Found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint. If your not in the mood for food they have a great and large selection of beer and wine. (I'm don't imbibe, but have been assured their selection is very good by my husband and other friends and family.) Food is very good. We have tried their lamb burger (tasty and moist), lamb sandwich (very tasty and tender), hummus plate, tri-tip sandwich, all were good and we would order again. We have only eaten there for lunch and look forward to trying their dinner menu. The staff is great - friendly, helpful. (The owner was there on two different occasions and he approached us to make sure we were happy.) It is in an odd location (in a 'strip mall' next to Orchard Supply), but this doesn't detract from the eating/drinking experience. read more

Wow! What an amazing evening at Hapy. The best Ahi tuna we've ever had. Also enjoyed the bacon wrapped dates. We ordered the rack of lamb and the oven roasted chicken breasts and they were both outstanding. The quality of the food was only exceeded by the stellar service of our waitress Jackie and the warmth and friendliness of the owner Nabil. This was my second time eating at Hapy. Made a reservation but really didn't need to at 5:00 pm on a Thursday. Our waiting came on string and was very attentive, friendly and provided excellent customer service.....until we got our good. Then he never came back to our table again until long after we finished our food. For the most part we wouldn't have needed him but could have used additional tartar for fish and chips which was immensely over cooked. In fact the fish was as hard as a rock, he agreed. The fish kabob and the chicken kabob plates were delicious however. Brussels sprout appetizer, ehhh not so good. Just tasted like roasted Brussels sprouts. The place is very noisy when the restaurant fills up. Overall it was pretty good and I will probably give it another try. read more

I can't say enough nice things about this place! It's beautiful, the food is delicious and it's open till 10pm every night?! I have to admit, I'd seen the place on many trips to OSH (it's right next door) and thought it was a specialty wine store (all you can see is the vast fridge of wine and beer) but I'm really glad I decided to have dinner there! I met the owner Nabil. (probably butchering the spelling) He was so friendly, and introduced me to the entire staff, and told me the story of how Hapy is a family business. Saw this place going in a few months ago. Originally thought was a typo for Happy. A very non traditional restaurant that threw me for a curve. It's a cigar, wine and beer shop with a restaurant twist. Greeted quickly by the owner and sat. After that we waited almost 15 minutes before we were asked have you been helped. As the owner he should have offered up drink list and maybe some menus especially after inquiring about the concept of the restaurant. Once they discovered we were not helped things turned better. Food was good but very expensive for a strip mall restaurant. Beers are well priced and wine seems to be as well. We liked it but overpriced and I think they need some additional staff. Give them a few months to work some kinks out. read more

This is the BEST hidden secret in the central coast!!! Best food, awesome service. Most friendly place we have been. They had a nice wine and beer selection, but from the outside it looks like more of a wine shop than a sit down restaurant. They also have a great walk in humidor. YUM! That's the only word for this restaurant and bar. The food is Greek themed: Dolmas, kabab, moussaka etc. I had the moussaka and a robust cab to pair with it. The moussaka is served in an oval dish and is different from others that I have had but quite tasty. The restaurant is in its soft opening but the service was good and the food wonderful. Great new place with excellent selection of wine, beer, and ciders. We have eaten there twice. The food is delicious but they need to work on service. It was busy both times and service was uneven. They are very apologetic and either discount items or bring something extra but I would just prefer more professional service. My husband and I went to Hapy Bistro last night for the first time. It exceeded all expectation-from the owner and servers/hostess, to the atmosphere, to the food! Being Middle-Eastern myself, I am probably more critical than most when it comes to restaurants serving this type of food. But I am Hapy :-) to say, there is nothing to criticize about Hapy Bistro. The Kafta Kabob was delicious and seasoned perfectly. The side salad was filled with Kalamata olives and capers. The Stuffed Chicken Bites with goat cheese and feta were also scrumptiously moist and tasty. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, just like the people who work there. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be going back again and again! read more

The food was very good. The menu was varied, and there was variety enough to please anyone. I would have liked to give it more stars but our experience was not 5 star worthy. The service was very bad, and they were not that busy. Our server kept asking if we needed anything, and then did not bring what we requested. The food took overly long to prepare. Then when we were leaving, I asked for a bit more of the sauce for my chicken, and was told it would be an additional $1.25. I've never encounter that before. I will give them a second chance, because anyone can have a bad night. I will update my review if the service improves. read more
