I don't know where to begin, but it's since we walked in. I knew this was gonna be a big hit the ambience, and all of the antiques were absolute incredible and so much fun. It brought me back to my childhood. We were greeted by a very tall guy and looked like the manager. He was so much fun and really, really nice and then our server Sarah, came over. She was a hoot and a half made some suggestions, told us what to get these were her favorites and it was a home run ball hit out of the park.. We started with the pretzel and the bear cheese. Absolutely delicious, the pretzel was very light and the bear cheese had so much flavor to it. Three of us got burgers that were absolutely mouthwatering you bite into it and you went. oh yes, one bite burger!! This is the place to go. My girlfriend got a grilled chicken sandwich. It was absolutely delicious and the chicken she said was seasoned perfectly. Just sitting there, looking all around, brought us back to our childhood the antiques on the ceiling on the wall on the table every direction was so much fun. Tried the Dixie Grill & Brewery today--such a fun place with retro lunchboxes and kiddie cars hanging from the ceiling. We ordered burgers (big and tasty!) and the pulled pork sliders on pretzel buns with beer cheese--fantastic. Daniel was the sweetest. Service is always great. I have been in there for drinks for maybe 5 times in past year and most recently twice for food and drinks. I have been greeted by the tell nice gentleman that's usually there (maybe manager), horrible with names and the nice lady with a short name who is always at the bar, usually leaves around 3 pm ish. Food is good and fresh, love that they have a doggie menu and that they are allowed. Brought in my standard poodle who's well behaved and she loved the mini burger I think it lasted 5 seconds to devour. read more

We ordered the 6 wings (mango habanero, fried), fried gator and Nachos. The wings needed seasoning despite the sauce on them but had to suffice with adding salt. The fried gator was more breading than gator and I wasn't too crazy about the flavor of the breading. The nachos however were good, the different flavors complimented each other nicely. They are dog friendly and even have a dog menu so my fur pup had an order of grilled chicken breast which she devoured in under a minute, must have been good. read more

I went with friends to the Dixie Grill & Bar after a visit to the Norton Museum. It was awesome. Everybody ordered different style burgers and I had the Ahi tuna appetizer on small toast bites. They were seasoned nicely and eat bit was a taste sensation. I could have had another round. We heard that day, that the original owner had passed away and the staff were having a memorial for him that night. The atmosphere is home-town casual with fun memorabilia around the interior. I would definitely recommend it as a stop when in West Palm. The food presentation was very nice inadditon to tasting really good. read more

My friends and I were ravenous. We were looking for food FAST, something that everyone would love, that wasn't really a chain. We were in the area, and I did a quick Google Maps look and found "Dixie Grill & Bar" This place was everything we could've hoped for in that moment. We were feeling very nostalgic with all the decor around, it was EVERYWHERE. The service was good. Nothing special, average, which is what we wanted. We were hungry, not looking to be bothered a million times, just wanted to eat and enjoy conversation. The menu was wonderful. I loved how many options there were. I got the Mahi Mahi sandwich, with the fish grilled. I substituted the regular French fries for sweet potato fries, and they give you a side of marshmallow fluff to dip! I had never been anywhere where they do that, and it tasted like a dessert! It was sooooo delicious! Time passes. Problems in the kitchen do too. My last couple of visits to Dixie Grill have been rewarded with quality food, great service and its legendary kitschy ambiance. They make one of the best burgers in the county. I'd say "hands down" but if your hands are down, you're not eating! Great beer selection. Decent bar. The only thing a bit disappointing are sky high prices. As of September 2025, the wholesale cost of ground beef in Florida ranges from approximately $3.00 to $4.00 per pound, depending on factors like fat content and quality. This is a significant increase from previous years, with prices reaching a record high of $6.32 per pound in August 2025, driven by reduced cattle inventories and increased production costs. That being said 1/2 lb which is about the size of their burgers are, is worst case about $3.16. The other is themselves have not skyrocketed either. Cooking is no different than last year in terms of price all in a very profitable Berger runs about $10-$12, and they are selling them for between $16 and $24. M never let it be said the restaurants don't try to capitalize on the perception of increased prices. Dive bar, with Palm Beach island prices. Just went back for the first time in probably 5 years and still has all the same feels. Met up with a friend staying in the area for work, and wanted to choose somewhere that would be low key, conveniently located and good for my difficult toddler and this worked out perfectly. Everyone enjoyed their food and beers, and when my 2 year old wanted to get up and check out all the "toys" (antiques affixed to the ceiling), we took a look around inside, then ran around the vacant space next door, while the rest of my party ate on the patio. The waitress was a little off, as she proceeded to confidently hand the bill to my husband despite being a group of adults that were unrelated. But other than that, Dixie hit all the marks as far as what we chose it for and definitely good for bringing small children, between all the fun stuff to look at inside and the ability to be able to walk around outside. read more

