My friend and I came for a gel and dip appointment. We made our appointments in advance and had no wait when we got there which was amazing. There are some places where you have to wait regardless so it was great that they honored your appointment time. They have a great array of colors that we chose from and our manicurists were super diligent in their job. I'm really happy with how my nails turned out and haven't experienced any chipping or peeling since! For gel removal and manicure it was $35 which is the same as elsewhere. Posting this review in hopes of bringing some awareness to the way the employees here treat their customers. I came in with my friend, and they had bizarre add ons that she wasn't happy with. She reviewed the place, expressed her feelings, and someone at this business had the audacity to reply to her review saying "we don't know why you're doing this." Take some accountability and acknowledge that you had an unhappy guest instead of blaming them. Customer service is the most important part of a successful business. Might be playing with fire here since they have a record of being nasty to their customers who review them poorly. In addition to the above mentioned: The quality of work here was not up to our standard either. Two gel manis that chipped, and the tech wouldn't put on an additional top coat since he claimed it was "special and can only be put on once." So why did it chip if it's so special? I have high nail standards and this place exceeded them. I brought my 3 year old in for a manicure while I got a pedicure. They were so sweet and kind to her, even helped her up into the pedicure chair to sit with me after she was done. My pedicure was very enjoyable and ended with a massage. We just moved to the area and I'm even more excited they are open on Sundays. This will be my new spot for pedicures and possibly more. Clean, friendly and so kind to my daughter. RIDICULOUS service. Made an appt for mani pedi but got slammed with work last minute. When i got there (an hour after they opened) i asked if i could only do the mani since i wouldn't have time for the pedi. She said no and they would need to charge me for both services regardless. I've NEVER been to a place to do that - that is not a thing. I told her i just didn't have time to do both I'm slammed with work and tried to come up with solutions but she said no to everything i suggested. They claimed since i couldn't do both they would just cancel my entire appointment. So not only did they: give me a bad experience, wouldn't work with me on a solution, and didn't get paid for either service - they lost a customer bc I won't be coming back. read more

Had an excellent experience my first time visiting for an ANC mani and regular pedicure. Loved the set up here, everything was exceptionally clean. My nail tech was awesome he made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Love the added touches of massage and such along the way. This was probably the most relaxing nail experience I have had in the capital region. I was almost thinking of just getting my nails done this one time and continuing with pedicures in the future, but since my experience was so good I think I'll keep doing both! I was late to an appointment 2 weeks ago, called to let them know I had a funeral and was running late. I was late again today, because of therapy, and called an hour before my appointment to change it. Then I called again to confirm I can still come. When I arrived I said I understand I am late and cannot get full service, and they insisted I stay. After I spent $125 on my appointment ($100 +$25 tip) + owner followed me outside to my car and told me he liked money too much and did not care about me so I was no longer allowed to come there. He said to my face that most of his customers tip $25 so, my generosity did not matter and my money wasn't needed. This is a wonderful description of how culturally you can spend over $2,000 in one year at a salon, and they remove you when you're honest, transparent, respectful + basically just a human doing their best. My ethics + values are why I am posting this: future patrons do as you wish. The manager is out here for himself and was blatantly honest about it. This is not the kind of small business I want to support and I will share that publicly here as others may feel the need to spend their money where it's valued + respected. Perhaps there is something to learn here good sir *when greed + gluttony come over customer service, the tide will roll back in for you. I'll be sure I never recommend Queen House + I will make sure to share how humiliating of an experience it was to spend $125 and then be told my money isn't good here. read more

