    Strawberry Matcha

The place is a vibe. BUT the matcha is not great. 1/10. Tasted like strawberry nesquik milk. Which is good. But that's not what I ordered.. The aesthetic is amazing & the girlies who take your order are sweet but the flavor/taste is not there.

4.5 Food & drinks were delicious. Heard lots of good things about this place and decided to try it out while in town. They did not lie. I loved the waffle. It wasn't your typical kind of waffle. It had a good sweetness to it & so fluffy. My daughter loved the sandwich. Surprisingly she ate a lot with my sister. Drinks were good. Only giving it a 4.5 because they didn't have decaf option as I am pregnant & only drink decaf for now.

Nice little coffee shop, we tried them at their last location but I think there wasn't enough foot traffic. Seating is ok, not the most comfortable for being a coffee shop and chilling. But the atmosphere is very appealing. Lots of plants , neon sign. Very cool. Very noisy and packed. but we came on a Sunday so probably a tad more busy. We waited for over 30 mins, asked about our drinks and gal said someone must have taken them. Hmm, we were both up front and never heard our name , so maybe didn't make em? So not sure, but needless to say it took a while to get drinks. We also got pizza bagel since they were pretty much out of a lot of there bagels and other baked goods. But another 15 mins before we got our drinks So very disappointed with their service or how they handle things when they are busy. My chai latte was amazing. I ask for oat milk due to allergies to milk and it's very good and rich, great for a latte. We also got pizza bagels, my less favorite so far. A lot of sausage and meat on top , not what I was expecting I guess I should have gotten the no meat but didn't know they had it till after. Overall, I like poppy Coffey atmosphere, there neon sign, the plants, it's nice, the chairs not so much. Just felt flimsy thin, cheap and I felt like it was gonna collapse. lol. I'm a big framed guy. Wife says beefcake but I won't argue with cute comments or nicknames. lol. Hope my review helps. It's worth trying in my eyes, but try not to visit them on a weekend due to crowd and time frames.

I was so happy to hear that Poppy coffee was opening on miracle Mile and I finally had the chance to work there a few weeks ago. The space itself is gorgeous, tons of natural light and plenty of seating on both the first and second floors. It definitely has the potential to be a great spot to get work done and have coffee dates with friends. The staff wasn't anything special to comment on, but the biggest disappointment was the iced pumpkin Matcha...EWWWWW. It was honestly pretty nasty and definitely not something I'd order again. I'm open to coming back and trying another drink, but their Matcha is not it. One thing that threw me off was the amount of flies inside, they just wouldn't leave, which made it hard to focus. Also, because of all the natural lighting, it could get hot and muggy in the space. It probably won't be too bad in the winter, but I could see it becoming an issue during summer. Overall, I feel like poppy coffee is a great coffee shop to work at aesthetics wise if you don't mind having subpar drinks. (If anyone has any recommendations for good drinks to try here, let me know!!)

Scone, Iced Tea, Chocolate Chip Cookie

I haven't been to Poppy Coffee since they were at their old location (more north on Pacific), so I'm glad I was able to visit their new space. The space is definitely an upgrade from their last one with high ceilings and endless sunlight through the big windows. I used to love their espresso brownies, so I was a bit disheartened not to see them on display (still on the menu I think, just not that day). The chocolate chip cookie I got was pretty good (it's on the flatter side, if you like your cookies more hefty). The iced tea was refreshing but I don't think I'd get it again. Scone was tasty too. Plenty of seats to choose from when coming to study or get some work done. That's probably the only reason I'd come back, but I'll be sure to order a coffee next time to see if it's still worth it.

Love the vibe here, they have upstairs seating as well. Music can be loud. They have breakfast and lunch food options. They offer coffee, decaf, and other beverages. Their seasonal coffee/specialty coffee options are good as well. I was asked to leave by 5pm when the business hours show they open until 8pm that day. There was a private event notice at the door that I didn't see, so be mindful of their updated hours/notice.

Pros: -Cappuccino was nice and foamy -Service was fast (the place wasn't crowded when I went) -There's a-lot of seating on both the 1st and 2nd floor -Comfy couches -Great view of Miracle Mile through the giant windows on the 1st floor Cons: -The espresso shot was too acidic for my taste. It was like having a shot of alcohol. -The place is too noisy for relaxing imo. Would prefer no music. Also, the place needs some sound proofing. Theres too much noise bouncing around especially on the second floor. -$4 for a shot of espresso is a bit pricey -Upstairs isn't warm. Bring a hoodie or jacket. -Dusty ceiling fans were a bit off putting Notes: -The place looks nice, but its missing charm.

So I've reviewed poppy coffee before, but that was before they moved to their new location. We recently visited it since we're big fans. The new spot is awesome, more space, even an upstairs to relax in. Everyone inside was working hard, whether it was making drinks or bringing out food. Place is beautiful, ambience is relaxing with the couches. I had a strawberry lemonade and OMG!!!!! It must be the ice lol, sooooo refreshing. For lunch we had the OG, with an everything bagel. Just like before, the food is on point. Reasonable pricing, fast service, great food in a clean spot. Can't ask for more...100% recommend.

Service was great, pretty laid back atmosphere. I'm glad they took over this place, it's great for the neighborhood!

Cute and quiet coffee shop! Coffee its self was not it. I ordered a small strawberry smoothie, a M banana latte, M Vanilla latte, and a pizza bagel ($33). Only thing that was good was the smoothie. Both coffee drinks lacked flavor it was more like water down milk , ice and splash of espresso as for taste. Pizza bagel was not a whole bagel just a half slice of a whole bagel. Just got to Starbucks or Dutch down the street tbh.

Barista on their phone the entire time

Walked in with no line and waited for service at the counter for 5 mins. Looked around and saw no one who appeared to be working. Oh but there was, she was too busy on her phone at a table and noticed me after 5 mins. She continued to take my order with her phone in hand still texting and also continued making my drink with phone in hand. Drink could've been better.

Met with a friend who lives nearby and we decided to try the new location. The place looks great inside and out and is just what the Mile needs. Service was friendly and quick. I went with the scone and latte that were recommended and they both were pretty good, with great flavor and smooth coffee. They also have an upstairs loft that I'll have to try next time. This is a great addition to the neighborhood, and I'm happy to see it.

The new location is very clean and quiet. A lot of space to sit down and enjoy your food and drink. The customer service was great. I thought the food was average. I don't know if I would go there again for that specifically, but if I was hungry, I'd order it again.

Burnt the bagel and smothered it in creame cheese to pretend it didnt happen?

Aaliyah greeted us as soon as we walked in and directed us towards our table. Coincidentally, she was also our server. It was like we knew her for years. Aaliyah was friendly and attentive. We started with the mimosa flights. We couldn't decide on flavors, however, Aaliyah picked a variety of flavors for us, so we were covered. The food came out hot! I had the meat lover skillet with eggs over-easy. The eggs were cooked perfect. The warm yolk added to the flavorful meat and smothered potatoes. René had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was juicy and tender. Next time we'll ask for a side of sauce because it's so good that we needed more than provided, at least for us. One thing we noticed was that every customer was happy. Maybe the other customers were regulars there but this was our first time and we were treated like we were regulars. I think it just says something about the attention to customer service. Toward the end of our visit, "B" one of Sheila's daughters, came out to check on us. Again, it was like talking to a long time friend. Well, it turns out Sheila B'Z is a family business - - everyone working was family, including those working the food truck at an event today. I love that. We will totally be back!
