I don't even know where to begin describing how terrible my experience was here. I got three piercings done at the same time, and for the first six months they were constantly swollen, infected, and bleeding. I later discovered that the jewelry had turned black--it definitely wasn't implant-grade titanium as advertised. On top of that, all three piercings were done at the wrong angles. Even a year and a half later, they're still difficult to wear because of how crooked they are. Absolutely do not recommend. Stay far away. read more

Despite some wailing on the part of the customer and her young friend, the tech didn't miss a trick. While Clay, the tech, had the patience of Job, he also knew exactly where to draw the line with the small crowd. Had a fabulous experience getting my 2nd earlobe piercings with Mark! I arrived slightly ahead of my schedule, and he was ready and we started the paperwork. He's calm, experienced, and a good listener -- I told him my first piercings were done at Claire's when I was much younger, and they were uneven, and more recently I'd let one of my closest friends experiment on me by piercing me with a $10 kit from Amazon. Her daughter/my goddaughter REALLY wants to be pierced, but is immunosuppressed, so super high risk ATM. Verdict: not painful, but of course amateurs aren't going to get the placement right with neither training or decent equipment, so I advised the kid to wait rather than live with regret. For myself, I learned: (1) OMG! I REALLY do want 2nd piercings! (2) but I really want their placement to be spot on. So I let those piercings heal (as I'd planned to unless I somehow ended up loving them), and made an appointment. :) Mark was very, very careful with placement. He answered questions confidently, and told me everything he was going to do before he did it. I really appreciated the professionalism, though without taking away from it, it seemed slightly overkill for earlobe piercings for someone who heals well. Of course, better to err in that direction than the other... When Mark showed me the dots on my ears, I asked if maybe they were further from the edge of my ear than my original piercings, and if that was the style? He explained my first holes were slightly stretched, and the placement followed the shape of my face. It made sense, and he's done many, many, many thousands of piercings over 20 years, so I was reassured. And they came out perfectly! Then he explained the aftercare (cleaning with saline), and showed me how to put on a mask without risking getting the straps caught on the fresh piercings. I paid $67 (IIRC) for the piercing including the titanium studs (a more limited selection right now due to COVID supply chain issues, but it's only for 8 weeks), and walked out a happy woman. Took 30 minutes on the nose, probably because I overshared and asked random questions because I was curious. If you can't tell, I really recommend getting pierced here -- a very reasonable price to pay for a very experienced professional piercer with a good eye and steady hands. A+. :) read more

Avoid getting ear piercings at this place. The piercer is extremely impatient and rough. Even before I mentioned anything or blamed him for causing my ear to bleed excessively, he complained about me, making me feel like I was being difficult. Despite my efforts to remain friendly and not place blame, simply asking for clarification, he showed obvious impatience when explaining the aftercare instructions. It was a horrible experience; he caused my ear to bleed so much irregularly but no apology except for blaming my nerves. This isn't my first time getting ear piercings, and I know I can handle the pain. I felt only one ear piercing here took much more time than I did three piercings at the same time. Regardless, even if a customer is nervous, that should be met with understanding, not impatience. read more

I 100% recommend this place for piercings. My 5yo daughter got her ears pierced here, and Mark was fantastic with us. I liked that he made my daughter feel comfortable and gave her full control. He said he'll stop the minute she says "no", and we can come back for a future appointment instead. My daughter did freak out, and Mark waited very patiently for me to talk to and calm her. The area was very clean, and all tools were sterilized. During the piercing process, he explained every step to us and made sure we were ready. He then carefully explained aftercare and the healing process to me, and gave her a candy. The piercings are perfectly placed, and my daughter says it was painless, she had no reason to be afraid, and that she wants to go back for more piercings when she grows up. The switch up and entitlement from Mr.Walking canvas was flabbergasting!!!. My mother convinced me to get an eyebrow piercing done here and although I was a little hesitant I gave in. Customer service needs a lot of improvement, I voiced my concerns and was obviously nervous as I was getting ready for the piercing. Now you would think as someone who has "20 years" of experience, they would know how to deal with concerns and questions but I guess the "20 years" wasn't enough for this dude considering the fact he had attitude towards me, trying to downplay my concerns. Not to mention he seemed more focused on talking and walking around rarher than doing his job that literally takes no more than 10 minutes. I go to pay and he asked me to TIP LOL, for a $77 piercing???. I am a high school student and saving up for a car so the most I could give was $1.00. You would've thought I tipped a penny, the way he reacted towards me. His exact words were "You can just keep that, that's nothing". I do not at all see the obligation to tip someone for a $77 PIERCING!. Regardless of how you feel about a tip that I don't even HAVE to give to you, there's a way to go about it and giving me very hash attitude and having a tantrum about it is not the professional way to go about it. Never realized how greedy some of these non-essential workers are now and days. read more

When I scheduled my piercings, the first appointment went alright. Mark told me how to take care of my piercings and said I was to come back to change my cartilage piercing to a shorter rod length. Around the time when I was going to go in to change out the earring, he said he was out of the earrings that I needed and I had to constantly call to check back in to see if had had some in stock. And when I finally was able to go back in, I arrived early, "11:50am" to my appointment. At the time, he was helping another customer with a piercing so I waited. As my appointment time passed, he was still helping the customer. When the customer was picking out which earring they wanted, I gently reminded him separately that my appointment was at "12pm". He asked me what time it was now and I said it was "12:05pm". He basically was like "yea you're late to your appointment and you need to wait." I was already annoyed by his attitude but I waited patiently for another 30 mins. And when it was my turn, he simply said my ears were not ready to be changed into the shorter rod and for me to come back in another month. "EXCUSE ME?!" He couldn't take one look and tell me that at "12:05pm??" He had to be petty for me being "late" to my appointment. I will never be going back. He will only treat you nice the first time you come in for a piercing, once you're a repeating customer, he won't care. I definitely don't recommend Fatty Zone to anyone. read more

Made last min appointment to get my 2nd nostril piercing. I originally went elsewhere & the piercer gave me a post that was way too short so i had to take it out & get it repierced after i developed a bump & it just wouldn't go away. Came to Mark, he was quick, efficient & very nice. We found jewelry that would most match my other side and before I knew it, it was done and I was on my way. The cost is no match. The other place I went charged me $180 after all was said & done...no special jewelry, no gold or anything like that..at Fatty Zone: i walked out paying $79 with the jewelry. WHAT! Got my helix pierced around a year ago. Mark was very nice. However I was told that I had to be pierced with a hoop based on my ear anatomy (should have been the first red flag). During the piercing process, it was a lot more painful compared to other cartilage piercings I have done. After I got the piercing, I cleaned it daily as told. However it never got better. After visiting another piercer, I learned that based on my ears anatomy, I am not recommended to even get a helix piercing in the first place. My ear grew over the hoop earring and has now caused permanent damage. I do not recommend going to this piercer for your safety as they are not well educated on piercings. read more
