Terrible place if you have a doodle. The groomer told me to take my dog home to take out the mats myself or she would just shave him down where the skin would show. I wish I could give this experience a -100! I want to note that I have taken my dog to this groomer before - but surely won't ever again. I questioned the extra fee they were trying to bill me for because it had been 3 months since I was there.... and things went downhill quickly from there. They texted me back saying I had thirty minutes to get my dog or they would bill me additional fees for being late. I left work and ran over to get my dog... I said I didn't agree with the charge and the lady at the front desk became absolutely belligerent. I asked to see my dog's haircut before I paid and she started whipping my (toy poodle) around and said I could see her from there. I asked that she hand me my dog so I could see her properly and she started screaming at me telling me I was trying to steal... she threw my dog roughly back in the kennel and told me I could call the police from outside the store. The police came and I got my dog back who was terrified and cowarding. Her top knot was a mess! Overcut in the front and not tapered in the back at all - and her ear was uneven which added to the disappointment of this whole experience. The officer said he wouldn't trust them to touch my dog again. I have never in my life been treated so horribly by ANY company and I have never had a groomer manhandle my tiny dog like a rag doll while insulting me (a returning customer and good tipper) EVER!!! I am absolutely DISGUSTED. Seeing other reviews and the owner/manager verbally attacking anyone who had a bad experience, only makes this even more disturbing. I would warn against using this groomer for several reasons. 1. Hidden fees without upfront notification 2. Almost impossible to communicate - they don't answer the phone they only text 3. Customer service is non-existent - I still can't believe this happened and I literally had to call the Sherriff to retrieve my dog! The way the lady at the desk manhandled my dog in front of me, gives me extreme concern as to how she was treated in my absence!!! I am looking for a new groomer, one with customer service skills, good communication, and one that doesn't abuse the animal in front of or behind the owner's back. read more

We have been taking Goose here for 2 years ever since we got him as a puppy. Sarah and her team are tremendous! He always comes home like a brand new dog and just seems healthier, overall, after a visit with them. When I pick him up he is always calm and content so I know he has had a great afternoon with them. I recommend them highly. read more

I have been taking my dogs here for about 2 years since the new owners took over. I was a little nervous because they had been going to the same groomer their whole lives and now they are little seniors. All of their appointments have had no issues. I started going to this placed based on prior reviews, but now see it was a different owner that warranted those reviews. Not this one! I strongly recommend you find another groomer rather than go to this place. I left my dog at 7:45am for his appointment. I was told 4-5 hours. At 12:30 I reached out and was told they were running behind. No comment about my dog's condition causing this issue. About 45 minutes later, they said he's finally on the finishing table but he's matted so it will take longer and it will cost more. One hour later, they text me he's done but it will cost $170, when the price is $85. They doubled the cost. If he was this bad and they were working on him the whole time, then why wasn't that the response at 12:30? And why did they only know he was matted and would require additional time at 1:17 when he had been there since 7:45 and they supposedly had been working on him all this time? I'd like to see a video of the workspace. Did he sit in his crate most of the day? There is no explanation that makes sense more than 6 hours. And If he was so matted (that they only noted at 1:17, how was he done less than 45 minutes later? My recommendation - steer clear of this place. read more

My dog has been in there for almost 6 hours now and she's not done yet. What the heck is going on? This place used to be so amazing with the old owners. I cannot even stand being at the salon for 6 hours! My dog is probably so hungry, thirsty and exhausted from all the environmental stimulation- and she probably needs to pee!! This location used to be Purrfect Paws. Sadly, it appears to be under new ownership. First off, they informed me that the price went up from $75 to $85 for my Goldendoodle. Second, my poor dog was there from 10am until almost 3:00 pm! If you want a shorter appointment, that would be an additional $15 charge. They did not start on her until almost 1:30pm! When I picked her up, they decided to charge me $100, instead of $85, because she had a little matting on her ears! This has never happened to me before with my dog. This should have been part of the normal grooming price. Not only did I get ripped off an extra $15 - and had to cough up $100 for a grooming that used to cost $75, but my poor dog was there for nearly 5 hours! If you care about your dog and your wallet, avoid this groomer!! read more