I have tried this nail salon place twice. The 1st time I stopped going was due to the tech leaving and a poor ANC nail application by the new tech. The second time ( years later) I had a great nail ANC nail application. I called to book again The nail tech had left. (Should have suspected something was wrong) At my second appointment I was late 20 minutes thinking I was early. Not sure if I made the mistake of thinking I had the wrong appointment time or they made a mistake. I was told I would be charged $30. The appt was already taken by another customer. I work in a doctors office and realize that people and staff make mistakes. We DO NOT charge the patient in these cases. It's an honest mistake. This is a nail salon! Not so important. There are plenty to choose from. I will never go back. Their policy of charging for an honest mistake is ridiculous. I walked out and did not pay the charge. read more

When I called for a pedi appt. (My 1st & recommended by a friend) they said they opened at 10:00 a.m., so I made an appt. for 10:00 a.m. I arrived at 10:03 a.m. and interestingly the salon was completely full with one station left...do ppl wait in line to get in, or do they really open earlier than 10? Regardless, I was seated in the last pedi chair left. The salon was very clean, bright, and all techs were dressed in crisp white pants and jackets, and all masked. The pedi basin was lined, and I picked the $50 pedi with leg/foot massage. The entire experience was wonderful! I was escorted to the drying station and was handed my bill. I told my tech I'd have to use ATM machine to pay for Pedi, but I gave her a $10 tip in cash then and there. I finished drying, used ATM, and handed the cashier $60. She gave me $10 change. I started my exit, and another tech came running after me remarking that I gave the cashier $60 and took $10 change insinuating that I neglected to tip my tech (?). I assured her I already tipped, and she then proceeded to inform yet someone else who wrote something in a notebook...she then smiled and said ok. What if I chose not to tip? Would they have locked me in?!?!? I was embarrassed and unnerved. I will go again because it "appears" to be the cleanest & most sanitary salon I have tried so far. Except for the rude situation after I paid, it was a great pedicure! I would have given 5 stars but for the accosting at my exit! read more

This was my first time here. I was about 30 minutes early to my 6pm appointment and they took me right away for a regular pedicure and gel manicure. I picked a light pink for my pedicure but guess I picked too light of a pink because it looks like there's nothing on my toes. I get that's my fault for picking the color but maybe she could have done one more coat or at least warned me that it would be sheer but oh well. The over all pedicure experience was fantastic she really took the time and effort to make sure they looked good so I'm pleased. I just now know not to pick that color again. The gel manicure however I am unhappy with. During the manicure she kept checking her watch so it seemed like she was trying to finish up and the nails agree. I got another light pink on my nails but this one was darker as we tested it when I was selecting a color. The issue was that it seemed really splotchy when it was dried. Idk how to describe it differently. It wasn't an even coating on all the nails. The other part about the manicure I'm unhappy with is that I got my nails done the day before I went to the beach. I'm writing this review 4 days after getting my nails done and all my gel peeled right off in one piece. Now maybe gel doesn't go well with salt water idk but I think I've gotten gel manicured before going to the beach and they have never peeled off. The whole combo cost me $100 (including tip) for 4 days of polish. I may go back and request another artist and colors and see if that experience is any better. It's been a week and they already look grown out since they pushed back my cuticles AFTER putting on the powder. 4 days into my vacation out of state the powder came loose and lifted off one finger like a fake nail. Got to finish the second half of my vacation with a nail missing. Just went back to see if they would fix it for me (since it was their work that failed) and was told they only take appointments. They're too busy to fix their shitty work apparently. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Such a shame. They would have gotten a 5 star review from me before today. When they first opened It was my favorite nail salon around, until recently they have been going down hill. They also increased their prices and their prices do not reflect their work. I went in on a Saturday when it wasn't busy and they told me they didn't have time to do a simple design on one finger! My nails came out awful the last couple of times and I am very disappointed! I had to give them one star because their work is not reflective of their increase in price. I've had both long tips and short natural nails and get nothing but compliments for days after I get a new set. Congratulations on your beautiful new salon! Queen House takes great care of you from the moment you walk in!! They also have a "warranty" in case your nail chips/breaks in the first week or more. This is the first time I've ever signed on to yelp to read or write a review on any business. I figured it out though because I've never been treated so