They finally have tables and chairs! Yay! I've been here a few more times since they've opened, and I think they're a pretty solid place to come for a non-traditional boba drink. I would say they err on the sweet side, so make sure to adjust sweetness levels if you don't like sugary drinks. I wouldn't say they specialize in brewed tea here, so while traditional bubble tea may look like black milk tea with tapioca, this place showcases more "fun" drinks, though they do also have milk tea options. read more

Knocking off 2 stars for the lack of boba, the price, and health rating. Boba is not included in the bubble tea so if we're paying an extra $.75 to have it, it should at least be a reasonable amount. I've never seen such a small amount of toppings added to a bubble tea. There was more ice than there was boba. The food health rating is also at "good" right now so may be best to wait til they get their rank back up. read more

I've been visiting since they opened. During the pandemic I went 100x. I know I've been addicted to boba tea since the early 2000s living in SoCal. I've travelled all around the west coast trying to find the best OG Milk Tea with boba and pudding. My family hands down loves bobalust, the kent location specifically the most. Victor has done a great job opening so many locations, also opening cream practically Nextdoor, and also opened up a Macaron, and drinks kiosk at the Mall!!! Proud of you, and your team Victor. I haven't seen Caitlyn in such a long time, or Andy. Both of these Bobaristas totally take care of me, and know exactly what I like. Then Victoria...I'm telling you, she blesses me so! Always smiling, and making me feel like bobalust is home. They decorate the place for every holiday. Plus the place is always clean. I've brought so many friends to bobalust. I have been in yelp event , this place was awesome . Huge space and you can sit and relax while having boba. Service did took some time as they were making it fresh but server was kind enough to help me with the choosing and he suggested drink as per my taste ( I don't like much sweet ) so he made sure it was perfect sweetness . This is one of my favorite boba places for whenever I am in the area. They have a lot of unique options for when it comes to the drinks. The service here is always really good and they are always playing good music. Only complaint is that a lot of the place does not seem like it has been finished when it comes to renovating/painting and such. Also, scary note, the bathroom door does not lock, someone almost walked in on me in there! So maybe go to trader joes if you have to pee. read more

If there's one thing that everyone is going crazy for it's bubble tea. Bobalust has done things right and they now have many locations, including one that's right by everyone's favourite grocery store. I've looked in Bobalust many, many times since they've opened, but I don't go as often as I'd like since it's basically a full meal and they open "late" in terms of my shopping habits. The purple galaxy is definitely my default drink. I absolutely love taro/ube and to add some Oreo dust into that? Oh yes, that's my jam! Service is always super friendly and fast! I've been to three other locations, and have never been disappointed. The service at every location I've been to has been excellent and super friendly, and this location included. BobaLust has the the friendliest service of all the bubble shops I've been to. I've never been to any other place where every one of their chain locations consistently have great customer service. Stopped by for a look around. The place in Kent is very dark. I could see why no one seems to think it's inviting or interesting. No chairs inside. It's a grab and go kinda place. Once you get your hands on one of their drinks you'll be pleasantly surprised and impressed. Quick and fast service. The staff is friendly and aim to please. My drink was cold and refreshing. The boba was thick and chewy. It's a mouth tasting experience. If you are not about texture than this is great. The egg pudding has a slippery thick consistency. It looks very sweet but it wasn't. I've been frequenting Bobalust for past couple of months and it has quickly became my togo spot for drinks. I've tried most of their drinks at this point and I think they're all very solid. I think their milk teas are alright but you can definitely get better elsewhere. I particularly enjoy their signature teas and slushes. They're so good! The lychee lemonade really hits the spot for a nice refreshing drink. I also really enjoy the legend of momo which has little pieces of peach in the drink. The chamolly is really great, its just like a mangolada you would get at a Mexican restaurant. The prices have increased recently but I still think they're very fair and appropriate for what you're getting. I love how after taxes the price is always an even number. The store has a very modern atmosphere and just has a nice chill vibe. There's plenty of parking space outside and you could usually get a parking spot that's just right outside the store. One thing that I really love is that they're opened until 10pm! That fact alone is warrant for the 5 stars, you can get a nice drink at almost any time of the day! Finally, I really enjoy the service from the staff at this location! They would ask how your day is going and are generally nice all around. I had an incident once where I dropped my drinks on the way out of the store and was ready to pay for a new set because it was my own mistake. The staff happily remade my drinks at no additional charge! That was awesome of them and I've been a huge fan ever since. read more