Very frustrated and hard to plan your day when you drop your dog off at 9:30 am and he's not ready until 4 pm. I called after five hours and the groomer wouldn't give me an answer when he would be ready. Four hours is the typical time frame for a cut there. After more than six hours and having the price increase twice since January is a deal breaker. I've been a customer for three years and the shop has changed hands for the worse. It's hard to know for sure what goes on behind closed doors. Dog came home with sores which seemed like rough brushing. She has only been here as a puppy and I found out they were muzzling as she was deemed ferocious. 10 lbs 10 months old and I will be looking for new place. To be fair, the end result looked nice but should for $70 every 4 weeks and they suggested every 3 weeks . Hopefully you have a different experience. All the good ratings are for a different owner and Yelp should show this as a new business. read more

Incredibly rude staff person. After setting an appointment, I was asked to fill out an online profile, but my information was rejected repeatedly saying that "I already had a profile filed with this company" and that my email address wasn't valid." When I called to explain, the person treated me very aggressively and kept asking questions like "did you put in the right address?," "did you spell everything properly," "did you put in a password?" After several attempts that all were rejected by the form, she angrily asked me again whether I had provided the information needed. When I told her I had completed and entered the information for the 7th time, I finally asked her if she thought I was an idiot, she said, "I don't like how you talked to me; I think I'll just cancel your appointment." I certainly don't ever want someone who gets this angry so quickly to ever be alone with my dog. From the other reviews, it looks as though they are abusive to their clients, both human and canine. I would stay far away from this place if you love your pets. read more

Plus, there are two negative reviews for PP and it would bring down the 5 stars to 3 stars maybe. PP goes through lots of people. Maybe because they don't have any training, yet the owner still has most of the dogs brought in done by these inexperienced people and gives them instructions as they work on the dog! I-YI-YI! Greetings: I was quoted $85 per dog on the phone at booking. I dropped both dogs off at 8:30am. I was told the dogs would be ready at 2:30pm. I received a text message at 4:15pm that my dogs were ready. I arrived to pick up my dogs and was told my bill was $250. I asked for an itemization of the bill and the groomer refused to provide up front, indicating that it would come to me text/email after I paid. I hesitated paying as I was trying to understand the rationale. The groomer indicated that she would call the police if I did not pay right away. I received my itemized bill and I was charged $95 per dog (not $85 as indicated) and I was charged $15 per dog for additional handling fee - a nontraditional fee not charged elsewhere, and not told to me upfront (or as the handling abnormalities were occurring). There was small sign on wall of the store indicating this may apply - without a detailed description of what this was nor the fee amount. I was also charged $15 per dog for longer than 8 week between cut fee. Again, a nontraditional fee, not told to me upfront when I dropped the dogs off (note: the groomer indicated that exceeding a 8 weeks between cuts was something she could just determine by sight). Again, there was a small sign at the back of the store indicating this fact without a description and without a fee amount. This groomer had a duty to adhere to the price as quoted and to notify me prior to charging me additional fees on the back-end. This appears illegal behaviour and I will be writing to the BBB and reporting this matter, I suggest others with similar experiences do the same. Please note, the groomer also shamed me for not cutting my dogs within 8 week period - I go to multiple groomers so the groomer had no evidence of this and was out of place in shaming me or offering her opinion on my choice to keep my dogs hair cared for and a little bit longer. read more

You can characterize it however you want, but when you kept our dog for 6 1/2 hours and disingenuously contend you were working on him the whole time, you are not a company that we can recommend to anyone. Anyone who can read will see a number of similar experiences where you blame the owners after they have had an unacceptable experience with you. Are all those owners wrong? Highly doubtful. As for your comments about lengthy discussions, that's simply false. You also falsely represent that you previously charged $75 fee. Not accurate. You say you have 100s of happy Doodles. I challenge that, as both your reviews on Yelp and a local doodle page contradict that. You say you do it for them? What keep them in cages all day while you say you're taking care of them the whole time? You cannot advertise $85 and then unilaterally decide to double the cost. Again, if he was so matted, why wasn't something said earlier in the day? Your message at 12:27 simply says you're running behind. Nothing about matting. It was only after my wife asked why is he just getting brushed out (when you would discover any mats) at 1:17 that you then said he was knotted and that it would take you extra time, and he was finished 50 minutes later. Your story doesn't withstand scrutiny. I hope our reviews help others see how your business operates. We don't typically leave reviews, but how you conduct business is so unacceptable that we felt we had to share our experience with others. read more