poorly. I started going to Queen House Nails this past spring after being at my last nail salon for the past 9 years. I wasn't happy with the way my previous salon was keeping up with organization and cleanliness. Queen House Nails is pristine and a beautiful place to get your nails done. It's highly overpriced tho and I convinced myself I was paying extra for the experience. But then each time I went I started to realize I hated the way I felt there. They are so rude!! I don't even like my nails as much as I used to. They have called my cell phone two times on my way in the door a minute late. A literal minute. I think one time I was two minutes late. I got an infection in my nail which was ironic after switching to a cleaner salon. They (unintentionally) hurt/burn your nails with the electric file every time no matter who you see. And tonight the straw that broke the camels back. My daughters and I went to have our nails done. My fingernails and my girls their toes. My 11 year old didn't make it in time so I offered to get my toes done in her place as well as my nails. I was sternly told "it doesn't work that way" and that I needed to pay the $30 "no show fee" or my phone number would be blocked. I paid it and let them know I'd never be back. Too bad they just lost 7 girls between my sister and our girls and myself who would be there every 2 weeks over a $30 no show fee. They should make smarter business choices. I had David this time, and he did an absolutely wonderful job! I got ANC, and for colors I did "baby blue" and then just on my ring fingers I did silver. He did them very well and also gave me a free short hand and neck massage! I think this is the third time I have been here and every time I loved my nails after and enjoyed the experience. Make sure to check this place out! You can walk in without an appointment, but this place gets busy even during the week, so it's better to have an appointment. I hardly ever get my nails done. Other than a few months ago at another salon it's been years since I've been to a salon. The other salon I tried was unsanitary and my nails were very crooked. I decided to give this one a try. They were able to schedule me for the next day for an ANC manicure and pedicure. Annie did my pedicure, she was gentle and kind. She was also patient with me when I changed my mind on nail polish colors, she even offered to paint some nails with one color and if I didn't like it we could take it off and try a different color. While waiting for my nails to try she gave me a shoulder massage! Then onto my manicure, done by Camille. She was so kind, made sure I liked the design and length of my nails. I've never had nails this beautiful, I'm so in love with them! Their waiting room is beautiful with a Christmas tree, a big couch, and mini fridge. All their supplies were clean, and everyone was so kind. I even got a gift bag for the holidays with a microfiber towel for my hair and a hat with their logo! It was my first visit to this nail salon I made an appointment for me and my friend to have two manicures and two pedicures and my daughter was coming with us to have her nails done and see when we got there my daughter could not come she wasn't feeling well the manager was very very rude and told me I had to pay for my daughter even though she didn't come . I was not told on the phone of the cancellation policy I apologize to him and said I'd be happy to buy a gift certificate because I canceled for her at the last minute I understand I wouldn't want anybody to lose business and they were very busy nobody was going without work. Had my friend not already started her pedicure I would've just left but he was very loud and embarrass me in front of everybody in their salon so I went and had my Manicure and pedicure and he charged me $30 extra which was outrageous very poor businessman. I was very disappointed and very unsatisfied and I'm not even sure that was legal he did not notify me when I called for that appointment there was any such cancellation notice that he was going to charge me if we didn't show up. Very rude the owners Jason and Camille have no respect the way they treated me and my daughter my mother who is 70 years old was shaking from fear he was yelling at us because my daughter decided she would like a pedicure as well as a manicure and he told her he has no time she needs to decide hands or feet or nothing! And said we always do this when honestly I make my appointments and I show up for my appointments I pay over $100 not including tip every time I come in that is only for my service not including what my daughter is paying. We did not deserve this this was very disrespectful and I am very disappointed they have no consideration for the customers they do not care about their customers they rush you and if you tell them you would like a little more filing or you decided you wanted your nails a little shorter he gets mad and tells you he is the expert at this let me do my job he says. But actually I am the one paying you for service it is how I want my nails done not you.
