Bad customer service. They don't accommodate patrons who have had gastric sleeve surgery. I'm not able to eat full portions and have my card to allow me to order smaller portions and they refuse want the patrons to spend money on more food that will go to waste. Not going back. The food here is great! I've been for lunch a few times when I'm in Houma and this food is not messing around! They offer a 1-5 level of spiciness and even though I'm a super spice lover the level 3 is enough for me! I've gotten the Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai before and both are great and have huge portions where you can take the other half home for another meal. I also enjoy the steamed dumplings. This is by far the best pad thai I have ever had. Food was appropriately spiced and served hot to the table. The ingredients are fresh and made when ordered so don't mistake this for prepackaged/fast food/rewarmed Thai food. Fantastic service. Promptly seated and tended to appropriately. Great parking. Nice airy feel inside. Not sitting on top of other customers in a dimly lit or dark restaurant. I've been twice in 8 days even though it's a 40 minute drive and the second time I went there was no reason for me to be in that area...other than this amazing Thai food!! read more

I loved the crispy fried tofu and the lemongrass soup with shrimp. Their fried tofu sauce was a wee bit different than I'm used to but I asked for hoisin sauce and it was perfect, the fried tofu itself came with yummy cucumbers in a sweet sauce and that was a perfect accompaniment. The Lemongrass Soup is bomb, with amazing flavors all mix d together. I asked for 3 stars and that was "my bad." I guess their 3 stars is super hot. Next time I'm doing 2 stars. read more

Never have I been so impressed with the quality of food and willingness to accommodate any allergy or personal preference. Yupa (not sure of spelling), the owner, has gone out of her way to make our granddaughter feel special and comfortable. For me, she has accommodated every special request without hesitation. It's the ONLY restaurant that I can enjoy on my super-strict detox. What a blessing you are to our community. We are so very grateful for the best Thai we've ever eaten!!! This place is pretty darn good! Outside it is your standard metal building but it is spacious and comfortable inside. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating. Service and drink selection was superb. Every person we encountered genuinely acted like they were happy to be at work. I ordered drunken noodle. What arrived at my table was not Pad Ke Mow. It was more closely aligned with Pad Thai. My knowledge of Thai cuisine is not sufficient to make a statement of fact. I remember ordering Pad Ke Mow in another city and received a very similar dish. So Drunken Noodle may have regional differences. The dish i received was good. It just did not conform to the traditional Pad Ke Mow one might expect. read more

The fresh roll appetizer and the yellow curry with chicken entree were both phenomenal. The fresh roll was very fresh with extremely high quality ingredients. The yellow curry with chicken was perfectly seasoned and prepared, with cubes potatoes that are out of this world delicious. The pad see ew entree was good but a little bit oily. Portion size on the entrees for the price is somewhat small, and the steamed white rice served with the curry entree was an extremely tiny portion. Super friendly, attentive, and efficient servers and other staff. Definitely will be a regular at this restaurant and look forward to our next visit. read more

If this place had been located in New Orleans, I would have given three stars solely because there are a lot better Thai joints in the city but I am giving one extra star for their will to stay in business and offer Thai cuisine to Houma community. Song phi nong offers some basic Thai dishes, covering Pad Thai, curry, fried rice, some appetizers and wok dishes. I do not really find the taste to be very authentic Thai BUT their food tastes still really decent when I feel like something spicy; it just doesn't taste like Thai... It is really hard to find some healthy options in Houma but at least I can always find something that satisfies me over here. Portion size is... well I am going to just say COME HUNGRY! I think you can knock lunch and dinner with left over in To go box, really. Service always has been great and food comes out fast at least all the time for me. Please stay in business... After visiting multiple Thai restaurants, I can say that Song Phi Nong did not impress me. I went with a friend for lunch, and although the restaurant was busy, service was fast. Our waitress was extremely courteous to us and helped explain the different options available, including which meat and spice level you desire for each dish. My problem with Song Phi Nong was their food. It was mediocre, and I have had better Thai dishes at other restaurants in Houma. They recently changed something to their Pad Thai, and now, it has a funny taste to it. The Fried Rice is good, and they give you a very large portion of it. You could easily feed two people with one order. Their Yellow Curry was OK, but again nothing special to make this place memorable. Overall, I would say this place is OK, but nothing special to write home about. I'd rather visit other Thai restaurants in the area. read more

Every time I've been here, their entire staff are incredibly helpful and usually pretty knowledgeable about food allergies; the kitchen is great about precautions to ensure that gluten free orders stay GLUTEN FREE. It is my lease frequented Thai place in Houma but I was very happy with the outcome. The bowl of soup was a very large portion. At first taste it was a bit too tart for me but it grew on me as time went on. I love coconut milk soup! And the pad see you was exemplary. I need it twice. It was enormous! Some of the dishes are a little bland in flavor, lunch pricing isn't a thing here $$$, the Pad Thai has great flavor and good scorch to the ingredients which makes the flavors pour out more. However, they use a mix of nice medium sized delicious shrimp and then some Baby shrimp. -lose the baby shrimp, save the money and get an instant boost in taste and looks. Would come back for the pad Thai and maybe try some other dishes but 3 of 5 is for price being on the higher side for Thai restaurants and the baby shrimp. read more

First place I've dined in during my work visit to Houma. My coworkers rave about this place and it is pretty tasty- Add on excellent customer service as a bonus! We came in at dinner time around 630pm and there were plenty of seats. It's spacious inside to fit a large group. There's also a bar area off to the side of the restaurant disconnected from the dining area. Crowd favorites are crab puffs. They were really creamy and the outside was fried perfectly. Great appetizer to share! The chicken satay was also very good and tender. The fresh rolls were good but I'm used to seeing shrimp instead of imitation crab so I was a little disappointed. Still, very fresh with vegetables. As for entrees, my friends suggested pad Thai so I got it at spicy level 3. The pad Thai was pretty saucey with spice and a hint of sweet. One odd thing I noticed was that my shrimp was all different sizes...reminded me of papa bear, mama bear and baby bear. Did I visit goldilocks? Anyways this dish was ok, but I would come back to try more of the menu, especially interested in trying the curry. read more
