Cool way to get to events on the key from downtown Miami. Double decker views and feeling that great Miami open water breeze in your face and through your hair. Boat was in good condition and traveled smoothly. Does need an update on its seating as they are cheap old dirty white plastic chairs. Safety didn't seem to be a big concern for this shop as for when riders were boarding they had a ramp that did not fit the boat and was elevated 2 feet above the dock. The Captain didn't really have a professional look either as his uniform was all tucked out and screaming to other workers down below from the top deck.

This horrible woman ....... Stay AWAY!

We asked for simple directions. This "lady" refused to give directions after she knew we were not buying tickets from her!! She said a bunch of nasty words to us in Spanish and shoo-shed us away with her hands as if we were birds!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS LADY AND ESPECIALLY THIS COMPANY!!!! There are plenty of other booths set up that sell boat tour tickets. Please buy from anyone BUT her!

Muricah! After seeing Water Taxi's 4th of July Fireworks cruise advertised on Twitter I decided to check them out, and have to say it was a fun evening and a better deal than the other firework cruises. The $49 deal included soda, beer and sandwiches they purchased from one of the Bayside restaurants. My cruise consisted with a run out of the bay along Government Cut in front of the cruise ship docks, a turn around at Fisher Island and a nicely timed approach toward Bayside to see the fireworks show start. The angle the crew oriented the boat allowed me to check out the shows in the Grove, Key Biscayne and part of Miami Beach as well. Crew was also patient when I had a mini panic when I saw the small size of the boat and I started asking all bunch of questions about lifejackets and navigation aids. Why am I holding off the fifth star? Yes, the boat is smaller than the other bayside cruises and will rock and sway if another boat runs a wake by it. It also departed bayside a little later than the posted time and we weren't allowed to at least board and sit until enough seats were sold. Still and all, it was a fun ride and I'll check them out again.

This is a must if you're visiting Miami, the staff are friendly and the views are breathtaking! The taxi takes you to and from downtown Miami to south beach.

    Amazing views!

Great first experience. Just the girls came off Alittle rude because we had a groupon. Other than that, the ride was smooth and the views were amazing. If you sit up front you get wet but other than that I loved it. Will go again with friends from outer state.

An inexpensive way to see the beautiful waterfront homes and yachts. We set up front and did not get wet! On time and no disappointments!

The lady running the bar was super friendly and told us about other events at Poseidon Ferry, including weekend rides to South Beach! The Brunch was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel buffet style. The selection of what to eat was pretty good. The best part was once you get on the boat. When you get one they give your Valentine a rose and some chocolate, which was a nice touch. They also had Mimosas during your trip around the Miami Skyline. Now I will say this I which the music on the boat would've been better suited for Valentine's Day. They played more of the Electric/ Techno music but it was still a vibe so can't complain to much about it. Will definitely try to come back on other day. I was a nice experience.

Let me start by saying that I love that this service started from Miami Beach to Downtown and vice…read moreversa, it is GREAT to finally have a ferry, so I am very pleased about it and the ride is beautiful Yesterday I took it for the first time, the boat is great, very comfortable, just perfect, but a few things need improving, I hope that with time things can get better, first of all the slope getting on the boat from Miami Beach is very steep, I have an ankle brace and it was not easy to get on the boat, it is not disabled friendly, then the website, there should not be a service fee to buy tickets on the website, this saves time for the personnel on the boat selling tickets, why a service fee? Also, I could not find anywhere the $3 commuter tickets or packages, I have seen ads from you where you advertise that but, I could not find these anywhere on the website and then, most important of all the delay, we were there 15 minutes before departure as requested and nobody was there, at 6 pm the time the ferry was supposed to leave nobody there, no ferry, no personnel, so I called and they told me the ferry was 15/20 minutes late, I told the guy it would have been good if they texted the people that purchased the tickets online given they have all our details, he said it was posted on the website...............so, who goes back on the website once you have purchased the tickets? You should implement an automatic text alert for the customers that purchased the tickets informing them of the delay, so at 6.15 pm I did receive a text, this was 15 minutes from the original departure time, the alerts should be sent 15 minutes before departure or even earlier if you know there are delays, but ok, room for improvement, the problem is that we only left at 6.40 pm........ 40 minutes late; if you are planning to have commuters using this service you need to make sure that the ferry leaves on time otherwise you will never get this part of business, people need to arrive on time at work and if they are relying on the transportation you provide, you should really make sure to be on time, 5 minutes late it is fine but 40 minutes late it is definitely not. One more thing, you advertise that the crossing takes 20 minutes, yesterday by the time you leave and the time you get there and get off the ferry, it took 40 minutes, I think this is an important information especially for commuters that need to know the right time, if it is like that all the time, maybe you should specify it, I don't mind the 40 minutes but if I had to go to work I would want to know. Overall I love the service but you need to improve the service and if you expand to other places, I saw on the website that you will be going to Coconut Grove in the future, I will for sure use it but please get better so next time I can give you a 5 star @poseidonferry

We went around the mansions and islands of Biscayne Bay for about 90 minutes as the sun set. The tour guide was informative while keeping things light and fun, and the DJ added to the atmosphere by timing songs from artists like Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, and Ricky Martin as we passed their homes. There were plenty of photo opportunities, and although the boat was on the smaller side, it didn't feel crowded. The top and front were open-air, with covered seating downstairs. Approaching the lit-up Miami skyline at the end of the ride was a highlight. The boat had a bar with reasonably priced drinks ($5 beers and $10 cocktails) and snacks available for purchase. The only downside was unclear check-in instructions. The email said the booth was inside Bayside Marketplace behind Chili's on the second floor. Right across from Chili's is a storefront for a different tour operator, and downstairs there are at least ten other booths with similar names, which made it confusing. After asking around, we learned the Fiesta Cruises booth was actually outside on the dock--you have to walk through the Tasca Paella restaurant to reach it. Once we found it, check-in and boarding were smooth. Parking at the garage can also be challenging, especially on weekend evenings or during events. My tour coincided with a Miami Heat game next door, which made traffic and parking more difficult and expensive (a $57 flat event rate). The company did send a warning email recommending public transit or rideshare. Even arriving an hour early, it still took about 40 minutes to park and locate the check-in booth.

The air movement on the boat keeps you from getting too warm, even when the sun is blazing, but don't forget your sunscreen. There's no bad seat aboard. All in all, it's a nice little boat ride if you're looking to get outside and burn some time in Fort Lauderdale. There is a string of food shops along the waterfront outside the entrance, so you can plan to grab lunch or dinner before or after your ride.
