It was my first time at a nail salon after quarantine; just imagine how excited I was. I had 3 different people doing my nails, they keep switching and I always hate that. They applied the nail color on my feet so badly, and my hands... when at first she told me I was ready I thought it was a joke. This is my new favorite place to get a pedicure in the Capital Region. I was so impressed by how much care and effort they put into their pedicures; they devoted 45 minutes to me and my feet were baby-soft afterwards. The owners are a really friendly and sweet couple, and it looked like they were on a first-name basis with most of the other women there. Definitely going back! read more

I was out of town for a funeral and went to get a gel manicure. I had to go back the following day because my nails were already chipping, and four days in I have the top layer of polish coming completely off. I'm not pleased at all with the quality of the manicure - other salons gel manicures have lasted me 3+ weeks. read more

Had ANC nails done by an inexperienced young man. Very meticulous, but took longer than necessary. Application was too thick and extra cost for removal of old ANC and if you want more than one color. read more

I had an expired gift certificate, but called ahead and asked if it would still be honored. I was told that I could use it so I booked a pedicure! I got in the door, temp. Taken, sanitizer used , color picked and ready to soak! I handed the woman my gift certificate reminding her that I was the one who called earlier and suddenly my gift certificate couldn't be used! Thank goodness I brought it out BEFORE I started the pedicure! What a scam!! Never will return!! Buyer beware!! read more

I stopped in one day for a gel manicure. The sign outside said it was their grand opening and all services were 20% off. I was greeted by a nail tech when I walked in, she was friendly and pointed me toward the gel colors. The colors were hanging up pretty high on the wall. There was no way to get a closer look or hold them against your skin. Because of this, I accidentally ended up with a polish that had a little bit of glitter. The color selection also was lacking. Now time for the manicure. So many flags went up once I was in the chair. I'm still mad at myself for not leaving right asay. They didn't change the towel between clients. The first thing she tried to do was cut my cuticle. I told her I didn't want them cut, just pushed. So she pushed them down (without using a softener or anything, just dry skin), filed my nails and then tried to go back with the cuticle cutters. I stopped her again, she tried to tell me it was necessary. It's never necessary to cut your cuticle. Sure as heck wasn't going to let it happen in a shop like this. The files they used were, well very used. Just old and worn (and remember, this was a "grand opening"). Files are cheap and should be replaced with every client. They never soaked my nails or really did much but use a dirty file on them. The hand massage lasted a couple of sections (with almost zero lotion) and the warm towel was a wash cloth.. used for half a second. I do feel bad because the staff was all very friendly. But the serious lack in safety and sanitation means I'll never set a foot back in there. I can only imagine what kind of fungus you'd walk out with after a pedicure. read more

I am not at all happy with my ANC manicure. The girl who did my nails is the owner's daughter. I asked her how old she was, she paused and then said 16. I had to ask her to cut my nails, and she said "Oh I forgot to ask"- my nails are unevenly covered and shaped. No hand massage, lotion or shoulder massage was even offered. I have to cross this salon off my list :( read more

I have been going here for months now and I love it. I had tried many others and when I tried this store it was the one for me. I get ANC nails and an occasional pedicure, both are done with great professionalism. The ANC nails only take about a half hour here where as other places it took at least an hour. My nails always look great and I go back every 2 weeks as a walk in. (I never know when I can go) Its never a problem and I havent ever had to wait to long. Give them a try, I dont think you'll be disappointed. read more

My nails came out so horrible I sat in my car for an hour holding back tears contemplating what I should do because I was going on vacation the next day. I can't get my money and now have to go through the annoyance of removing them myself. I asked for coffin shape which is very popular and I got really short cat nails and they looked sloppy and unprofessional. I was really disappointed with this salon & won't be going back. I haven't ever given a bad review but the experience there was really not a good one. In Dec I walked in (they take walk ins) & wanted a gel/shellac manicure. The girl that helped me appeared to be new as the woman & man in there kept coming over & looking at her work on my nails. She filed my nails crooked & kept filing a few all the way down. At some point I politely asked her to straighten the nails & eventually the older woman came over & took over the manicure but by then it was already done. The older woman said my nail was crooked -it wasn't when I walked in until it was filed sideways. To be fair the older woman probably could have done a nice job but I think they were embarrassed & wanted me out. She finished it & I left. Within an hour they chipped (I've never had one chip-ever) & all my nails broke & took 5 mths to grow back -I've had these manicures for yrs & this has never happened. Avoid this salon. read more

Whoever came up with the name "Happy Nail" has a seriously misguided opinion of this establishment. For starters, it's poorly decorated and dirty. That should have been my first warning, but I ignored my gut, the dirt piles in the corner, and the unattractive multi-colored walls. I asked for a manicure and a pedicure, and after choosing from their limited selection of colors, was led to the pedicure chair and was kept waiting with my feet in lukewarm water for 25 minutes. Thankfully I had nowhere to be. By my generous estimate, the pedicure itself lasted 13 minutes. The manicure lasted maybe 10, and it only lasted that long because I asked the technician to please take a minute to clean up the nail polish that she had smeared all over my fingers. My nails lasted roughly 12 hours before chipping, and my toes lasted 2 days before suffering the same messy fate. My experience here made me feel many things, but "happy" was not one of them. Needless to say, I will not be returning. Ever. read more
