They've been in this same small location about 15 years and we just discovered them today. It's basically a takeout place -- but they do a very big delivery business. They are located on the northwest corner of military and lake worth road. It's in the same strip as the curry and Mexican restaurants. They face lake worth road. We drove by and decided to stop for a quick lunch. There are a few tables inside and a couple counter seats. One of the tables was occupied by two women sharing a hot sub sandwich. They told me this was the best place for pizza and that the restaurant has some of the best food around. That was encouraging. You order at the counter and then they deliver the food to our table. We paid at the counter after we finished eating. We both ordered their lunch special -- two slices of pizza and a drink. We helped ourselves to a can of soda from the cooler (mainly Pepsi products) and their chili flakes, salt, cheese, and garlic containers on the counter. They brought out our slices one at a time -- each piping hot from the oven. A bit of oil on top of the cheese. Considering we didn't get any toppings, it really was a very very good slice. The cheese made it. They have many other things on the menu besides pizza -- appetizers, subs, salads, Italian specialties, etc. We had a nice chat with the owner as we were paying. He said he stands by his food. He's very happy to have had consistently good reviews from his loyal base of customers. And he's not planning on going anywhere or expanding. So if you're craving a slice or more some lunch time and you're in the area... you should try them.

They've got both indoor and outdoor seating, and from the moment you walk in, it just feels really welcoming and homey. The pizza was definitely the highlight. The dough was soft but still had that perfect crunch, and it tasted so good I honestly could've eaten the whole thing. I got the vodka pizza with pepperoni, and it had just the right amount of spice. Even the ranch stood out it has a hint of mint, which I didn't expect to like, but it actually works and pairs really well with the pizza. Easily one of the best pizzas I've had around here.

That being said, we did do takeout, which may have affected the experience. We ordered the vodka pizza, white pizza, beet salad, and Caesar salad. If I had to pick a standout dish, it would be the beet salad. The citrus paired so nicely with the beets and avocado, and the dressing was great. The Caesar was standard, and the pizzas were really nothing special at all. I was so bummed because I really wanted to give this place five stars. I'm in no rush to come back, but if I do, I'll try dining in instead of takeout. Always willing to give a spot another shot.

The soups were regular, standard Italian restaurant faire and the salad was tiny and really disappointing. The snapper franchise was cooked properly, but the sauce was a watery broth. Sausage and peppers can be a really wonderful dish or a giant sloppy mess. On this night, it was a giant sloppy mess. Really disappointing. Lots of sausage, that must be from the pizza station. Really lacking in peppers, onions, or mushrooms and a very lackluster sauce. But there certainly was copious amounts of sauce. The steamed vegetables that came with a fish dish were well prepared and still crunchy. The cheesecake for dessert was standard and regular stuff, nothing exceptional. Definitely not homemade. Overall, very mediocre meal. We showed up about 7:30 and by 8:15 The service staff was already starting to work on their closing duties. It is extremely unprofessional and annoying to have people picking up Parmesan shakers and stacking chairs while in mid meal.