Dixie' Grill and Bar is a Palm Beach County hidden gem. They are known for insanely good burgers and wings. They brew their own beer and have plenty of guest beers on tap as well. The ambience is a cool hodge podge of random decorations and has a dive bar type feel. The dining area is small, as is the bar area, but that helps it maintain the feel of a true locally owned dive spot. I got the Dixie Signature Burger cooked mid-rare with an over easy egg on top. This was seriously one of the best burger's I've ever eaten. You could taste the quality of the meat and other ingredients working exceptionally well together. The pretzel bun was chewy and held up to the weight of the burger well. The fries were always clearly freshly made and hand cut. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Everything was excellent! In keeping with the rest of the review, the service was fantastic. The bartender asked my name when I sat down, and used it throughout my visit. So, let me tell you about this little hidden gem..... It's so quaint and perfect. Such a refreshing find. The eclectic decor is just a wonderful thing. Every old time lunchbox you could find (I saw an I Love Lucy- what will you find? ) Trust me, take the time to look. There's also many pictures and intimate little sayings that will bring back your childhood memories and it's truly just brilliant. I suddenly traveled back through time, to a simpler day and age. Is there even a price tag for that??? I'm all about ambiance. This made for a special day. The food is, oh so good! Comfort food. We couldn't get enough and ordered to-go and will be back again tomorrow. I only could not give 5 stars because with the beer flight some beers were a great temp, cold but some were warmer. But the staff truly cares here. So hard to find in this day and age where no one wants to work. Here, they give 100%. Donna, the manager treats the place so much like her own, we were convinced she was surely the owner. Please go. And go again! I know we will. For sure. You can sit inside or outside. Outside is great for a beautiful, not overly warm day. Today it had been rainy and windy and much cooler and definitely jacket needed. But you won't get the full experience unless inside. My advice? Go on off hours. Not full lunch or dinner time. I'm only guessing you'd be sure to wait. We went around 2:00. Perfect time to miss the lunch and dinner rush. We first went to sit outside. One family ahead of us. Outside was way too windy to enjoy a hot meal. But two tables were getting up and boom. We were in. This is a well oiled machine. I don't usually write reviews, but my experience at Dixie bar & Grill, deserves one--especially thanks to our amazing server- Abbie!!! She was absolutely phenomenal: friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish. Her energy was infectious, and she had such a natural way of making sure everything was perfect without ever hovering. The black & blue (my fav!) and the signature, CHEFS KISS! And let me just say--the virgin Shirley Temple she brought me was the best I've ever had. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, with just the right amount of fizz and cherry goodness, along with the beer which my Hubby enjoyed. This should be an awesome pitstop on the way to and from any event or place in West Palm Beach or south of it. I think the standards are low from owner top down--the food comes from frozen or is not prepped correctly to save money and it shows. What a great little local place!!! Rachel was my server at the bar and was greeted quickly and as I was by myself I found a nice spot at the bar. She was quick to greet and get me menus along with a nice ice cold glass of water on a hot day!!! She was pleasant and attentive to a busy bar. Lots of local beers to choose from which I always appreciate when I travel. So look them over and try one out. The menu is solid with all different food choices so take your time and look it over. I had a burger which was massive. Bring your appetite. I also watched a lot of food coming out from the kitchen (quickly I may add) and the portion sizes are generous. Back to my burger. Massive. In reference to food safety mentioned in previous review... We witnessed our waitress take the plates off of our table and return them to the shelf of clean plates. You can not take plates, utensils or food that other customers touched and allow another customer to use... That's food safety 101 We came during lunch hours. Only seating that was available was outdoor but thankfully a party was leaving and gave us their table. Waitress came and washed it with a wet towel and of course left it to air dry. Service was mediocre. Waitress wasn't friendly or welcoming. Dropped the wings down on the table and when we asked the flavor she replied as if we were supposed to differentiate them ourselves. I think she was ready to go home. Food: Burgers were dry. Burnt on the outside and pink on the inside. Turn down the heat on the grill please. Mahi had zero flavor. Cheese sticks look better than they taste. All the batter comes off when you pick them up. Best thing: French fries $107 later... not satisfied. read more
