I had a really disappointing experience at this salon. The quality of the service was poor from the start -- I asked for a specific style, but the nail tech completely ignored my request and did what she wanted instead. Out of 10 nails, 5 were chipped within just 7 days. That's unacceptable for a powder dip, especially when I've had this same service done with the previous owners. Mid you i left a $10 even after she handed me off to her husband whom was huffing and puffing as well as doing whatever HE wanted to do. When I came back to speak with them about getting it fixed, the same tech who messed it up in the first place raised her voice at me -- not sure what she said, but it was unprofessional and uncomfortable. The man who attempted to help me kept asking questions that had nothing to do with my actual complaint and repeated himself multiple times, confusing the issue even more. His excuse for the chipping? That they "only do two passes because it's clear." That's nonsense -- I've been getting clear powder dip for years, and that is simply not standard practice. It felt like I was being gaslit the entire time. To the new owners (7 months in): customer service and quality matter. If this is how you handle feedback, good luck -- you're going to need it. Furthermore, I don't appreciate the attitudes when I' paying MY money and not asking for anything outlandish. My request was extremely simple. if i could leave 0 stars i would .. never going back here .. i've been going for years but this is the first time i decided to get my nails done. the photo speaks for itself , i was there for hours and no one could seem to do a proper french tip , no matter how much i let the tech know it wasn't what i wanted .. it's sloppy, a mess, looks like a child did it. don't even bother going, customer service isn't good. when i asked for my nails to be redone , the original person just removed the polish and said he wasn't doing it. save your money, find another salon. read more

Earlier this week I needed a Black Mani so dropped by again before closing. I'm updating review since receiving so many compliments, which I found cool since my nails are only black lol Thank you CoCo! The consistency from KK Nails is wonderful! I've returned to this salon multiple times for mani/pedi over the last few months and couldn't be happier. I've even begun to see improvement in my nails! Which is super important since cutting them down after using builder gels and acrylics. They have a good selection of colors, noticeable gels and powders etc. I haven't tried other services yet but anticipate too. Maybe waxing next? lol read more

The only nail salon in East Hartford open on Sundays so I got my nails done by there "best man", he knows how to attach and build acrylic nails but after that he did anything he wanted, he started off a very square set, then i asked for a coffin shape he said "extra five dollars" I said ok, seeing as the price was $35 for a full set im like $40 ok not so bad, I STILL LEFT WITH SQUARE NAILS and was charged for the shape and they charged for tip, did not leave it up to me they just took it. I was going to leave a $10 tip but they charged it in my full price, they took $8 and I left with square nails and paid $50+ he only did two layers of polish and my nails were see threw. read more

I stopped by to get my acrylics removed and not only was it very unsanitary, but they did a horrible job removing the nails. First, they tried using some sort of card that they clearly had used before on other people to shove under the nail and try to get it off. After asking to soak them off, they put my nails in some container thing that held maybe acetone? Whatever it was, it was disgusting and definitely had been sitting out and had been used by multiple other people. I left with some white stuff all over my nails and my nails were all broken and gross. I do not recommended at all and wish I had a picture to show. Barely deserves one star. read more

This was an amazing experience. We came 30 minutes before they closed and they still gave us the best! The paraffin pedicure is awesome. Leaves your feet feeling fabulous and soft! This was the worst salon I've been to. Got acrylic here and the acrylic was stuck in my cuticles, all my nails were uneven and the polish was clumpy. Had to go out the next day to a different salon to get them fixed. Couldn't even be bothered to go back to them to fix them. Just horrible. read more

I scheduled a pedicure at this location because I wasn't pleased with a pedicure I received at a different location. I would have given this place 5 stars had it been a bit cleaner. I've been here twice. Once over a year ago and last month. My experience the first time was great with my friend. Now as for last month, not only were my nails terrible but the people were very rude. 1. My right thumb was shaped at a slanted angle, because he rushed doing my nails and by time I looked and realized, a new person, a girl already painted them. 2. I asked the new lady to nicely fix it because the slant was very noticeable. So she said to just let my nails dry and then she'd fix them. 3. She told me my nails were dry and tried filling them again and smudged the paint on my thumb. I wasn't upset and she apologized and wiped off my polish and tried to file my nails correctly. 4. I asked over 10x to file them more uniformly because the slant was so bad. 5. Mind you, I was never rude and apologized for asking them to keep filing. My thumb nail is a pretty good length and it was completely filed slanted! She did a horrible polish job on my right hand!! She rushed on my right hand by not bringing the polish all the way to the sides which I didn't notice until I left. 6. After the lady got fed up I guess with filing, a new girl came. So now this is the third person doing my nails and my goodness she was rude and kept yelling to her co worker next to her and giving me an attitude. She did a pretty good job on my thumb, the slant was finally evened out. Oh and when the new lady repainted my right thumb she had to go find the color I used for my left hand and I told her the one she picked out didn't look exactly like the one I had on because it lacked shimmer but she said it was the right one! That was a lie, which I found out when I got home and showed my aunt. I don't recommend this place. I have a lot of patience but their attitude, lack of organization, professionalism, and good service was horrible! I'm upset I actually tipped before they polished my nails because I left way more than they deserved. read more