BobaLust you get 5 stars for being open til 11pm on a Friday night when I really needed a boba fix. My kids loved your black sugar milk tea with star shaped honey boba. I got the green Thai milk tea with egg pudding. The hubby got the Orange creamsicle (I recommend you get it without the red sauce, it tastes like maraschino cherry juice/cough syrup) but overall a satisfying drink. Downside: I wish you could customize the sweetness. Because they pretty much have Zero sweet, 50% or 100% sweetness which is wayyy sweet for a milk tea. 75% would be perfect! read more

My husband and I recently moved to the area and were in search of a good bubble tea place nearby. Service: The service was great. The store seems to be run very well and organized. The order # system is great. All the employees were friendly. Menu: I really like that they have some unique menu items along with create-your-own option. They have traditional milk teas, regular tea, slushies, and smoothies as well as a large variety of add-ins. Drinks: I got one of the slushies (I think it was called devils fruit?) and my husband got matcha milk tea with Boba. The slushie I got was really good, not too sweet, syrupy, or artificial. I've been a huge fan of Bobalust since its conception in Tukwila, and am super excited that a new one in Kent opened up! I was already ecstatic when the one in Tacoma opened up a year ago since I live down here, but now that there's one in Kent, it's much more convenient since I currently work in Auburn and it's only a short drive away. The menu is the same as the other locations, but I love to experiment and try drinks off the secret menu! Secret menu drinks rotate on display regularly at the Tukwila location, so there's always something new to try even when you order at the Kent (or Tacoma) location. I love all their drinks so much, but my favorite drink overall is the lychee bomb and favorite drink off the secret menu is the drunken Oreo. The atmosphere and customer service is consistent throughout all three locations, which is exceptional thanks to the management! The owners really know how to train their employees to make the customers feel at ease. Definitely looking forward for a bright future for this location! read more

Good music and with a lot more spacious than the Tukwila location, this is a much needed addition to the food scene in Kent. The menu is the same as the other locations and the quality is pretty much the same, some of the bobaristas are the same from the other stores! Poor customer service. Mask mandate has been lifted for people who are vaccinated, both Jay Inslee and the CDC have stated indoor mask use by vaccinated people are no longer needed effective immediately. Walmart, Costco, McDonalds, Target...all fine. Not this place. I talked to the manager and asked him why am I required to wear a mask if the mask mandate is lifted for vaccinated people? He said...and I quote "because, we are following the mask mandate". What an idiot!! Also, they trick people into tipping. When they spin the screen around to face you, they ALWAYS ask "how is your day going today?" They don't care how your day is going!! They have zero interest to talk to you!!! When they ask you that, it's rushed and they stare at you to guilt trip you into tipping. Tipping should be because of stellar service and product, NOT MANIPULATION! Very sad. To respond to what was said: I am a business owner myself. It IS NOT normal practice to ask how your day is going. That's called trying to be personable, not customer service. Now, at some of our coffee shops, my staff does in fact ask how their day is going, or how are you today IF...they are not busy, AND in the beginning as a greeting. Never when people are trying to tip. Almost all customers know it's not a time to chit-chat will employees when it's busy and since they are getting paid to do a job. Talking holds up the line for others, and also hinders the employee from doing the job the individual is getting paid to do. To bother a customer while he's being asked to tip is very, very rude. It is a common practice in the industry to leave the customer alone. Anything else is rude and manipulative. I'm sure it works for you though, and that's why you're being called out. I want people to notice that people here are trained strategically to ask you that ONLY when the screen is spun towards you for tipping purposes. Never before or after. Which would be most common and appropriate. If you disagree, I don't know what to tell you. It's either poor management, or trying to save face. It's an undisputed fact that in the world of customer service, what these store employees do is in appropriate. I challenge you to show me another food establishment that is streamlined and well established that does exactly what you do. Just one. read more

Boba craving later in the evening and this was the option open in the area. Green tea with boba. Half sugar. That is one of my go to orders regardless of boba shop. Fairly straight forward and I'd think hard to mess up. This was one of the worst drinks I'd ever tried which is super disappointing. The tea tasted really artificial, like the kind you buy in a bottle from the grocery store. Even though I asked for half sugar, it was SO sweet. Like super syrupy sweet, and the boba, also tasted like it was cooked in syrup and the boba portion was a bit sad. Place was also quite crowded. Lots of available parking though.
