I would NEVER GO BACK to Diamond in the Ruff, Nashua. When I went to pick up my dog I sat in the waiting room and could hear a groomer in the next room speaking very harshly to a dog. I leaned over to see what was going on and only could see its tail so I walked over because I was so disturbed by her treatment of this helpless, restrained dog on the table. She saw me watching and completely changed her tone to sound affectionate to the dog but it was obviously a fake show for me. Then she abruptly drew the curtain so I couldn't see any more. When my dog was finally ready ( he had been there way longer than it takes elsewhere) a different groomer brought my dog out. She pointed out a bleeding area on his back leg, in the hock section, and said it was from " brush burn" and happens frequently and would be gone by tomorrow. I have never heard of or seen this after grooming in any of my dogs over multiple decades. I knew for a fact it would NOT be gone by tomorrow, as she said, because of the size of the bleeding area. It took days to heal. The worst thing, though, was that it was on the other leg as well! So if you made one leg bleed from aggressive brushing, wouldn't you go gentler, or use a softer brush on the other leg? This is a small grooming salon and the owner and other groomers must witness and realize that at least 2 of their groomers are mean and/or incompetent. This is totally unacceptable! read more

Worst experience ever. Brought my dog there to be washed. Two days later she ended up with a urinary tract infection and an extremely high fever that led to a one night stay in the emergency room and almost a $2,000 bill. The emergency room said her uti was caused by being in bacteria or not being dried all the way down there. The vets said UTI usually don't cause a fever as high as 106.7. Mystery. Jen offered to pay for it but she never did. She avoids your messages. Never gets back to you. So upsetting I was hoping she was true to her word. You trust your fur babies with groomers and never know what goes on behind closed doors. She seemed like a nice and honest person. read more

Nothing but great things to say about this place! I have a german shepherd/husky mix he's full of energy and love but gets nervous at the groomers and can act out. The staff has taken the time to BUILD A RELATIONSHIP with my dog so he feels comfortable. They're passionate about what they do and truly care about your pets and providing a quality service! read more

Highly recommend Diamond in the Ruff. They do a great job and listen to you on how you want your dog cut. They are pet lovers and I know I am leaving my dog in good hands. My pup comes home looking as handsome as ever! read more

I don't really even know where to start. My husband brought our dog in at 930am for his FIRST appointment with them. He was told it would take about 2 hours. We called at 1:45pm asking for an update. She said she was about to call us and hes basically ready and just to give her 20 more minutes. We did just that... we got there and honestly from the beginning it was just off. She said he was almost done and asked how we wanted the ears cut? My husband already told them. But either way, I said I didn't care... maybe to cut around the ear or whatever was easiest for them because I had a meeting at 2:30. It was 2:05... I said this VERY nicely! Also, I did mention I was nervous it had been so long. I said again, this all very nicely. I think that's FAIR. I think any dog parent would be? He's 12 and his first time there? Heard the front desk lady go into the other room where my dog was... I guess he was finally getting his hair cut aka 4-5 hours later? Telling them how I kept saying I had to leave soon and that I am very upset with how long it took?? I literally never said I was upset. I said I was just getting concerned... I said this all SUPER NICE. As I stood there, I then hear her and the other 2 staff members that were grooming him start talking crap about me. I can't make this up. Having worked in customer service forever. I literally left shaking because I was so upset. Yes NOW I was upset! Saying that it's ridiculous for people to complain and go DIDNT SHE SEE the SIGN that said THEY WERE SHORT STAFFED? They then went on to call me rude... literally a whole rant about me. How I need to wait lol. I literally can't make this up. This was my FIRST TIME HERE!! We moved from BOSTON and our old groomer was the best! This was SO disappointing!! I then called them out on talking crap about me because it was uncomfortable like maybe 8 ft away?! I said I could hear every word and I was nothing but nice and how rude this is. I literally should be able to communicate to a business. Being short staffed is not an excuse to behave that way. Anyways... we got home and it was like he hadn't had water in days. Literally CHUGGED his water. Sorry this is not ok. Normally, I'd feel bad if you're short staffed... but after this, I think this might be another REASON they are. I don't know many people that would work in that environment. Also, If you are keeping dogs in cages for hours to accommodate your schedule... you might need to rethink your communication to customer approach at bare minimum, if not, reduce your schedule. read more
