I just wanted to add six years ago I had left my 1st review of "Happy Nails" stating how Henry and his wife had turned the "happy nail salon" around in a good way! It was an amazing salon when Mr. Henry, his wife, and family ran that salon. The community grew to know his family. It was a joy to go and have manicures and pedicures. Obviously, Henry and his amazing family has now sold the salon to someone else. I went to get my nails done. I told the nail tech I wanted traditional square. ZERO shaping. I mentioned 4 times how I didn't like the shape. The tech said "once you add polish on them, the nail will look bigger"???? Proceeds to make my nails tapered square. I paid $100 for these nails. I called the shop the next day & the owner ask why I didn't I say anything & I did! Even to him. 4 times & they kept telling me it was okay?? He said well why didn't you say anything before you left? I did. It was also 7:45pm & they had their kid there & I know they wanted to go home. He said I could get a refund of 50%. I drove over 30 minutes , I get there just for the owner to argue with me and say he can't offer a refund & wouldn't take off the nails. I'll NEVER go here again & I'll NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Bad customer service & zero listening , especially for a customer paying over $100 in services here. read more

I've gone here probably about 7 times now. This place beats all the super expensive places I've gone to too. I brought my mother here once to get a pedicure and she can't wait to go back again. Price is unbeatable for what you get. They work fast. Staff are all super friendly. Everything is clean. I've gotten pedicures, SNS, gel, and acrylic here. Shaping is always great. They listened to me when I said my nails are still extremely sore from the last nail tech from another salon. The last nail tech filed my nails too much thinking it was a fake nail but my nail beds are just naturally long. Happy Nails took very good care of my sensitive nails! My family lives down here so I only get my nails done here when I'm visiting my family. I have never had such a horrible pedicure. She was so rough and didn't realize I kept pulling my feet away. She just grabbed my foot and continued. The next day my big toe was red and swollen from her digging the side of my nail. I would never go back because this was far from a relaxing experienc. read more

I loved the past 3 times I've been to happy nails. I have been in and out in 1 hour and it is perfect. I get a gel pedicure every time I go in. For some reason this time I ended up paying $25 more than I normally get. I get the deluxe every single time. I don't get how it jump $25 in 3 weeks. The lady who normally does my nails only charges me $10 more for gel. I paid $46 total last time. I am so confused. Please don't do your customers wrong. Also, I can get a much more detailed pedicure for $65 in uptown Charlotte so that is just outrageous. I won't be back. read more

I only get manicures here (because regardless if I go to a local salon or upscale spa they cut up my feet), and for the price I feel they do a great job. The ladies there are hardworking, lovely people if you talk to them. It's not the Ritz, but if you're looking for a quick and economical gel manicure this is the place to go. read more

Worst experience I've ever had in 30 years of regular nail services . The owner and his wife are completely rude and unprofessional! While I was there another woman came in complaining that her daughter had ask for something she didn't get and wanted restitution. He refused . I left and will never go back ! I only went cause they were open on Sunday . I picked an SNS color that was not what was represented. Once the owners wife start putting it on and I stated this I'd purple - the sample is nude . She refused saying it will look like it when I get done ! When I said no we have to take it off the one hand u have done she got mad and ranted in Vietnamese for the next hour. When I left I had glue over my fingers my nails are misshapen. There were hunks of glue under my nails. NOT HAPPY ! A terrible place .She was awful ! Awful customer service! They tried to charge me $20 for my 6yo to get gel polish only. Once I questioned it, after they talked amongst themselves they dropped the price to $18 and basically laughed at me . Thus was polish only. I wouldn't be soi upset if they had done a manicure or something. There was nothing other than polish. read more

My mom and I used to go to this place all the time but I almost feel like they are under new ownership. I went to go get a matte black SNS manicure. The lady who did my nails didn't bother to trim my cuticles and finished my manicure within 20 minutes. As you can tell from the pictures it was quite bad. I don't really like complaining about services but I had to turn around and go back because I was so unsatisfied. The lady told me they looked perfect despite me showing her the black all around the nail and then proceeded to tell me that the black on the skin is normal with SNS. She took polish remover to my skin but there were spots she couldn't get out. She then started to clip my skin off where the spots were. I had to tell her to just stop. Another man ended up buffing my nail and putting a black shiny gel polish over it but it definitely took me having to push the issue. Will most definitely not be returning and I wouldn't recommend others to go either. read more

I went to this place once about a year ago. I had a gel mani and regular pedi done. When I went home, I chipped one! And I barely lift an item! I went right back to get it repaired for free since I felt that it was the quality of work. I explained the situation. They responded to me that I must have done something to it! They would not repair for free! I had to pay them an additional $7 just to repair a nail that they didnt even do right to begin with! I have never had a gel manicure that broke at all until then and after. read more

I have been coming to Happy Nails fairly often over the last 3 years. I usually always have gone on the weekends but, I went during the day last Tuesday and had the worst experience I've ever had. I have even had my finger infected from this salon (I know I should've not gone back then) and chose to go back because I genuinely enjoyed my experiences. I don't know if they have different people during the week or got entirely new people there but, I not only was given the incorrect SNS color on my nails but, I asked to be given a manicure for my cuticles and the lead lady cut me not once but twice to the point I was bleeding and in pain. Now, not even two weeks my nails look terrible. I have never in my life not enjoyed an experience nor have never not tipped but, I will never be going back to this salon. read more

The customer service was TERRIBLE!! The girl I was with was probably in her mid twenties. My nail was messed up and she just painted right over the nail. Did it even bother to take the polish off. The flip flop bin had trash in it. My nail tech didn't even talk to me. She asked me what shape I wanted and I said coffin, but then she said it would be $5 dollars extra to change the SHAPE of a nail. I do not suggest going to this nail Salon. Was not impressed with this place. I moved here 5 years ago and can't seem to find a good place to go. Tired this place with my mom who was visiting. They only had two employees working at 3 o'clock on a Thursday afternoon. One girl was bouncing back and forth between me and my mom doing our manicures at the same time. Worst. Experience. Ever. If i could do 0 stars i would! My friends and I wanted to try a new place, with more reasonable prices. We found this place and thought it would be perfect. I got a full set and it looked okay when i left, but by that night 2 nails had already come off. I was so mad, it seemed as if they were all loose and had very terrible quality. The next day another a nail came off. I went back 3 days after and they made me get another full set, for FULL price. I was livid. I got them done for the second time thursday, and 2 of my nails have come off again! It's only saturday!
