Another Bubble Tea chain made its way to the Central Valley, right in the heart of Stockton. It opened its door recently and it highly piqued my interest. Happy Lemon is trending and is a hipster magnate. Known for its eclectic offering of teas, lemon infused drinks, slushy, smoothies and a diverse array of toppings to fully customize your drink. One of their newest additions is the Salted Cheese. A distinct creamy foam tasted of rock salt and infused cream cheese, whipped cream and milk to boost up any drink imaginable. Oreo Milk Tea with Puff Cream, although a bit watered down was my favorite! The Oreo bits gave it a nice texture and flavor to the Milk Tea. Mango Yakult Smoothie is a nice balance of sweet and tart in addition to the creaminess from the Yakult yogurt. The mango bits swimming in the creamy goodness added a nice touch! Boba Milk Tea with Puff Cream was just your average milk tea. It was tasty however, nothing special. Green Tea with Boba and Lychee was pleasant and the Salted Cheese added an interesting flavor profile. The salty and cheesy foam first hits your palate followed by the sweetness of the tea before you get to the chewy texture of the boba and Lychee. Layers upon layers of unique tastes in just one drink. Happy Lemon adds a uniqueness to our selection of Bubble Tea shops in town. read more

Love love love Happy Lemon! I live right around the corner so its so nice to have such ease in access to boba! I've been going to this location since they opened and I've never been let down. They recently started selling egg waffles and I have to say that they are by far my favorite egg waffles when comparing to other boba places. Great crispy texture and just enough sweetness. My favorite drink besides the milk tea with cheese is E2, the Yakult grapefruit. SO refreshing. Best on hot summer days but I enjoy it even on cold days like today. 5/5 for continuing to have great drinks and egg waffles, and also for an amazing location! read more

Who knew that matcha and mango would compliment another so well! There was actual mango pieces used so it was very rich and refreshing balance! Dropped by Happy Lemon with my buddy last week and had a great first experience. I had heard of this chain in SoCal, like at home in Irvine, but it wasn't that good according to my friends. I ordered the Passion Fruit Green Tea which was pretty sweet and had less of a tea taste. It tasted standard, similar to other tea shops'. My buddy got the mango matcha and enjoyed that. He wished it could have been larger though. Unfortunately some drinks here are only offered in the medium size. There is a good amount of seating inside and it's a cool spot to chill. Next time, I will look forward to finding my favorite drink by ordering the salted cheese tea and milk teas. If this place also crafts beverages consistently, I'd come here over T4 or Lollicup. I love happy lemon! Whenever I would be around one I would go and would even drive to get some. So when I found out it was coming to Stockton I was ecstatic! They're BOGO free deal for grand opening is AMAZING! Went in the morning and at night. The service was pretty fast considering it was the first day open today. I think the management did a great job at training all the workers. My go to drink is: -A2 black tea with salted cheese! If you're taking it to go you can get the cheese on the side :) I know salted cheese doesn't sound good but it is a good combination! A little late but... I am so HAPPY that Happy Lemon finally opened up in Stockton! I used to take trips to the Bay Area ALL the time just to get my fix! This location in particular is the biggest Happy Lemon I've been to. Very spacious and is also always clean! They have a good amount of tables & chairs if you wanted to just chill with your drink. The customer service is amazing! Everyone here so far has been nothing but sweet and helpful. Especially Sammy! He has answered a lot of my questions about the drinks and also gave me a few tips that I will be sharing on here (= Customer service is such a huge plus in my book. Now on to the drinks... I LOVE their Salted Cheese series. I know a lot of people become hesitant to try it once they hear the word CHEESE but honestly it's really yummy! Don't knock it till you try it! I love how Happy Lemon let's you customize your drinks. From ice level, to how sweet, or subbing your milk for Soy if you're lactose! You can even ask for extra salted Cheese in your drink or even order extra on the side! If you don't want something cold, they do have a few drinks that can be hot. I honestly haven't tried the entire menu, but the ones I've tried so far haven't disappointed me. If you're unsatisfied with your drink, you can always ask one of the bobaristas if you can change it or try something different. Here are a few of my faves: - Black Tea SC - Milk Tea SC (sub soy, 50% sweet) - Mango Yakult - Strawberry Milkshake w/ SC (25% sweet) - Hot Black Tea SC - Oreo Milk Tea w/ SC - Strawberry Yakult (they don't have this on the menu but you ask to make it) I highly recommend trying Happy Lemon. I love this place. The only my reason why I knocked a star down is was because of the service. I nicely asked them if they could redo my order because it tasted so watered down. The girl that helped me did not like it one bit. She proceeded to tell me it tasted watered down because I asked for 25% ice so they have to add water. So I asked to please make it regular then. I first tried Happy Lemon in the Bay Area (where boba is available at practically every corner) and fell in love - so when I found out that they were opening a location in the 209, I was like, "say no more, fam." I have already tried their salted cheeses (very much like salted crema), Oreo milk tea, strawberry milkshake, Yakult green tea, and their new Japanese matcha cheesecake. My favorite so far has to be between the freshly squeezed black tea with salted cheese and the Yakult tea series, which I ordered most recently. I truly believe there's a drink for everyone on the menu! I recommend reducing the sweetness if you're a first timer; I've noticed that the sugar comes on strong for a lot of first timers. Overall, gr9 flavors and not at all watered down. Aside from the drinks, the service is A1! They are more than happy to take their time with you and provide you with samples if you're indecisive like me (shout out to Jon and Michael). The owner even came out from the back and asked me and my friends personally if we were enjoying ourselves. I can easily tell he's a genuine, respectable man and a diligent worker. Lastly, the space here is so HUGE. This is the most spacious Happy Lemon location by far (I've been to a few locations if y'all couldn't tell by now). This place has the best boba drinks and customer service. Today went it right before closing to get a Strawberry Shortcake Drink with Boba. Unfortunately, they were out of boba but Kimberly was so kind to us. She offered my daughter a couple of samples for different options to add to her drink. Kimberly also told me about the Happy Lemon app. A couple of weeks ago, I was running late for a game and called to ask if they can make a drink for pick up. They didn't hesitate at all. Great place for a refreshing drink! Amara made our drinks & she even offered to re-make it if it wasn't sweet or tart enough. But they were perfect! I've been here a couple of times, but came today to try the new Okinawa drink. I'm Filipino, so if you like the flavor of bibingka (sweet brown sugar toasted rice cake) -- this tastes just like that. Although I usually get the yakult drinks. But seriously, if you try any of the ones with salted cheese, please listen to the sign on the wall, and sip at 45degree angle, so you get the perfect ratio of tea & the salted cheese. I was a little hesitant to try this place but after trying to go to one of our other places that we love and Quickly both locations were closed, but we happen to stumble across Happy Lemon. My son said that his Oreo milk tea was so delicious that it's indescribable, my daughter said that her strawberry black tea with salted cheese was the best she ever had and I definitely felt the same way about my drink. I really want to like this place but there yet has been one drink that I crave for here :( I went when it first opened and they did the BOGO. A bunch of my friends and I got ~10 different drinks and took turns trying it (this was pre-COVID, don't worry lol). We got all kinds like the mango lemon slush, Oreo milk tea, tiramisu drinks, yakults, puff cream drink, salted cheese drink, etc. I recently gave it another shot and tried the mango matcha (so many good reviews on it) and it was good but wasn't to die for. I would probably come here again if my friends were really craving it but I could never go on my own. First time trying it here in Stockton and got a matcha tiramisu! I'm not a big fan of cheese foam, but I decided to give it a try. The first few sips I wasn't able to get enough of the drink so it did taste a bit salty. I decided to mix the cheese foam with the rest of my drink and it tasted much better! Let me start off by saying that Happy Lemon is my #1 favorite boba place, and if you know me, then you'll know that I am a boba addict and I get a drink EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I was ecstatic when I found out that Happy Lemon was opening a location here in Stockton. My go-to drink is the green tea with salted cheese, extra sweet, 50% ice, and boba of course. I'm a green tea gal but I heard the black tea with salted cheese was also really good. I highly recommend getting extra sweet if you normally like your drinks sweet like I do, since their regular sweet tastes slightly less sweet than other boba places. The salted cheese sounds weird at first, but once you try it, it is straight up LIFE CHANGING!!! I've put all of my friends on the salted cheese and 95% of them loved it (the rest are just lactose intolerant). Another drink that I sometimes get is the boba milk tea with puff cream (extra sweet of course). The puff cream is thicker than the salted cheese and is a perfect combination of sweet and salty, a great touch to the regular milk tea! The workers are extremely friendly and always provide excellent customer service! They also basically know who I am now since I come there like every single day. 10/10 recommend Happy Lemon over all the other boba places in Stockton! LOVE Y'ALL!!!!!!! read more

