I had Nin for my services and she was great! I had an accident earlier in the year that left me with nerve damage in one of my hands so l've been really guarded and don't like people touching me--this was my first manicure since the accident. Nin was gentle and took my notes about what I can currently tolerate. Additionally, she took the polish right to the nail base and edges of the nail and shaped my nails just how I wanted on the first attempt--l'm extremely picky about my nails and her work all around was pretty darn flawless! I only rate 4 stars because there was not clarity on pricing. I originally booked for a regular polish mani pedi and was quoted $60 total. On arrival, I asked what the up charge would be for a gel cat eye mani and was told it was $15 extra. At checkout, I was told it was $15 extra for the gel plus $15 extra for the cat eye and somehow that added up to a $95 total? I still don't understand the math on that Nin was amazing, though, and I would see her again, just probably for a regular polish appointment. Having a physical pricing sheet shown to me would have really helped in making an informed decision on the service I wanted, instead of walking out with a slightly soured taste in my mouth from the miscommunication read more

I've now been 3 or 4 times, each person was very friendly and did a quality job. I'm so happy I found Fonda after losing my last nail tech of 3 years in Tampa. Dip ($55) has lasted 3 weeks each time. I am happy to say I'll be a regular here as long as I live in St Pete! read more

Love love love this place! It was clean, people were friendly and there were sooo many nail polishes to choose from! I got a basic pedicure for $30 which is very standard pricing. Regular spa Pedicure done by a young woman who took her time, did not over cut cuticles like most do, experience was relaxing which most aren't. Have found that most salons in St Pete are terrible. Would recommend Fonda. read more

I spent $180 here and within less than a week one of my nails broke. Just over a week later another one broke, and even my toenail chipped within only a few days. For what I paid, this is ridiculous. I haven't had my nails break or chip like this in years, so I know it's not me. Something about the way they were done just wasn't right. When I called about the nail that broke under a week, I was told it could be fixed for free. But when I actually went in, it wasn't free at all. The woman at the front desk was also very rude over the phone. She acted like it was my fault because the only girl who does Gel X wasn't available at the time I needed. That should not be my problem. If your policy says a fix within a week is free, then you should honor that no matter what. I also specifically asked for Gel X because that is the only thing I ever get, but someone else must've ended up doing something different to my nails that I was unaware of. If only one person actually knows how to do Gel X, then customers should be told that upfront. It feels like they don't even know what they are doing. On top of all that, I came in for what was supposed to be a ten minute fix and still had to wait about thirty minutes before they even started, and there were only two other people in the salon at the time. I really wanted to like this place, but I left completely disappointed. The service was rude, the policies make no sense, and my nails and toes did not even last. Spending $180 just to have nails break and chip within days is crazy. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

Kelly is amazing! I'm super picky. I like them perfectly square and perfectly shaped. I like that when the gloss shows there are no bumps in the nails. I also like them to be perfectly sealed because I work with water. Kelly has done all of that and more. She was also very fast which I love because I get pockets of time. Thanks again Kelly! Loved this place. I'm visiting from out of town and they were able to fit me in same day. Nice location and the studio itself was warm and inviting. I had Khana (I'm sure I'm messing this up. Sorry. I should've written it down. She's the back table by the dip wall.) She was helpful in suggesting a color and a new-to -me nail shape. I loved both. It was also just nice and relaxing. I read my book nearly the whole time, which was lovely. She even gave me a little pen thingy to use on the device while my nails soaked and they have a little device stand (probably for phones but worked just as well for my kindle). They're small touches but really added a lot to my visit. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back. read more

