My friend has been coming here for years because it's affordable and they do a great job. Today was my first time in and the staff was very kind and helpful. Patient when it came to my color choice (they wiped two pinks and I ended up getting white). They had drinks for us and candy for the kids. We got the $40 pedicure which included the callous treatment and more massage. They were great and the exfoliation was soothing. Susan was terrific and painted my toes well and gave them a good shape. The owner was supervising as she strolled by and made sure everything was in order for us. Went in for a full set for a work trip, I showed a photo of what I want, coffin shape neutral nails. It wasn't going good, acrylic was missed on whole side sections of nails. Shape when he finished filling 1st time was square. Some significantly thicker than others. I asked him to file and shape more and he did to get closer to coffin shape in the image. But he did not converse well and the acrylic did not get fixed. I could only sit there so long. Moving on to paint, two uneven coats applied. Left the salon with nails that need a fill on the sides and excess messy acrylic on my fingers. A few days later I ended up buying nail polish stickers and put them on top of my nails to make it through the work trip I got them done for. There are so many other salons in the area to try, so I wouldn't return to this one. read more

This place has been my go to spot for Pedicures for several years. New ownership now. I can honestly say that the quality of the service is not the same. The tech rushed through the pedicure. she did not do a good job. She did not take care of cuticles and when left I noticed there was still dead skin which should have been removed. I walked back in and brought it to her attention and she said I needed to put Vaseline on my foot and purchase a grater and do it myself. Needless to say I will not be returnin. read more

I was referred to try this place out by a friend. It's not a fancy place but exactly what I was looking for. I needed both a Manicure and pedicure and was able to get both done simultaneously to save time. The staff was able to find me almost a perfect match for my gel color for my hands to the color I selected for my toes. The massages were amazing and not rushed at all! Have been to Happy now 3 times and have had very nice experiences. Always friendly, great color selection with good polish brands, and clean. The only thing I can say negative is the same for every salon; that is that some of the techs don't give a decent massage. I know they are not massage techs, but don't include as an "extra" unless the tech is skilled to some degree. Overall, prices for services are average for the area. And the friendliness makes it my first choice. read more

They take money for gift certificates and then put an expiration date of 6 months on them. A friend of mine had a gift certificate that cost her boyfriend $35. She was not able to go within that window due to being the sole caretaker of her mom. Happy Nails is a lovely little St Pete secret, tucked away in a small strip mall off of 4th street. The service is excellent and the prices are perfect. I am a regular with Kim but all of the staff are great. There is never any fuss if you need to soak longer than normal. They have a superb Monday and Tuesday deal on pedicures that can't be beat. The owner did my friends pedicure. They were crooked and stubby when she asked for just lightly cut. I asked for ingrown nail removal and she basically just poked my toe and caused pain. Usually there is pain with ingrown removal, but this was not the case. The pedicures are $40 when my usual salon that was busy is $30 and does an amazing job. save your money!! Do not go here... I took my best friend from California here, and it was terrible. First off they rushed both of us... we had no time to look at the colors and choose a color we wanted... My best friend got gel nails that looked like my 5 year old cousin did them. They started to chip off the next morning...It was way over priced too... I got french acrylics, and they were terrible... Not evenly shaped at all, and I had to constantly tell the lady she needs to go back over a spot and even them out.... They are also just the white tips, they do not use any type of powder which makes them look trashy... very disappointed... She also did a terrible job at trimming them. I recently relocated to St. Pete from Miami and have only had my nails done one time while here. See other review, horrible experience at that place. Anyways, I was driving home from work, and desperate for a mani/pedi, but hesitant since my last nail experience in St. Pete was so bad. I had passed Happy Nail Spa a few times, and called to see if they were still open and went around 6 PM (they close at 7 PM). The place was not busy at all since it was the middle of the week and later in the evening. Vivian did my pedicure ($23 dollars) and she did a great job! I did have to pay $5 dollars more for "callous" treatment, which in Miami is standard with a pedicure. Also, french costs an additional $5 dollars, as well, which is standard usually all over. I requested a white on white french, and Vivian had no idea what I was talking about, but after explaining it was a french with (usually) Essie Marshmellow, she subbed in OPI Funny Bunny and it turned out great and exactly how I like it! Vivian took time to use a scrub, stones, and finished with lotion/massage. Another nail tech, Mai (spelling?) simultaneously did my gel manicure. The salon has a ton of normal polish (mostly OPI) and a ton of gel colors to choose from, (mostly OPI and Gellish). Both pedicure and gel manicure turned out beautiful! End price for a gel mani and french pedicure was $58 dollars. Not too bad, but this place should have weekday specials! I will definitely go back! read more

I won't be back to this place. Gel Polish - They don't soak your finger nails in warm water before start cleaning because they don't want your nails to get wet?. Pedicure - Don't brush your toe nails or remove the dry calleus and they cut my fingers and toes skin ouch! read more
