This place seemed pretty popular when I was there. Lots of people enjoying their drinks. The people working were fast and friendly. I got an ube black tea with boba. I'm not sure what was added in there besides that, but it was thick, salty and sweet. Too sweet and heavy for me. I just wanted a refreshing boba drink. It wasn't my taste, but I can appreciate that other people would like it. I also got a matcha bubble waffle which was good. I like this location a lot. The staff is always friendly, and the store is clean. It gets busy on weekends. My toddler (and myself) love the bubble waffle (crunchy exterior and soft inside). My go-to drink is the Ube Milk Tea with Taro Balls. For something refreshing, I recommend the Fresh Lemon series, like Wintermelon Lemonade. I've ordered boba as topping a couple times. I went to Happy Lemon on an impulse and was pleasantly surprised! The service: I was the only person there at the time I went, and I got my order within two or three minutes of ordering it! The staff were helpful as well. The food: I got the F3 on the recommendation board, which is essentially some sort of strawberry jasmine bubble tea with lychee jelly. It was amazing! And the drink cup is larger than I expected, perhaps 16 ounces. The environment: All lemon themed, yellow and white! Very clean, nicely lit place. Location is fine near Big Lots. Normally a safe area, however two doors down at BECU a lady was shot at the atm, so I probably won't going to this location in the evening. I've been to this location when it first opened. I've been to several Happy Lemons in Bellevue, Redmond, tukwila before locations popped up in Kent or Covington. This particular location the gals working the counter aren't particularly friendly people. Not like bobalust in Kent where I get over the top customer service. Only reason I visit a Hapoy Lemon if for their bubble waffle. I'm normally satisfied with how the bubble waffle turns out. Crispy on the outside and soft inside. This one came out ok, and the cook was uneven. Inside is small and quaint. Enough space if you and a friend wants to hang out, only problem is not a lot of room if you bring a group to get some treats. Even though I don't get quite the service I do when I visit other boba tea places, I still give them a fair tip. I'm Not too happy with the way the bubble waffle turned out though. read more

They're still so brand new and are working out the kinks. We ordered two drinks and one of the drink was not tightly sealed and so there was some leakage going on. They were having a bogo promotion at their opening, so I had to take the opportunity to go! The shop was small but had some cute wall decors. The staff were friendly and were still in training. The Covington location is our least favorite in comparison to the Kent and Tukwila locations. The issue is getting our order correct, which boils down to quality control. Twice we've ordered lemon honey green tea and received winter melon green tea. Once we ordered grapefruit green team and received passionfruit green tea. I only ordered the Mango Smoothie, as is. But they have many options and toppings if you wish to customize your order. The few people behind me ordered and the staff was friendly and great at answering their questions and making changes to their drinks as requested. My drink was ready within 2 minutes of ordering. The bubble waffle was good but not so good that I'd come back. The stools facing the window are so light and flimsy I wouldn't be surprised if a customer injured themselves from a fall. Seemed really dangerous to sit on so I hope they invest in some sturdier furniture. The garbage receptacle was placed in an odd spot in between dining tables instead of near the entry doors. There wasn't a designated area built for garbage disposal, just a garbage can that looks like it was bought from Walmart. The unoccupied tables were dirty from bubble waffle crumbs from previous customers. Employees had no interest in wiping tables down. Not a welcoming space for dine in. You're better off taking your drink to go. Seems like this location is cutting corners and just winging it. The "Happy Lemon" brand is already established and you can't fool a customer who already knows how a successful Happy Lemon operates.
