When we both have to be away from home for an extended work day, we are put at ease with the folks at pet castle. Puppy comes home super tired (even at their 1/2 day rate). He loves seeing all the staff. (Bruce is his favorite I think) Price is right on par for the services Stacey and Bruce provide. Facility is nice and clean (overnight bunks and play areas), reception area is huge for the excited pups. Our dog always comes out clean, excited and happy. Owners are very accommodating for the last minute play dates (website doesn't say you have to call but I like to). As a final note, its nice to see the pictures they put up of the cats and dogs playing all day, making it clear that all the pets have fun and are freely playing.

There is no way to know the level of care the dogs receive while here. Vicki is an older woman who has one staff member who helps in the mornings. This is the second kennel we have dealt with who have the funds and don't hire staff, which can only point to greed. That means Vicki herself is taking caring of her human partner in the home and their 8 animals, as well as the countless dogs being boarded there. Vicki is so up and down mood wise. She's terrible to "work with". She has been over 30 minutes late numerous times when dogs are being picked up or dropped off by rescue volunteers. She made everything difficult for the rescue I volunteer with, almost causing countless volunteers to quit. She makes up rules and regulations as she pleases. She has 3 dogs who were abandoned at the kennel who she won't even allow to find homes, instead they rot in those kennels. She has a Pitbull, shepherd, and senior Chihuahah who were dumped there and live there to this day. She had a rescue at her finger tips who has helped placed other abandoned dogs and yet she would rather these poor dogs suffer in a cage for the rest of their lives. This is not someone who cares about animals. This is someone who cares about money and that's it. The kennels are in bad shape and instead of repairing them, she doesn't. She has her own partner's dog and 2 cats inside the home. She has 2 of her own dogs in the home who live solely on the porch and 1 more who lives in the indoor kennels. These animals are not getting the attention and care when there are at least 20 kennels who often have animals in them. That is around 27 animals being fed by 1 person at night and 27 being fed in the morning by 2 people. Take your dogs to a kennel who truly cares about their dogs, who allow you to see the kennels with your own eyes and who have STAFF. This place needs to be shut down and it's only a matter of time until it happens.

Based upon the booking screening, it was clear that the company is professional, well-run, and focused. They provide transportation for your pet to and from their boarding stay and even provide daily pictures of your pet via text. We were very happy with the arrangements until, in the middle of our vacation, we were told that our dog had an episode of weakness and was rushed to our vet whose information we provided at booking. Andrew stayed with our pet and transported him to the overnight Emergency vet for observation. Everything turned out fine and Andrew picked up our pet to finish his stay. Andrew went out of his way and not only did everything for our pet that we could have done, but he also kept us informed and comforted. The integrity, compassion, and dedication that PetsAreInn demonstrated during our time of deep concern helped us greatly and made us happy we chose a stay with a family in their home versus in a traditional pet kennel. Andrew at PetsAreInn was our pet's guardian angel, and we will look forward to using his service without hesitation going forward.

I have been using Doggie VIP for years and they are always exceptional…read more I just had my rescue Yorkie had a very disturbing situation where she was at a friends house and she got out and I'm very grateful that a Neighbor a few blocks away on a very congested Street found her and called me. I am forever grateful. I mentioned this to Doggie VIP knowing that they already show my Yorkie such TLC. I mentioned this to them and they even want more over and beyond with showing her so much love and support during this time I just wanted to shout out to them. I am super grateful to the staff here for taking such good care of my sweet but somewhat anti social dog while I am away, and for always being so communicative about how she is doing and any small issues that arise during her stay. The space is clean, they are strict about capacity, and they do a thorough socialization check prior to allowing dogs to come for boarding or daycare. This past weekend, I had an issue arise where my sitter had to leave town unexpectedly. DoggieVIP absolutely saved the day by allowing my dog to come stay for the weekend on late notice. They answered my panicked texts and calls immediately and took such great care of Fred while I was away. This spot is great about sending photo updates and all reservations can be made via text message, which makes scheduling a breeze. I will continue to use this location and their Riverwalk location anytime I travel. So grateful and can't recommend them enough!

Chase (my dog) started going to Penny's at 6 months old and although he was mostly potty trained, he had the occasional accident. After only a few weeks of being with his canine friends, Chase no longer had any accidents. He also began to let me know when he needed to go outside. Also, I have noticed that all of the dogs who have gone to this sitter have continued to go in longevity and seem to become family. I highly recommend trying them and seeing how much your dog will love it.
