So I hired Happynest Laundry services (for clothing and bedding) while waiting to move, and I LOVE it. I put them in trash bags outside my door, they picked up on a Thursday and dropped off, washed and folded, on Friday. I have another pickup scheduled for this week. They also allow you to customize wash preferences, such as temperature and detergent and notification preferences via email, text or in-app, with pictures! For my two bags worth, I paid $52.89 plus a $10 tip for the driver. SOOOO worth it! And I put my clothes away right away! Usually they stay folded in a basket. I highly recommend this service! I had weekly pickups for 5 months with HN. For the most part, things were fine. However, twice my laundry came back scented even though my standing instructions are "no scented products". The first time was only the 2nd or 3rd pickup I had. I got in touch with customer service and although they're really slow to respond and use AI to write their wandering emails, they apologized for their mistake and credited me for the bag of laundry so I could have the items rewashed. The second time it happened, customer service (which uses the name Collin), insisted the scent must be from "residual sanitizer in the machine", which sounded pretty far-fetched considering I know what detergent smells like and that I have received no fewer than 20 loads back that were unscented. I don't think it was a coincidence that Colin's super slow response, defensiveness, and reluctance to issue a refund or offer any recompense occurred during the same timeframe Happy Nest discontinued service in my area. read more

I use the one that services National Harbor. BUYER BEWARE: If you have fragrance allergies, DO NOT use this service. I wish someone had given me this advice. I've had repeated discussions with HappyNest regarding my lung issues and my need to be fragrance free. When this happens I put the laundry in an enclosed room until the fragrances leave the clothing. The straw for me was returning home from the hospital (lung issues) and finding the laundry full of fragrances ($50.00 wasted). I sent them a text canceling my account. A few days later, I notice a $10.00 charge. When I spoke to the manager I was informed this was a no show penalty. I advised her that in light of the fact that I canceled there should be no charge. She stated that the $10.00, would be refunded. She explained that even though they use non-perfumed products, the facility is heavily perfumed and therefore, there is transference. When I requested a refund for the second bag, I was told that they would not because my bag was not fully closed and that warranted me being charged for two full bags. They used to be reasonable when they would often lose items. They would credit a small amount back to the customer's account. They no longer do this and the attitude seems to be "sh@t happens" oh well. Not only that but they charged me over $80 for one load of laundry! It was difficult for me to carry one bag and so I split my load into two separate bags and I told them ahead of time. They refuse to correct their error! Last time they did. I am so confused about their pricing. It started at 15.99 a bag and just jumped to 30.00 a bag PLUS a service fee. I went over my back invoices and I've paid as much as 42.00 per bag. I cannot get a straight answer from customer service but it's REALLY REALLY bad business to have the prices change at a whim and not alert customers. They were once late on a delivery, which I was OK with, but then charged me a fee because I cancelled the NEXT pick-up because it was now too close to my last service. Laundry van was stolen after items on 10/19/22 were picked up 2. HappyNest notifies customers 48 hours after theft occurs 3. No correspondence for nearly 10 days 4. Police report is filed by company for van and not for stolen clothing, thus making it impossible to file claim through renters or homeowners insurance for affected customers 5. Company requests itemized list of stolen items to submit to insurance company with a promise of a check being mailed to customers in "just a few days" 6. 10 more days pass 7. Upset customers contact local media to get company to respond to stolen items that have received no acknowledgment nor reimbursement 8. Local media contacts company for a quote and is told that the laundry has been found 9. Hours later, generic email is sent to HappyNest's victims saying laundry will be returned, with no mention of.... -if all items on itemized lists were recouped -if items are damaged in any way -if customers will be charged to clean these items -if the items were initially stolen by an employee of the company -health and safety risks associated with towels, bedding, and undergarments lost in one of the most dangerous cities in the world for 3+ weeks -where items where found -how to obtain a copy of a police report if there was no mention of stolen items -how to gain reimbursement for the essentials that had to be replaced in 3+ weeks -what the facility manager has done with our insurance reimbursement checks that were supposedly processed and issued 10 days ago -how the company plans to repair the relationships with their victims after continually dropping the ball week after week after week at the customers expense AVOID UTILIZING COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I was extremely pleased with the Happy Nest service. My sister, who lives in Central Falls is disabled and needed some assistance with getting her laundry done as well as help with the financial considerations around it. Happy Nest's website makes it very easy to set up an account. I had called before setting up the service and spoke to the manager, who was wonderful to work with and extremely helpful. She gave me tips for the setting up of our service account. It was extremely easy to schedule pick ups, enter my billing info online and add in special instructions for pick up. They provide a wonderful service. After setting up an account you get a Welcome Kit (within just a few days) and instructions on bagging up your laundry for pick up. In your account you can also state preferences for types of detergent, fabric softener and drying. I was really impressed about their attention to detail and special needs. The first pick up had a few small issues (timing communicated was off, new driver who didn't read instructions) but the manager was extremely communicative with my sister and I. Although they ended up picking up later in the day, they still turned around the clean laundry the next morning. The manager was also kind enough to provide a rebate on my first invoice to compensate for the inconvenience. Having your laundry done with pick up and delivery service can sometimes be a necessity (disabilities, illnesses, life in general getting in the way.) Happy Nest made this service simple, worry free, convenient and affordable for my sister and I during a difficult time. Pricing is extremely fair and there was no issue with my entering my billing credit card even though the service was for my sister. We tried Happynest recently while in the middle of a home addition which temporarily prevented us from using our washer and dryer. I put the laundry outside in two laundry hampers and a beach bag but it came back in plastic bags and the hampers and bag were not returned to me. We also lost a shirt belonging to my husband and who knows what else. Someone else's two shirts were returned instead. The laundry was clean but felt hard as if no softener had been used. When I went to the app to let them know there was no help section or easy way to contact the company. The whole thing cost just over 100 dollars for 45 pounds of laundry but I am down 2 laundry baskets, a beach bag and a shirt. I am very disappointed with the whole experience. The communication is really lacking and when things go wrong it is very difficult to contact them.