MY DOG IS AT THE ER BECAUSE OF THIS PLACE STAY FAR AWAY! We picked up our 6 month puppy and 5 year old and a 3 year old the 3 & 5 are fine but they hurt my baby.. they said they needed to "dominate our 6 month 20 pound puppy" because he was scared and trying to move. Well hello it was his first groom, mind you he was only getting a face trimming and bath! Not even a groom! I get home to see him after hearing he was lethargic and unusual since picking him up from this place and he vomits blood all over the carpet. I took my sweet Cairn Terrier there and I was so pleased. My pup had been groomed previously by another company. I needed to let her hair grow 6 weeks before she had anything to work with. The team of groomers here were so sweet with her and really did an exceptional job with Sophie's bad haircut. She left looking great in my eyes. It will take another cut to get her back looking like a Cairn. I will return to this grooming salon WITHOUT hesitation and will recommend them to anyone looking for a groomer. DONT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE! I had been bringing my dog here for several years but since it switched Ownership it has been nothing but terrible experiences. It started with the fact that I have a German shepherd mix, dropped him off to get cleaned and trimmed up and his legs shaved and came back and his entire body with shaved. Everyone knows you're not supposed to shave this type of fur! Decided to try them again and the lady completely butchered his haircut. I was not happy with the results at all. Not to mention her awful attitude! Haven't been back for about a year. Tried to give them another shot yesterday and the lady was a complete witch! She did nothing but argue with me, she was rough with my dog, she wouldn't listen to what I was asking them to do, and we left. No way in hell I would leave my dog with her! We used Purrfect Paws today, for the grooming of our 2 Samoyeds. It takes some time to fully groom both dogs. That being said, when I picked the dogs up, they looked great and they were both happy. In addition to the grooming, nails were clipped and glands expressed. I am very satisfied with the quality job done by Purrfect Paws and I will continue to take my dogs to them. read more

Don't do it. If you have a dog that requires no grooming (just nail trim, bath, etc) go for it. They loved our dog and she loved it there. No problems with that. We recently moved to the area and wanted to try the local groomer. We have a Goldendoodle and she came back looking like a shaved poodle. Please don't take your dog here for any type of specialty cut, as even her fur wasn't shaved evenly (fur in paws uneven). Again, no issues with safety, but just don't take this risk of your dog getting shaved and looking like someone you don't know. read more

We have been bringing our German Shepherd to Purrfect Paws for about two years. They do the best job on him of any groomers in the area. His fur is more thoroughly cleaned and brushed out. His ears, teeth, glands, and anything else are done cleanly and completely. He arrives home in outstanding shape. We highly recommend them. They love dogs. read more

I've been coming to Purrfect Paws for a few years. I switched from another groomer who consistently messed up each time I had the dogs groomed (didn't open the shop on time, shaved fur - don't shave a Siberian husky! - missed bathing the belly of one dog, etc). Purrfect Paws has done an excellent job each and every time (approximately twice a year for three years, so far)! The dogs are brushed so well that they don't shed for about 2 weeks after their groom. (I own a roomba and use it everyday to manage the daily fur bunnies . . . ) The dogs are super clean, smell great and super soft to the touch! The price for each dog, about $50, is a great deal. My dogs are about 45 lbs each (smaller sized for their breed). Purrfect Paws is conveniently located adjacent to the Home Depot in Morrison; just the next driveway down the road. As you can see I am very sensitive to everything . When I walked through that door it was amazing ! I was able to remove my mask in no time flat ! It was sparkling clean and the service was out of the ordinary . The dogs were groomed in a timely manner . When I picked them up they didn't look apprehensive of being there . They were immaculate.
