All of the employees including the owners are friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming to both longtime customers as well as new ones visiting for the first time. This is one of my regular go-to pedicure places. I've had very good experiences in terms of the pedicure received. Last time I went, I upgraded from the regular pedicure to a slightly more expensive one, and the employee gave me a GREAT leg and foot massage that didn't feel like it was 5 seconds long. The nails themselves always come out well and the polish stays on for a reasonable amount of time. The facility is clean and has a modern appearance. read more

As a hairstylist I 1) have some training/knowledge about nails 2) turn to coating options to keep my paws looking pretty. I've been doing various types of gels for the past year or so. Henry is the first person that I've been to who really understands the different gel options and the advantages of each. He recommended an acrylic/gel blend for me made out of a powder activated by a liquid. As a non uv option, this gel sets and dries naturally very quickly and is extremely efficient. Generally when I do a new set of uv gels it takes an hour and a half. With this method, it took 45 minutes! Henry's precision was also excellent. He did a great job of shaping my natural nails ensuring that they were filed evenly in length, parallel to my fingers (I hate crookedness), and the right degree of square for me. A special forming/cutting tool (think cookie cutter) was used to create a french manicure with the gel as opposed to the more common brush method. The outcome - an extremely well curved even line that took seconds to form. I highly recommend Henry and Deluxe. read more

Just went here with my daughter. She got a manicure, I got a pedicure. I was very pleased with the service and even more pleased that this establishment is very conscious of COVID guidelines. They're totally inconsistent with the quality of their service and the owner is a jerk so when you show him a bad manicure (while you're still in the salon), he blames it on you. Some of the workers are very nice and do a very good job but there are others that just rush through to get you done so the next person can take your seat. If I could I would give 0 stars .. I came in to get ANC done on my nails, I'm from downstate and I like to try new places while up in Albany at school as I still have yet to find a place that comes close to places back home. I had an old gel mani on my nails and as soon as the manicurist saw that he was annoyed.. he soaks acetone on cotton and places it on the surface of my nail, covers w/ foil. Literally 1 minute later he takes off the foil/cotton from my pinky finger and starts to file away with the electric file... There was no actual soaking of my nails to remove the gel the proper way, he was too impatient to wait (mind you I made an appointment). It takes him longer to take off the gel this way and I notice he starts filing my nails to shape them and it's all uneven..my pointer and index are shorter than my pinky and the angles were off. I politely asked him to shape them evenly and he gave me a rude look and smirked. As he moved onto my other hand I decided I wasn't going to get ANC done here and just wanted the gel"removed" at this point and my nails manicured. When I told him this he moves even quicker, filing the other hand unevenly and leaving chips of paint in the corners of my nails. To top it off I paid $10 for gel removal (cost $5-$7 normally). By far the worst customer service in Albany. Will not go back, will never recommend. read more

Mani/pedi on Thursday 7/2/15 afternoon, $35. Friday, toes ok, nails look like they were done at least 7 days ago, not a little more then 24 HOURS. Chipped on 8 nails. I didn't do any activity to do this. I would have called on Sat. But they were closed till Monday went in and requested they do them again sure, but they expected to be paid again when I refused they informed me that manicures are not guaranteed and only lasts for 1 or 2 days.WHAT! . Made an appt for Tuesday today at 11 got there first sat with one tech then owner did it repeting that there is no guarantee I told him to post that there is no guans tee and they only last for one day. No, no, no cant do that!! He tells me you picked out the polish that chips!!!! these over here last for two weeks and are guaranteed. use this one then, oh no these cost more money,,,,,on and on how this is the only time he will do it over for me and not charge me?.it was a favor....really?
