This hotel blew my expectations out of the water. The hotel manager when we entered was so nice. He completely ensured we had everything we needed for just 1 night. He also included a map of the area plus some tips and tricks for walking around in Miami. Furthermore, we woke up late and didn't get breakfast but he made us some anyway. I would 100% come here again for the experience and how quiet it was. If I had to make any complaint, it would only be small pieces from cleaning. At first glance it was very clean but to someone who cleaned for a living there are just a few touched I would have added. This is in the residential area of Miami. I booked this place as a spot to stay after my cruise. It is located in a residential quiet area. It has a few rooms inside and a few rooms external. It is all gated. The room also had a combination lock for entry. I had to figure out how to se it and the staff helped me right through. The check in was not until 3pm and we arrived at 10am. Charlie was very accommodating. We kept our luggage at the place until we were ready. He also offered us tea, coffee or water. He was also kind enough to tell me about the various stores, beaches and other locations in the area. It is not far from South Beach and the main street (Lincon Ave). He said that the room would be ready at 2pm. We were checked in on our return. The room was located in the back court yard area. It was pretty quiet. The room had a bedroom area with an open bathroom area. No door on the bathroom which was interesting and different. However there was a door to the toilet area. The shower was a little rusted but it worked well. There is also breakfast in the morning. They will make you a great omelet. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and Charlie was accommodating and kind. He made the stay great. read more

I had this place booked and less than a week before my visit it was suddenly cancelled. This was after I called to confirm several weeks prior due to a note on the properties page saying the business was closed temporarily and was assured my reservation was set. I didn't cancel the room. When I called they told me they couldn't tell me why and that "they didn't cancel it" but there was no availability for that night now (it was for a random Thursday night and I called immediately after I received my notice of cancellation). I was told a manager would call me the next day and never received a call, it's been over 48 hours. I booked another hotel but would never trust this property for future travel needs. read more

If you want to stay some place that's centrally located in Miami, but away from the party crowds, this place is a good bet. We got a great deal on this hotel through capitol one's travel portal. I have never stayed at a real bed and breakfast before -- the breakfast they prepared for us each morning was absolutely delicious, and the man who cooked for us was so nice and personable. It was awesome chatting with him and learning about his experiences. The place was very clean and modern; I liked the decor in the rooms as well as in the lobby. My friend and I both loved how nice the bathroom was, compared to the tiny, cramped and outdated bathrooms we've seen in so many hotels. I don't have any real complaints, just a few minor suggestions -- it would be good if they had a little bit more surface space in the rooms as well as luggage racks for us to put our suitcases on. And it would also be good if they had a closet or something for people who are checking in later to leave their luggage instead of leaving it in the lobby area. But those are minor nitpicky things and over all our stay was great! read more

So this place has a lot of perks and a few drawbacks. I think the greatest asset of this hotel is that it is close to the beach, but far enough away that it is quiet at night. You are just over a quarter mile from Ocean Drive. The hotel itself is pretty new and reasonable well maintained. The staff is friendly and they are always out to please. The beds are comfortable and the amenities available are reasonable including beach towels, chairs, and an umbrella. The downsides of the hotel involve the some small maintenance items that need to be addressed. The air conditioners need to be cleaned as their vents are full of lint. There is also a fair bit of dust on the upper surfaces in the rooms like the door jambs and fire alarms. Also contrary to their website, there is not a staff member at the front desk 24/7. They typically staff the desk from 6am to 11pm from what we experienced. The rooms are a bit thin on insulation, but they said that problem is being addressed as well. The breakfast portion of the hotel is adequate. It's nothing to write home about, but it's freshly cooked and free. Options typically included eggs, and omelet, or a pancake along with toast, yogurt, juice, and coffee, it is a reasonable meal. read more

This place is awful. There is absolutely NO privacy. You enter to a center room where the clerk sits. The room doors are in direct view of the clerk and some are only feet away from the clerk's desk. I imagine the clerk hears much of what is said in the rooms. Strange!! What is labeled as a pool is really a hot tub. Not recommended. read more

Similar to Aaron, I also thought I found the perfect hotel for my stay in Miami. Less than one week before my stay, I got an email asking me what time I'd arrive. 30 minutes later, I got an email saying my reservation was cancelled by the hotel "at my request." I had never cancelled my reservation. When I called the hotel they said that many reservations were cancelled, they were fully booked, and told me they'd call me back. They did not call me back. I suspect that they cancelled my reservation to get a higher priced reservation because I had made mine months ago (at a much cheaper price). This hotel is shady, and the way they do business is not acceptable. Book at your own risk! read more

I took a long time finding a great hotel for a weekend getaway to Miami. I thought Bars B&B was it, but a few weeks before my stay, I received a notification that my reservation was cancelled by the hotel "at my request." I certainly did not request to have my reservation cancelled. When I contacted the hotel by phone, they were unable to help, referring me to an email address. I emailed said address, and after a couple days (and a follow-up e-mail) heard back. They were unable to reinstate my reservation as it was now sold out. I can't prove it, but I suspect the hotel cancelled my reservation to take a higher paid reservation. Either way, they screwed me. Recommend staying away. read more

