There's just something so magical about watching the water glow around you. We drove about 50 minutes from Orlando to Merritt Island for the tour, where we launched from the Indian River Lagoon, and it was absolutely worth it. This is one of those experiences that's really hit or miss, so keep in mind that the amount of bioluminescence you see isn't something the tour company can control. We got lucky because there was so much activity that night! We actually didn't kayak very far since the bioluminescence was so active right near the shoreline. We spent most of our time enjoying it from that area because there was no need to go much farther. Also, don't expect your phone camera to do it justice. It's incredibly hard to capture on camera, and it's so much more breathtaking in person. I highly recommend this experience to everyone, and I already can't wait to do it again!

All in all money well spent and for a great cause. Tip- you pull into a dirt driveway. Forget about bringing your sports car. You'll bottom out at the entrance. Any regular car is fine.

She took some awesome photos of us too. Any question I asked, she answered. Hannah was very informative, kind and patient with us. Her passion for horses illuminated the tour. So glad she was our leader! The horses, May, Marigold and Willow - wonderful. They were professional and well taken care of. The horses on the ranch are super healthy and didn't give anyone problems. My friend took me on the best birthday adventure at Bambi's Mini Petting Farm. It was a surprise…read moreand when we pulled up I saw goats, sheep, donkeys and highland cows. I can't think of anything that is more fun than spending an hour with two different capybara babies. Mango and Kiwi. On the way in we petted the camels. They came right up to the fence and stuck their large heads out. They were seeking attention because they very used to being petted. We were startled when one made a loud guttural braying sound. The owner explained they were letting us know they want carrots. We had about 20-25 minutes with each capybara so all together the encounter was an hour. We got a plate of raw sweet potato sticks and romaine lettuce leaves to feed each animal. They were about 4 months old and Mango the male will be about 140 pounds full grown and Kiwi was the runt of a different litter and is expected to be approximately 90 pounds when full grown which is a very small capybara. It was just my friend and me so we spent time petting and feeding them. They love water so their coat was smooth but fur like a beaver. They are in the same family as guinea pigs so they make a similar sound. They have leathery pads on the bottom of their back legs because they can kick like a kangaroo. They like being scratched under their chin and relax so much they fall over and then are disoriented about what just happened. Hilarious. Bambi's Mini Petting Farm has several different types of animal encounters including baby doll sheep and two miniature cows. They had three goats which were having kids the following weekend and you can either tour the farm or select to bottle feed the baby goats. They have plans for a holiday tour and are getting a sloth. I contacted Jessica, the owner of Escape with Horses, and we scheduled his first lesson a few months ago. Since then, he has been going to lessons regularly. He is proud of his progress and expresses how much he loves being on the beautiful horses. Jessica is extremely knowledgeable, and she demonstrates a skillful balance between setting expectations with a matter-of-fact firmness with compassion and patience. My son has also worked with the other trainers there, and they are absolutely wonderful. Everyone is encouraging, constantly teaching, and happy to celebrate each student's achievements. The stables and paddock are gorgeous and meticulously maintained. After visiting the museum I walked over to the park for some fresh air and exercise. This quaint park is open daily from 8am to Sunset. The park has paved walkways, beautiful landscaping, benches, open areas for picnic and play, and a gazebo that can be rented for weddings. In 2020, Quinn Strong Park was chosen as the site for the new Maitland Library. Voters have approved a 14 million dollar bond to construct a modern two story library. New park improvements will include a Mayan Calendar inspired sensory garden, water feature, performance space, pergola, stormwater pond, sculptures, and deck. Construction has not begun yet but stay tuned for a park that will be a must visit destination in downtown Maitland.

I saw at least a 2 inch long spider especially the bathhouse. That thing is disgusting. The showers look like the backrooms in a horror game The quality needs an update, but the bathrooms in the dining hall are amazing. Very fresh smelling stuff in the toilet. Overall, they need to get rid of some things, but it is a very great place to go to summer camp. The value is great for your experience. in fact, I'm on a trip to Gatorland right now. But but despite all of its cons, it is an amazing place. It is also a great place to make friends and have fun.
