I wanted to try something near by, I just moved to the area. Got a gel manicure and pedicure. My nails came out looking good. The pedicure area has a plastic cover in the bath which is good. You don't have to get everyone's germs. The beauty of my nails came with a price. There was some blood and pain associated with it. They really really work on your cuticles. Like obsessively until you bleed. Two of my finger bleed and one toe. She got my toe really good I couldn't help but to yell ow! and flinch. Also. They gave massages to people getting manicures. But for some reason me and someone else didn't get one. The lady next to me got three by three different people. I asked if you have to pay extra and was told no. I really think 1 star is more than enough. I went in with my mother and daughter before a big Make-A-Wish vacation. The charged full price for an 11 year old kid. They were not at all gentle. Tried to charge mom extra $10 to have heels done (for real!!! $35 should cover it!! ) Did not clean dirt from under nails. Way over priced for an extremely sub par service. If one is going to charge that much the tables should be clean. I was also asked if I had cash from ACROSS the room, in front of a packed salon when paying with a credit card. I saw the signs, have some tact and be professional. We were so rushed out the door I dinged my nails and they were messed up. I didn't even want to return to have it fixed. Traveling on business, so I decided to get my toes done tonight for the weekend. I've never been here before, but I made an appointment for a pedicure. Jane cut my nails too short, cut me twice, and then realized one of her customers got there and rushed through the painting and did it in 1.5 minutes. Just moved in town and heard this salon was good, but when my girlfriend and I walked in, you would of thought we had 3 heads. The tone we were talked to with made me want to go Postal, I guess our African American money was not good enough for them. I do not recommend them, there attitude sucks, and we felt very uncomfortable with the whole setting. We will spend our money elsewhere where we get the respect we deserve. If it was not for my last visit I probably would have given four or five stars, but a few days ago that all changed. A previous review spoke that this shop was racist but it was not until my recent visit I experienced it. I have been to a few nail shops in the area in the search for a permanent nail salon. I thought that Happy Nail Spa was it but I was wrong. I visited Happy Nail Spa about four times and has a positive experience. I enjoyed the cleanliness and work but this last time I was disrespected. I had made an appointment for a fill of my gel overlay on my nails. While on the phone I tried to explain the service that I was requesting the price that I was quoted for a fill of my gel overlay was $30. I did believe at that time that they believed I meant gel polish but what was fine. I would clarify during my visit. When I walked in at my appointment time. I was directed to pick out a color. I wanted gel polish to go over my gel overlay. When I asked if the display in the front was all the gel polishes, she responded "it's $60 dollars with gel polish." Now there are several problems with her response. Was it because I am an African American young women she felt that was out of my price range ?? I have never seen them tell someone a price when they ask a simple question about colors. I noticed during my visits that I did not fill their standard demographic of clients (middle age-older white women) but that never bothered me. What did bother me was the way that she announced the $60 price tag as as though I should beware of it. Now to the price! I understand that you get what you pay for, I get that but if the original gel overlay was put on at a salon for $45 at a salon that has the same "clientele" there is no reason that the fill should be $60. My first time at this nail spa was on Mother's Day with my daughter. We both picked different pedicures but both opted for French. The charge on the sign indicates five dollars additional for french as does their website. They stated it was additional 7 dollars each. I questioned this and pointed out it is advertised as $5. They insisted it was $7 additional. All other places I have been also charge $5 additional for French. The pedicure was OK not bad not great but was turned off by them not acknowledging advertising price was lower. read more

Had a few minutes to get a much needed manicure for Easter Sunday. I walked in and the woman at the counter says "what do you want?" And I replied with "I was hoping to get a manicure." She then says "you have appointment?" No I didn't realize I needed one. she then says no leave we're closed. They had an index sized card taped to the window with chicken scratch writing for the hours. Avoid this place if you don't like asshole nail salons who think they rule the world! read more