I have stayed at many hotels in SoBe and I LOVED this B&B. At first I was confused as I could not find it. It was in a residential area and looked just like an average home on Lenox Street. But when I got into the B&B it was such a zen and beautiful little B&B I fell in love with this place. We requested a double room but they were unavailable so they gave us 2 rooms. The rooms are rather but they are very cute and comfortable. Charlie the front desk host is awesome, he was so helpful and very nice. The location is a bit farther from the beach about 6 blocks from all the action. But the stuff that was around was awesome. Within 1 block there is a big publix and 3 blocks walking distance is Whole Foods. You can walk everywhere from this location. We took a $4 uber ride to lincoln road at night but virtually every thing you need is very close. You can rent bikes everywhere and within 1 block you will find a bike rental. I rented a bike and rode to the marina and to the pier. It was such an amazing time. This was surely more of R&R weekend and I enjoyed every moment. The staff was pleasant and super helpful. They keep this place clean and that zen feeling the whole time you are there. and OMG the beds are luxurious. I had the best night sleep here. Since I'm a local I will be coming back to this place! read more

Can't talk up enough what a gem this place is...do not let a location that looks farther from the beach fool you, Miami Beach is VERY walkable, and the beach is still only a 10-15 min walk away!! The place is beautiful, quiet, super relaxing, spotless, and breakfast (yogurt/granola and omelette or pancakes) was always yummy and kept my bf and I full for hours! Staff is SUPER friendly, accommodated us when we extended our stay, gave us helpful tips and recommendations, including a 15% off card for Fratelli la Buffala, an Italian restaurant a few blocks away (gracias Carlos!), and let us leave our luggage behind the front desk for free for hours on the day we had to check out. Would 100% recommend and am fully planning to book my next stay in Miami Beach here!! read more

wished I can give half stars. I was torn between either a 3 or 4 stars. And here's the reason why. Pro: the people here were very nice. The Brazillian lady who checked us in was very nice and gave us some tips on where to visit, etc. The room was very clean and the garden was very cute and nice The jacuzzi and the chairs and tables in the garden made it relaxing to drink wine and bring your own food to eat The location was in a quiet residential neighborhood and about a 10 min walk to the beach. The cons: Wifi was very spotty and very slow. The ac in our room was extremely loud. When it turns on, we would be woken up from our sleep. So we turned it off for the night but that made the room unbearably hot. This is a bed and breakfast and they really got to get their breakfast together. The first day we stayed there the breakfast was nicely prepared with a small plate of fruit and yogurt, and some eggs made to order with some toast. It took a long time to come out tho but it was good. The second day we were there, breakfast was a mess. There was no seat in the garden so we went to sit by the bar in the kitchen. the guy at the kitchen looked frazzled and said they were very busy and quickly got us coffee and orange juice. And we just kept on sitting there for more than 30 mins without someone even coming over to ask us what we wanted. After about 40 mins, the guy finally came over with apparently an extra order of egg that apparently was an extra or a reject from another table, he asked us if we wanted it since it was an extra. My husband was starving so he said yes. No utensils were given to us. And we don't eat pork and found that there was ham in the eggs. At that point, I didnt even want to wait for my part of the breakfast, and no one even asked us what we wanted. We just wanted to get out of there. So we left. My suggestion to them is they got to have the breakfast together for the guests. It's nice to have eggs specially made to order but it's even nicer to have eggs to eat than not to have anything at all after waiting 40 mins. They need to cook, prepare more at once so the guests have food in the morning. read more

We came here after a short cruise for the last night of our honeymoon. I had mentioned when we booked that we would be on our honeymoon. We arrived before 11 am but couldn't check in until 3pm. I was a little weary of this but we didn't have anywhere else to go with 3 bags of luggage. Not only did they let us in and let us keep our bags there, they even fed us breakfast at no additional charge before we went out for the afternoon. And that wasn't even the best part: after we checked in we found, to our surprise, that they had placed roses on the bed in our room and bought us a bottle of champagne. We were touched! The interior is modern. Clean, white, and shiny. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have all the amenities you could want (with perhaps the exception of a business center, but to be fair I didn't ask). Having such a personal touch is phenomenal, especially in a huge city like Miami. Plus you're 10 minutes' walk to the beach. It's fantastic. When we come back to Miami, we will definitely be staying here and I suggest you do the same. read more

Charlie and Carlos will be your best friends here. Convenient bed & breakfast . Very quiet neighborhood. No continental breakfast here. Eggs , pancakes, yogurt etc. no buffet , all made to order when you get up. Wine flows freely at 6 and it's very relaxing at their outdoor garden area. Moves on to either pancakes or eggs and toast. Orange juice and coffee flowing all morning! Wine is free in the evenings. (YES!) It was great with getting ready for dinner! Location is near pretty much everything.. So we walked many places. Cons: thin walls. We stayed outside in the separate area and could hear what the people next to us where saying and what they were watching on TV. I would return here in a heartbeat! read more