I called this salon after receiving a recommendation from someone I know to get a better understanding of their services. I spoke with the most incredibly rude person! She became quickly impatient with me for absolutely no reason. I asked her to lower her voice and she just continued to speak in a sharp and agitated manner. I definitely won't be booking here. I've gotten my dip nails done twice at this salon and both times my dip has chipped almost immediately. I called the salon and paid an extra $15 ($10+$5 tip) to have my 5 chipped nails redone. It's only been 31 hours and one of my redone nails has already chipped. I was hoping to have my nails done for Christmas and they chipped and now they've chipped again right before NYE. I don't understand what the problem is because this salon is so highly rated. I usually get my nails done when I work in Tampa and my dip lasts for 2+ weeks. I've given this place two tries plus a repair that I had to pay - needless to say, I won't be back. read more

My first communication with Veronica was attempting to make an appointment. She was booked into next month but some how managed to get me in that week without going on a cancellation list. I thought I was very lucky to get in right away. My appointment was at 1:30 but I was pushed back three times. By the time I sat in her chair it was 3:30 (2 hours later). First red Flag! I was surprised to meet such a young girl who referred to herself as a hair color expert. I sat in her chair. She complimented my Louis Vuitton bag and we briefly discussed partial highlights with olaplex, a toner, blow out and her suggested add on's. I was prepared to pay 250. for her "expertise". So, when she wrote the price break down on the back of the consent form I was SHOCKED! She wrote a small breakdown totaled at 395.00-450.00 (See pic). Second red flag! I immediately let her know that was not going to work for me. I was prepared to pay 250. tops! She agreed and cut out the add on's. We agreed on partial highlights, toner, trim and blow dry. She started the process at 3:38pm. I know the exact time because I texted my friend while she was mixing the bleach to tell him about her price gouging. We joked that we should quit our jobs and become hair dressers . Veronica and I had good conversation. She asked what I did for a living and we discussed many fun topics. She seemed like a sweet young girl. I felt very relaxed and excited to see the results of my hair. She placed foils on the crown of my head (not the back or sides, just on the top with a few on the front of my hairline. After sitting under heat for some time, we went to the bowl to rinse out the bleach. While she was washing and toning my hair she asked me what kind of cut I wanted. I said, just a trim, nothing fancy. She left me at the bowl for another 10 mins or so then came back Here's where things go left.... When she returned to do the final rinse her energy had clearly changed! She seemed anxious and in a bug hurry. She asked me if I wanted a blow out OR trim? I asked her to repeat herself a few times because I was not understanding. I was truly concerned and figured maybe something happened where she had to leave in a hurry. This wasn't the case as she rudely made it clear she had spent too much time on my hair (2 hours and 20 mins) and her time is money! So, she could only trim OR blow dry but not both! Another red flag! I asked her why she didn't tell me that during the consultation? She had no reply but kept saying she didn't charge me enough money! Since when is 100. per hour not a good enough wage? Something very suspicious going on here. ok now I'm pissed. We started bickering at the bowl! I reminded her I was her last appointment and she pushed back my time 2 hours later! Being in the service industry for the last 30 years I let her know real quick that I was not going to be treated disrespectfully and that she was being very unprofessional! After spending less than 3 hours in this salon, I left angered with wet hair! As I was leaving, she sarcastically said "good luck!" Here is the bottom line, This girl wants to charge Hollywood prices in St Pete. In hindsight, it's evident she is only on the hunt for clients to pay her exorbitant prices! Her money grubbing, price gouging is pitiful and desperate! I do NOT recommend Veronica!

I usually go to European Wax Center, but this is so much closer to my home so I had to try it. I was nervous to try a new place (we've all heard waxing horror stories), but I loved it! It smells amazing the moment you walk it. Ana is a one woman show, both checking you in and taking you to the waxing room, but honestly if there is only one client at a time, that's very efficient. Ana is super sweet and bubbly and made my whole experience comfortable. It was like talking with a friend! She kept checking to ensure he temperature of the wax was OK and she was very thorough, taking the time to ensure she got everything. No sneaky random hairs, as she'd pluck any she missed. She also was very gentle, which at first made me worry she wasn't getting all of the hairs, but she somehow did while keeping pain at a minimum. I'll definitely be back!!
