Oh my goodness! Happy Lemon is such a treat. Honestly, I had gone before and found it to be too sweet, so this time I ordered it at half of the sweetness and that made a world of difference for me! I was so happy when the cashier asked! I ordered the strawberry black tea with lychee jellies and it was SO DELICIOUS. Everything about this drink felt refreshing and fresh. If you've never been to Happy Lemon, they're famous for their "salted cheese" topping. Yeah, I was also skeptical, but it's a must try. Imagine a slightly salty, cheesecake-y foamy topping. I went with the strawberry black tea with salted cheese and mango crystals. Now, for those of you who haven't had the delight of trying salted cheese, I know what you're thinking...what the what!?!? Trust me, trust all the other reviews, trust your gut - it's FANTASTIC. Imagine a perfect little cheesecake flavored cloud on top your drink. It paired so well with the strawberry black tea, which by the way, had chunks of strawberry throughout. The mango crystals were also a great touch since they are basically tiny bits of, you guessed it, mango. The perfect iced drink for a hot day. I was also pretty pumped for a bubble waffle. I've had the traditional ones before, and since I was in a chocolate mood, I decided to try the chocolate bubble waffle. It was cooked perfectly - just enough crisp on the outside, with the perfect gooeyness on the inside. If you haven't had a waffle like this before just know it is hollow inside and doesn't have a filling (I overheard a confused customer mention this, so thought I'd add a note so you know what to expect). Definitely try out the bubble waffles. Yes, there may be a short wait, but it's worth it. 5 star rating since this was an awesome experience all around. We pay almost $10 for a large drink that only comes in one size and they barely put any boba in it. It's a significant decrease in the amount from a year ago. Solid boba place in Edgewater right by target! This Happy Lemon location just opened in late July and is just like others. I got the large Boba Milk Tea ($5.25) and overall was impressed! The Boba Milk Tea is just their Classic Milk Tea plus boba topping. Boba texture was good and the large size was generous. I got 30% sweetness and it was a tiny bit sweeter than I hoped but I'll just try 0% next time. I'm definitely coming back to try their waffle and cheese tea.