I would totally recommend this place. Really relaxing b&b with lovely people always ready to give you advices and make sure you don't get ripped off at tourist places. They even have offered us a $15 coupon at a local Italian restaurant. They had good ratings on Expedia, I can see why. We stayed here for a girls trip over Labor Day weekend, it is very nice and clean and the staff is very kind and helpful! Charlie and Carlos went out of the way to make us feel at home and very comfortable!! They let me park for free for 2 days, served us a very nice breakfast and Wine in the afternoon when we arrived! Bars B&B was a wonderful experience for us from start to finish. We came to Miami Beach to eat, drink, and soak up the sun, and this hotel was a nice refuge when we were exhausted from partying! Thais (sorry if I'm spelling your name wrong friend!) was our hostess for most of our stay and she was so sweet and polite. Breakfast was yummy and nutritious (Greek yogurt, fruit, and omelette). Our room was wonderfully air conditoned and we could control the temp- which you NEED in South Florida! We were very comfortable and we enjoyed the slightly more intimate experience of a b&b vs. a big hotel- I feel that we got more than our money's worth. Thanks Bars for the hospitality! read more

I stayed here with my girlfriend and the experience was sensational. The staff really takes customer service to a different level. Charlie, Carlos, Lili, and Thais were wonderful! Charlie gave us a map of all the local attractions and explained to us all the parking rules, what a great guy! They hook you up with a glass of wine, beach towels, umbrella, they are there to help you. This was the first time we felt like we were more than just a number and we actually looked forward to getting to the hotel at night just to chit chat with the staff! Very nice and clean. Art Deco Miami I loved. Breakfast was delicious and light. Everyone who worked there was super sweet and since there wasn't enough parking, they reimbursed us for what we had to pay for. There are no crazy fees and resort fees like the hotels on the strip so you save a ton of money. Immaculately clean which we love, and poopouri in the bathrooms lol! Loved this little place! After having to disembark from our cruise early yesterday we arrived at 8 a.m. to Bar B&B. They held our luggage while we walked down to the beach and rented the city bikes to ride the path & see the area. Charlie gave us a small map & pointers as where to eat and what to avoid so we didn't get caught up in the tourist exploitation. He even called us when our room was ready. The bed was super comfy and we slept amazing for about 10 hrs! We awoke to coffee & tea on the patio along with yogurt w/ granola & fruit....then made to order yummy omelets! Charlie even helped load our suitcases into our Uber car this morning. Carlos was the evening host who also seemed very friendly & helpful. However, we crashed hard after we returned from an evening Bay tour. We will definitely return to Bar B&B for our next Miami visit! read more

LOVE this place. Blown away by how nice it is and the "posh" feel. Never stayed anywhere like it. 6 blocks from the beach and ocean drive... Can't beat that! We have been able to walk everywhere we've wanted so far. Nice and quiet... Clean, Cute, intimate rooms and not a lot of guests. Breakfast in the morning is delicious and healthy :) staff is SO so friendly and can recommend restaurants and bars locally so you're not spending a ton in the tourist areas. I I have traveled the world. When I stay at a hotel or a bed-and-breakfast I look for the total experience. From the moment I checked in. I felt like I was truly family. I was not rushed and all the paperwork was ready at my own pace to sign. My room was large and furnished beautifully. The bathroom was also large and brand new (spotless) When I woke up the smell off coffee and Danishes hit my nose. The entire staff made me feel welcome. When visiting Miami beach I would highly recommend trying a bed-and-breakfast there's only one or two in the area, this is the one you should choose for a wonderful experience. read more

We weren't sure what to expect staying at this B&B because of how reasonable to prices were. HOWEVER, boy were we in for a treat! The rooms and facility are very modern, clean, and comfortable. The staff is extremely nice, helpful, and accommodating at any hour of the day. The desk is staffed 24 hours a day. And the breakfast was....it was just....YUM!!! This hotel has HORRIBLE customer service! I called about 3 times in reference to my refund. The first time, the hotel told me to call back (already not good customer service). The 2nd time I called, they told me to call back again and hung up on me. They said for me to email them - their listed email address DOES NOT WORK. I called right back a 3rd time, and said that their email address does not work, the lady combated me on that, but clearly other Google Maps reviews reference the same issue - she hung up again. Horrible customer service. Hotels.com finally cleared up my issue. I will not be booking with this b&b again - quite frankly I would be afraid to give them my money again, as their communication platforms never seem to be answered or are down - I had been trying to get ahold of them for months, and finally got through this week. I just had my fiance call to schedule a booking - they stayed on the phone with him - but hung up on me when I referenced a refund issue lol - horrible horrible lol. Do not stay here read more

Lovely outdoor seating for breakfast and my husband loved the food so much he gobbled up his plate and mine. Close enough to the night life but not overwhelmed by it. 10 minute walk to the beach.
