    Pinto bean street tacos

I'm sad we can only give 5 stars as otherwise I would give at least 10 for this amazing food truck! We have long loved this brand and now we're so stocked to see that they have a permanent location right in Boyne City! Amazing! The spot is right off the main road on the outskirts of town and has an ample parking lot, as well as seats in the shade and out in the sun. There is plenty of room for groups or singles, and when we visited the place was hopping. As per usual with a food truck you go up to the counter to order and they give you a remote which buzzes when your order is ready. They have a variety of options all around the concept of tacos (obviously). Their chips and salsa are amazing and frankly any of their tacos or bowls are just as delicious as can be!! My favorites are the smoked potato taco and the pinto bean taco which come as either a street taco (corn tortilla) or regular taco (flour tortilla). I can usually eat at least 3 but probably should settle for two! My husband says they are addictive and that you can't eat just one! We love their flavors and the crunch on the potato tacos, as well as the spicy flavor of the crema. I can't get enough of this stuff and now they have a location close to our favorite town...ideal! Their hours are Friday through Sunday 11-3 so make sure you don't miss them, but they are well worth the planning to go every day. Delicious!!

We stopped in to get Happys Tacos at the Little Fleet. These tacos genuinely exceeded my expectations, even though I already expected them to be fantastic based on the great reviews I read before coming in! I got the smoked potato tacos and they were genuinely the best tacos I've ever had. My husband got a chorizo Street taco, a pork chorizo taco, and a smoked chicken taco- he absolutely loved them as well. It was very cool how it was set up, you walk up to a counter and order, they give you a buzzer and you go sit at a table of your choice. When the buzzer goes off you go up and grab your food and enjoy. Our food came out very quickly and it was so flavorful. The decor was really awesome, it was a very inviting and laid-back environment, and very clean as well. I can't wait to come back

Hip little taco counter. But honestly, it looked better than it tasted. The chips and salsa came with an awesome salsa, but unfortunately, somewhat stale chips. That was a bummer. The shrimp taco looked awesome, but sort of fell apart on the first bite and ended up being a messy effort of awkwardly eating the shrimp with my hands. I feel like this place has potential with a little finessing, or maybe I just had bad luck on this particular day. On the bright side, the mural above the ordering counter is really bright and, as the name says, happy!

Taco truck with AMAZING tacos! The flavors are unexpected and we're all delicious. We tried them all! Lots of seating on the patio most are in the sun, a few tables have shade. Our top flavors were the cheeseburger taco and pork burrito! This is a must go if you are in the area!

Delicious tacos. Shrimp tacos were fantastic. Portion size for the chips and salsa was a little small but the salsa was excellent.

It's a neat layout. They don't have chicken or beef. That's a deal breaker for some people.

I expect most hipster food trucks to be subpar and overpriced, but Happy's is different. This place is a real hidden gem.

Crazy that this Mexican food eatery with a small yet delicious menu sits within a 42,000-square-foot building that formerly served as an equestrian center. Now it's an eatery inside several rooms - a part of the largest distillery in Michigan. The BIG room, on a colored, swirling and polished cement floor is decorated with couches, picnic tables, a large screen for videos and corn-hole boards and other games. My spouse and I ordered a quesadilla filled with chicken, avocado, peppers. onions and cheese ($16). YUM. Prepared on a 10-inch tortilla, it was served with limey-tasting sauce of sour cream in a tiny ramekin. We picked it up at the window in the long hallway on the side of the distillery and ate at a picnic table with our bottles of Mexican Coke and Lime Jarrito in the big hall. Although the price is a bit more than we usually spend for a top-notch quesadilla, we probably will return for fish (cod) taco $6.00. The only major drawback is the distance between the parking area and the restaurant and distillery. It's up a myriad of steep steps, although there is a drop-off area near the building for those who are physically impaired.

Outside the fray of downtown Petoskey, El Cilantro has a much more relaxed vibe. It's close to the state park and ideal for hungry campers or bikers riding from Petoskey to Harbor Springs. The server definitely gets five plus stars. Helpful, fun and attentive. We enjoyed the complementary chips and salsa while waiting for our food. Our shrimp tacos, which we shared, were enough for two or one very hungry person. They looked appealing, served in a casual "basket" plate. Though everything was fine and satisfying, we both felt there was a lack of seasoning that would have made our meal next-level. We are from Southern California and may have higher standards and more experience with Mexican cuisine than most. The level of flavoring and spice would surely appeal to the palate that does not crave much heat or traditional spices. As campers, we will definitely keep El Cilantro on our list to visit for future trips.

For $55 we got 2 horchatas, a small chips and salsa, shrimp taco meal, and the breakfast number 1. My daughter really enjoyed the homemade horchata, I like mine with a little more spice but it was very creamy, lightly sweet, and I would order again. Salsa was processed smoothly with very few pieces of veg if that's how you like it, the flavor was good, very mild. The chips were not homemade but also good for being the standard tortilla chip. The tacos are American style with flour tortillas, cheese, and sour cream which is not our preferred way to eat tacos so that's on us. If you like American style these were spot on. The rice was fantastic and the side of beans were pinto beans and not refried, also tasty but soupy. The scrambled eggs with carnitas were so oily that they were swimming in the bottom. Additionally the menu indicated they came with cheese and hash brown but mine was missing as can be seen in the photo (rectified immediately and kindly so absolutely not a complaint). The green salsa was minimal, would have preferred more as that was where the only real flavor came from. I wouldn't order again due to the oil. We may return and try again as the food was fresh, nicely cooked, the service was fantastic, and the place was spotless. We just like a little more authentic with perhaps different spice levels of salsa (little more spicy).
