However, I'm docking it 3 stars because of a recent experience I had. One of the things i most appreciated about this place was it's consistency in being open and available until midnight. I checked online just in case, and on Google maps, yelp, all signs said it was still midnight for this story. . I arrived at exactly 10:01, and to my surprise the employee was literally just finishing shutting the gate. When I asked why it was closing at 10 when it's always been midnight, I got no reason except, "It's just for today." I explained that since there was no update and all information still said midnight, and it was literally 10:01, could he open up since I traveled all the way and was planning on buying quite a few items? The answer was a firm no. My guess? Business was slow, and the employee decided to leave early. Maybe he was the owner, or related to the owner. Who knows? But here's the kicker: in a fiercely competitive area for vapes, customer service is what sets you apart. Unique stories where you give that experience to the customer is what separates a highly competitive industry . Despite everything saying midnight, and me arriving just one minute past 10 on the night they "decided to randomly close early,".... IF the employee had let me in, I would have come straight here to leave a glowing 5-star review. Personalization and stories like this separate brick-and-mortar small retailers in a saturated market. Unfortunately, this time, the business took a step in the wrong direction for customer experience. The result is 2 stars instead of 5.

As an admitted IPA Sheep, I'm always on the lookout for bottle shops that provide not only top notch quality brews, but probably more importantly around here, FRESH brews. And Giants nails both! Plenty of local bottle shops offer high end local and California beers, but Giants takes it to the next level and has plentiful of Midwest and East Coast beers as well. As a bonus, they don't look at you sideways when you ask for a single if you don't wanna commit to a 4 pack of beers you've never tried. Big ups for that! But perhaps most impressively, I bought 5 cans my first visit there. 4 of the 5 from the NY area, and ALL had been brewed within the month of my purchase. 2 had been brewed the previous week! Good luck finding that anywhere else on the Peninsula/South Bay! Had a good chat with Raj while I was there. Took the time to answer a few questions, and explained how they go about keeping things so fresh and plentiful. His passion for beer was obvious. They got a new customer in me!

After parking in the lot across the street, we arrived shortly before 5:25 PM to an almost empty store. The inside and outside of the venue both appeared to be clean and tidy. Mom made her purchases right away. I followed by redeeming the winnings for a lottery ticket that I had. This is when the cashier realized that he inadvertently ordered one too many lottos or lottery tickets for Mom than what she paid for. When Mom paid the difference, she commented that it was a good thing that we were still at the shoppe, so that she could pay her outstanding balance. The store clerk, a young Sikh with short, curly [gorgeous] hair, replied to her that it would not have been a problem because he would have paid the amount, himself, if we were nowhere to be found. Although it was a de minimis amount, we were impressed by his qualities of friendliness, humbleness, and high integrity. I especially enjoyed our short chat about the reason why he cuts his hair despite being a Sikh. We were in and out within minutes, but the interaction with the young guy behind the counter was so pleasantly memorable and worthy of mentioning. Service like that definitely deserves five-star ratings! We need more good kids like him in this world!
