I was nervous it was going to be weird tasting or bitter, but that is not an issue at all. The mix was not too sweet but sweet enough to carry the bowl. The banana mixed with the chocolate chips added the sweetness I sought, and the strawberries added a hint of vibrancy and tartness to tie the entire bowl together. I've ordered from this place twice. Pretty expensive I will say, but the bowls are pretty good. My first time ordering I went in and had to wait about 20-25 minutes which is a pretty long time for a smoothie bowl. My second time, I ordered online in advance so I wouldn't have to wait as long. Ordered it at 3:30 told me to pick up at 4:05. I came at 4, paid for my food and the lady told me wait a sec. A second turned to a 35 minute wait and seeing orders placed after mine being given out. I asked another person at the cash register how long it would take for my order to be ready and she said that they couldn't find my order in the system. The same lady who took my payment for the order said that they would make it right now but then turns out that it was in the freezer the whole time.. and the people I was talking to me with an attitude in their voice the whole time. And I am a server and handle with guests all the time and know what good service is. So in conclusion food is okay but just a little pricy, customer service and time.... don't even bother. I've been craving açai bowls since moving to lubbock and was super excited when I saw this place on yelp. We happened to spot it today while out and about and decided to try it. The people there were friendly and they had a wide variety of food and drink options. Ambiance was nice, and it was calm and quietwhen we were here at 3pm, and best of all, not overly air conditioned (important when eating half frozen food...)! We got the tropical açai bowl and açai elixir smoothie. The açai bowl had good volume, with a generous amount of granola and fruit toppings. The smoothie was one size - 20oz, advertised as no ice, added sugar, or fillers, which is great. They have paninis, salads, and dessert options too, which I definitely want to try out sometime. I am excited that there are a few healthy lunch options in Lubbock and Vitality Bowls is definitely one of them. So far, I have had a chance to eat their panini and kombucha. Their turkey panini came out in 5-10 minutes. And it is perfectly portioned. Usually, sandwiches in the US to be way too big for me and usually the meat is overloaded. VB creates sandwiches nicely balanced. Also, I have realized that their ingredients were very fresh, too! You can feel the crispness of spinach as you bite in. And they have two of my favorite ingredients on top: sundried tomatoes and basil pesto. It was flavorful and delicious! When it comes to panini, I do prefer the flatbread that is used to make paninis in Italy or more like the ones used at Segafredo Zanetti, although such choice may not fit in their corporate image :-) Their kombucha was refreshing and not over-sweetened! So, about two weeks ago the ownership here changed hands. I have to tell you, I've always enjoyed the food but under the old ownership, the wait times were so outrageous it really made me think whether or not I wanted to keep going back. And the employees didn't seem to want to be there. The new ownership seems to have the wait times way down, the people that work there are so so friendly and pleasant, and the food is still delicious. It is one of my go to spots in Lubbock. However, The music is waaaaaayyyyy too loud; the cashier was trying to take a phone order and she kept saying, " I can't hear you" to the person on the phone. The selection of music is also really bad (obviously the playlist from one of the staff of 4 females in their 20's) and it makes it worse when it's too loud. Parking is super limited, your best bet will be on the side of the building. It's pretty small inside but the seats and tables are really cool. The ideal hang out place for college kids. They even have bean bag chairs. The staff is nice and will answer any questions you may have and will give you recommendations if you're looking for something specific. They also make smoothies which I haven't had but i've heard they're pretty good. The place is kind of hidden and hard to find so you really have to look for it. read more

I visit Lubbock a few times a year and I am so happy Vitality Bowls exists! Nothing like a green drink or açaí bowl to really slow you down during a week of traveling. Living in Denver I have pretty high standards for my juice bars and Vitality ranks among the best I have visited! It's is located in a very nice area of Lubbock, there's street parking or parking lot parking near! The atmosphere of this is place is hip, but still warm and inviting. Quiet enough to be able to hear your own conversation at your table but music is playing so it's not awk! Cute orange and purple decor heighten your vibes as soon as you walk in. Oatmeal Bowl was very good but i prefer my oatmeal not to be mushy. Green Me Up fresh juice was just ok taste wise but it was not cold at all and had lots of chunks in it. Feel like prices are high for college kids and it might be best to offer a smaller size of bowls because the smallest size is huge. read more

After moving to Lubbock from Plano, I am so glad to have found a place like Nektar here! Every time I come, someone greets me politely and takes my order quickly. I always order their vitality bowl in a medium and it's huge. Definitely enough for one person. The banana and strawberries topped onto the acai bowls are fresh and the granola is crunchy with honey drizzled on top for perfect finish. I also absolutely recommend their The Rehydrator drink! Tastes so fresh and is sweetened just right with coconut water and pineapples. The only reason it's not a full 5/5 is bc the drink, though tasty, is a bit pricey. Also, I've had their panini and it is TINY. T I N Y. and it wasn't even a panini.. it was two loaves of wheat bread. It's a sandwich. A tiny sandwich. Idk mine didn't look like the other pictures I see on here... it was extremely disappointing. Was it at least yummy? Yeahhhh but it's tiny and pricey. It upsets me that I paid for this honestly. Called 20 min ahead before arriving to the store. Once I arrived.. no one at the counter so I waited then this girl who seemed miserable came out and said "oh it's gonna be a long wait" not sure why when we had called ahead and there was no line. This went on to a 20 min wait while you could hear two workers fighting in the back, there was no music or outside noise making it so awkward. Everyone was just sitting in the searing area in dead silence. I'm sorry but if you have customers calling ahead the whole point is for it to be ready when they get there not for it to be made upon arrival. Then I was given a small tiny cup with the açaí "bowl" in it. For paying the full price and only getting a small cup doesn't make sense. I'm upset and extremely displeased with the service.
