fried rice and boiled shrimp. No spring rolls, which is a bit odd. They also offer fresh sushi which is really good, and on the weekends boiled blue crabs or crawfish and snow crab legs, which always seem to be on the skinny, water-downed side. American offerings include stuffed crab (delicious), fried chicken wings, mac & cheese, fried corn fritters, and even mozzarella sticks. They also have a small salad bar and a fresh fruit bar, which can include watermelon and bananas with strawberry sauce. Desserts include pudding, a variety of chinese cakes, ice cream with sauces and toppings, and I have even seen pecan pie on the weekend. The staff is friendly and, for the most part, on top of things like refills. The owner is friendly and accommodating. read more

The staff are always super friendly and remember their regular customers and what they like to drink. Not a huge Chinese food fan but this buffet offers a huge variety of American food as well!! The only Chinese type food that I eat is the egg drop soup and it is always hot and fresh!!! Took the family to eat after a school function 2/27/19 at about 7:50. Alot of the food on the buffet was at least 3/4 empty. They were not putting fresh food out, and were out of some. The food itself was barely warm and the fried foods like fish and chicken was cold. The servers were vacuuming and cleaning like they were closed, not a relaxing atmosphere to eat. When we went to check out the cashier was very rude. To busy watching a video on her phone. She never asked how everything was or anything. Bad way to treat customers. Will not be back, ever. Ive gone to this establishment multiple time and every time my family and I go the food is cold and mutiple areas of food were empty and never refilled them. While we were eating our food one of the employees was vacuuming the main area before the place was closed. And when we paid before we left the cashier was watching videos on her phone read more

Have enjoyed this place many times in last 2 years. Last couple of visits did not seem the same. The quality of the food is off, also cakes on desert bar used to be moist and delicious, but now are dry. Went there today 4-11-14 at about 3:15 pm for late lunch sign posted lunch $10.95 with crayfish $3.00 more my daughter wanted crayfish, my wife and I did not. 1 min. before receiving our check they changed sign to$13.95 plus $3.oo more for crayfish. We were charged dinner price plus crayfish, so we ended up paying $18.00 more for our meal also charged $5.59 for 3 year old grand son who only had 1/2 cup eggdrop soup and small amount of macaroni and cheese. Last night we stopped at this restaurant after the parade in LaRose It was four of us which included my 85 yr old mother. When we got there the manager told my wife that it was near closing time but they could take us. Well when i went to get food i noticed the bins were almost empty and dried up. We asked if she was going to put out more food and al she did was say she could fix something special for us. I said you need to put more food out. She never did. All she did was give us a fifteen percent dis count and charged us $56 for 4 people for dried up. She needs to be investigated by the better business bureau. She does not know how to run a business and is un fair to customers. read more