People. If you know me, you know it's basically impossible for me to give any Happy Lemon less than five stars. However, this location truly deserves it. The inside is one of the largest Happy Lemons I've ever been in (not cramped like some), and I love the brand art plastered on all four walls. Both times I went, the staff was super welcoming and friendly, not complaining at all when I recited my obnoxiously long order (large passion fruit green tea, 75% sweetness 0% ice, with boba and tiramisu salted cheese. I've gone here near opening day and it was alright. Went here again last night and got a few drinks before heading home. I handed my brother his drink and as he was drinking it and finishing it up he starts shaking his drink.....and there was an unusual sound as if there was something in it. He opens up the lid to his drink and to our disgust, there was some sort of cap or measuring cup in his drink......what a nightmare. We couldn't do anything at that point since my brother had practically finished the drink. Since it was super late at night I couldn't drive back either and demand a refund. I tried to call them today, but no answer on the phone. Of course. I love the happy lemon at Elk Grove, so maybe I'll just take my money there. I took my nieces here for our first time and I must say that we are a couple of happy lemons! We loved all our drinks that we ordered: Salted Cheese Milk Tea Oreo Tiramisu, Green Tea Mango Matcha Smoothie, Mango Lemon Slush, and Mango Green Tea. Great customer service. After placing our order, they give some sort of a cute lemon chip for the order number and they have a tv screen that shows the list of order numbers, letting us know when our order will be ready. Went here when I was craving for some boba. Customer services was great. Great place to bring people to chill and relax.

I tried Happy Lemon for the first time a couple months ago and have been a regular customer since. I love it! If you're unsure about the salted cheese, ask for a sample. It comes as a shot and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Basically it's a cream cheese foam that's salted and blends well with their sweet drinks. You can adjust the sweetness of any drink if you're concerned but I don't go anywhere past 50%. It's also good as is. I typically stick with A2 which is their black tea with salted cheese which is perfect for me. No boba but if you want it they charge. Wish there wasn't because their boba is good. If I want a decaf drink the only option out of the teas is the Okinawa Fresh Milk. Wish there were more options for decaf tea but it's cool. That does come with boba. Give them a shot. I'll be trying more drinks in the future. Ask for their frequent buyer card. read more

Their drinks are mediocre imo. I would only go for the puff cream drinks and matcha drinks but they don't have a huge variety of drinks and a lot of the drinks don't really call out to me.
