RIP iPho ????-2022 You were my favorite Vietnamese place in the general area, specifically for pho. You struggled through COVID, and we did what we could to help you, ordering every week or so. We thought you had made it through. Tonight, I called in our usual order and an unfamiliar voice was on the phone; he didn't seem to know the menu very well, filling me with a bit of dread. I arrived to see the banner "grand opening, under new management" and I was scared. I asked if it was same people cooking and was told no, they had made 'some changes'....uh oh. Prices were up...but where are they not these days? I get home to feed the family and my fears were founded. Once bountiful, the pho fixin's were few and far between...easily half what they once were. The broth was....meh. Too disappointed to write further. Goodbye iPho. We loved you. I have been coming here for years!! Under new management and it's just awful!! This is the last time we are going here. What a shame too used to be fantastic. Prices are not worth what you get. This is an okay place for pho. It has a pretty good location on Standiford across from Frontier Town Shopping Center. I've only been here once, but it has it's good and bad points. Overall, I would rate the bowl that I had to be average. It wasn't as hot as it should've been when it came out, but in general, the flavor was good. I was pretty disappointed in the potstickers that I ordered as an appetizer. I could tell that they were handmade, which is awesome, but they were fried so much that they were very hard around the edges and kind of inedible. I had to stop eating them because they hurt to chew. The gentleman that helped me, not sure if he was the owner, was extremely friendly. He was very genuinely excited that I was there and I really like that. Most Asian places I go are very cold when it comes to the customer interaction and give off more of a, get in and get out vibe. So it's certainly a plus when they are warm and inviting. The menu was VERY large. So large in fact that I found it a little difficult to look at. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you'll definitely need time to process if you've never been here before. I mean, they offer burgers, fries, and even burritos. The beverage menu was most of the intimidating part. There were several different categories of beverages, like milk tea and smoothies. Each category had a huge list of styles/flavors that you could get. It takes up a whole wall. One thing, I really liked and would consider getting is some of the merch. You can order the same meal five times and it will taste different each time. The vibe of the restaurant is not welcoming at all. Here's a tip - if you have people eating in your restaurant at 8:30pm - it is unprofessional to start picking up chairs to put on the tables and spraying cleaner on tables when people are trying to eat. read more

The customer service we received today was also excellent and the employee who helped us was very informative and knowledgeable about the menu. Watch your bill, not always but this is the 2nd time I've been overcharged by either if the 2 son's in this place for pho...I particularly dislike it when these guys are questioned and they act like there gonna give you a discount to bring the price as it should be. I came here for a quick Vietnamese sandwich. Unfortunately, I was much disappointed for the quality of an "authentic" Vietnamese sandwich. They are limited to the selection of sandwiches. They only had three.I ordered the barbecue sandwich and the durian smoothie with pearls. The sandwich was lacking in quality. It did not have liverwurst and the bread was not a baguette but it was a Polish bun.also, The smoothie was lacking milkiness. I suppose you can say I got my moneys worth. First time here and I have to say.. way below par. I had the beef pho and it's didn't taste from scratch. It kind of tasted like the pho packet that you just add water to, just very bland. The meat was too tough to chew, the cilantro was old, there was no Thai basil, or soy sauce. I really wanted to like this place because it's close to my house, this a small business and I just adore Pho. If I were looking at reviews, o would want brutal honesty so I had to say this. My sister and I were actually going to leave because it took so long for a server to get to us (not to mention we saw the burgers/burritos and questioned the validity of the place), but he took our orders in just the nick of time. With all of that said, the food came out relatively fast and we were pleasantly surprised. I had the 18-- pho with flank, rare steak, and meatballs; my sis had the shrimp dry noodles. Ingredients were fresh and the meat, although overcooked, was tender. Broth was okay but nothing to really complain about. Shrimp was okay but nothing special either. All in all I've had a lot better Vietnamese food, but I've also had a lot worse. The takeout was delicious and so considerately packed! They put generous helpings of all the works for pho orders (the noodles, meat, bean sprouts, lime, jalapeños, etc) inside boxes and put the broth in separate containers so everything is fresh when you get home. The broth is even secured with plastic wrap and a rubber band on top of the lid. The shrimp spring rolls were tasty, too. We also enjoyed the avocado and lychee smoothies, the second of which was so satisfyingly sweet! This is our favorite pho place. We love coming here for the pho, orange chick plate, fried rice, and chowmein. Everything is good here so definitely try it out. The service is a hit or miss sometimes. If you go later in the day, there's only like 1 or 2 people working and it might take a little longer to get your food. First time trying out iPho and I am hooked. On the way to Get a car wash and I so happened to finally make the stop and here and it was perfect. Greeted immediately when I walked in the door and sat within seconds. The menu isn't your traditional Vietnamese restaurant menu, Everything is in English for ease of ordering. I asked the young lady helping if #30 was pho ga and she's graciously gave me a smile and was like yea, that page had your typical top 5-10 pho options. So i had the Pork spring rolls, #30 chicken noodle soup with rice noodles and a Thai tea. Everything came out very fast as it usually does at a pho spot and it definitely hit the spot. I will definitely be returning with friends. The young lady was very nice and was the only one serving about 10 people when I visited. Seriously so good I was shocked! We have a typical order now. Rare steak pho! The quality of the ingredients are great and the portion given could easily feed two people. Their broth is really flavorful and always HOT when picking up. They are also really kind and I've never had to wait. We also love the smoothies! The honeydew, the Thai tea and the chai are so great and we will often stop in and grab a drink without getting pho. However, this is a great spot for comfort food on a cold day. If you want extra meat, even though they give you a lot already, it's not expensive and it can stretch the meal even further. read more

This isn't the best pho ever but it's conveniently located and gets the job done. The restaurant itself feels very open and has somewhat of an empty feel. Service is good and friendly, though they seemed a bit understaffed with one person serving the entire restaurant. Fortunately this did not affect the speed of the food coming out. We ordered shrimp spring rolls, which turned out to actually be summer rolls when they arrived at our table. But they were good so no complaints here. Immediately after the appetizer came out, so did our pho, so the timing was not great. But that's me being picky. It's not a big deal at the end of the day. I have had the regular beef pho here and enjoyed it. However, this past time I tried the seafood version. It uses chicken broth instead of beef so it had a lighter, milder flavor. It was good but I think I would stick with the traditional version next time. iPho is a decent Pho place in Modesto. It could be better but we have found it to be cleaner and more consistent than other Vietnamese restaurants we've tried in Modesto. read more