Service beyond belief! The staff is always welcoming and friendly. The salon is always so clean. I always get the gel manicure and gel pedicure. It's totally worth the price. They include so many extras that most places don't. The staff amazingly seems to know the names of all their clients. I should have taken pictures to add to this review... I'm from out of town and needed a quick mani/pedi. I asked around at the hotel I was staying in and after going to 2 other shops I decided this one was perfect! I was greeted promptly when I entered and shown the amazing section of gel polishes. I picked a color and started my pedicure with Tony. I opted for the standard pedi and it still came with more services than I'm used to (hot stone, salt scrub, and leg massage). It was great! The mani was the best mani I've ever had, which is surprising because he didn't soak my hands to cut my cuticles. I thought that was weird but I went with it. Also, at least 2 of the other workers who were not working on clients offered to massage my neck and shoulders... Great! If I'm ever back in this area for business and need a mani/pedi I'd come back and ask for Tony! I took one star off because they charge extra if you use a credit card. Weird! They also have an ATM with a $.50 surcharge inside so I just used that and paid in cash. read more

I got a manicure done for the first time in years with my mother a while back and have been dealing with horrible foot fungas since. People have told me since I went near a holiday that they probably didn't clean the foot spas as well since it was completely jammed packed in there. I never like to write bad reviews, but this foot fungas has been giving me a headache for months now and have spent hundreds of dollars on treatments that haven't solved it. Great experience at Happy Nail Spa. The young lady that did my mani/pedi was very detail oriented. She did an excellent job.

This place is horrible. It's clean and they do a fine job but they always overbook. I have had an appointment multiple times and are still left to sit for 20 minutes while watching walk ins that walked through the door in front of me get serviced first. You get charged more if you pay on a card and also can't tip in you card. You are always asked if your a " member " and have never had that explained to me. The best is the shoulder massage after the manicure pedicure. The pedicure and manicure were not worth $69.00 if you pay by credit card -$65.00 if you pay cash. The difference being the sales tax. The paint job was not good. Thin nail polish - probably because they add acetone to polishes to get more out of bottle. The results thin streaky polish. read more

I have been a regular customer for over a year. While it may be on the pricey side, you get what you pay for. Some of the main reasons why I like this salon...it is very clean, they sterilize their instruments; dedicated boxes for repeat customers; instead of obnoxious loud music, there is tranquil soft background music; TVs are muted - closed captioned; the employees are NOT yelling back and forth with each other (I hate it when they do it at other salons and you don't understand their language, they're probably talking about you!). I get a professional manicure (ask for Alex) that always looks perfect and lasts longer than ones I got at other salons; they'll give you a neck and shoulder massage while your nails are drying and complete the manicure with a hand massage and hot rock treatment. This is the only place I goto for getting fake gel nails because I know my nails will come out looking fantastic no matter what. The owner or Annie does my nails, they're both skilled and experienced. They remember who I am and my name which is nice :). Also during Christmas time they give out a gift to every customer. Didn't even want to leave 1 star. Th owner sits behind the desk and is not helpful. Had a pedicure and the young man hurt. Clipp d my skin and it bled. He said sorry and didn't even lift his head. This place is amazing. Was in town for a friend's wedding and we stopped in to get pampered. The bride got a manicure and pedicure and I got a manicure. She said that the pedicure was amazing and relaxing with the hot stone. Both of our manicures were done by Annie and, OMG she is amazing. We both asked for gradation polish and she did not disappoint. Clean, everyone is super friendly an welcoming. First, the name is true. At Happy Nail Salon the staff actually seemed very happy. I didn't feel like I was interrupting their conversation when I opened the door like I do at other places. I felt instantly welcomed. The salon is very clean. The TVs were thankfully turned off and they had music playing. I was greeted immediately at the door and my coat was taken and put on the rack for me. They offered tea/water and then offered again just to make sure when I was settled in the massage chair. I had the spa pedicure, which was on the pricier side at $50, but you absolutely get what you pay for. It includes delights such as callous remover, exfoliator, cuticle/nail stuffs, lower leg massage followed by a hot stone massage and, of course the polish. Tony's foot/leg massage was outstanding. The entire pedicure was outstanding. This place really understands that when people go to a salon they want to be pampered and not just processed. I'll be back. Oh, and note that you can't add a tip if you pay with your credit card. You'll need to bring cash in for the tip. read more
