We tried it with both the grilled chicken and salmon, and both were excellent. The salmon was especially good and made the salad feel like a complete meal. Let me start with the RANCH! It was amazing and made in house! I couldn't try the carbonara due to the raw egg, but my dad DEVOURED it! The steak and the rib were so tender and well cooked. I ordered the pork belly sandwich from the bar side and it was packed with meat and the flavor combo of spicy and sweet matched well. Such a fun spot! The service is A1 my friend and I were taken care of my James and Paige behind the bar but they honestly were doing home then bar service this night. My friend and I had plenty of drinks (espresso martini) if you have more of a sweet tooth and a classic (dirty vodka martini ). Fairly easy parking (lots of street parking). The host and waitress were very nice and patient and gave great recommendations for drinks and food. I got the purple rain cocktail--a light and refreshing gin cocktail. We ordered a rigatoni and flat iron steak to share. The rigatoni was super flavorful and really good. Loved the sauce. Totally forgot that I came here once like 7 years ago until I saw I had reviewed it Food - amazing, I had the salmon, and even at well done it was still very soft and so easy to cut. All the other ingredients worked extremely well together that nothing was overpowering. The blend was right. My wife had the Brussel Spouts and at least compared to last time it was a big difference. Usually salt will be put to be the biggest enhancer of flcaor for this or something sweet. Date night tonight, I got a couple if tickets to see a cover band at the Clarke center and of course dinner M hasn't been to Mason's. Early diners tonite and we parked as close as one can. Well "the games" were on so into the bar we went. What was different was sitting in the bar as opposed to the dining room. No problem we had our backs to the bricks on a bench at a table for four, a perfect screen view. Okay dinner time, we're sharing our choices these days and splitting the entree was a small charge. The Sparkling bottled water I bought was flat, no problem try this one. My Caesar salad was good lots of leaves and fresh crouton but I found the dressing was less than tasteful, bring back the anchovies. M had a good bowl of roasted cauliflower, she loved it, every last bit of it. We split the crispy skin Branzino considered a European or Mediterranean Sea Bass nothing like the thick light flavored North American Sea-bass" we are fond of. Needless to say it was crispy and flavorful and the lemon mashed potatoes were a hit. Green beans cooked perfectly. A very well balanced is was all very complimentary flavored. Then it was time for dessert all made in the kitchen. Lets have some birthday cake, minus the candles. That was really good, I wish we had more at home. My family and I came here for a family dinner tonight and it was so incredibly good. We were a large party of 30, including kids and they were able to accommodate us with a reservation on a saturday night. The service was fantastic and everyone that helped us was attentive and helpful. Even with such a large party our food came out timely, correct, and delicious. Our table had a little bit of everything from the menu. The strawberry lemon drop was refreshing but not too sweet. I recommend the brussell sprouts, cauliflower, shishito pepper and ricotta dip appetizers. I also had the New York Strip which was cooked perfectly to my liking. I didn't hear anyone at our table with any complaints about their food. We finished the night off with so many desserts. I had the Birthday Cake which was amazing. Came by for an early dinner around 4:40 pm on a Monday. Dining room wasn't open at the time so we sat in the bar area. We were greeted by a very welcoming staff member named Morgan. We ordered drinks with a few hiccups but staff was just so friendly that it didn't bother us. We ordered their American Wagyu Burger with regular fries, Peach and Burrata Panzanella Salad, Brussels Sprouts, and Butternut Squash Soup. Food came out timely and at the right temperature. I thought the brussels sprouts were excellent. The soup was my second favorite. The burger was very good but the salad didn't work for us. To be clear, the food was good. But our experience was not. We went for dinner and they were clearly understaffed. It took a while for us to get a waitress and then longer to get our wine and by the time we got our appetizers, we had been at the restaurant for 45 minutes. By the time we got dinner, it was 90 minutes in... we watched other tables for two get there after we did, eat, and leave before we got our dinner. We talked to the manager and he did eventually comp one of the entrées, but we had to ask for it. These things happen, but it all could've been handled so much more effectively. Clearly the waitress should've been empowered to provide a solution given our bad experience, and all she could say was she could give us a dessert, which we didn't want. Unfortunate we had to then talk to one of the owners to finally get some resolution. read more

We love this place! It was our second visit and it never disappoints. A great spot in Arroyo Grande area for the whole family. It's a little dark and loud so it's nice having your little kids, you don't feel like they are disturbing anyone. We had delicious house made cocktails, and the entrees were individually impressive. The place did not need any reservations as it wasn't busy, probably because it was a Tuesday evening. We got there and got seated right away. Now, I mentioned that it was my birthday and I was also wearing a birthday sash - none but 1 worker greeted me which was such a bummer. It was also a bummer that we forgot ID's and they didn't take any other document that had my birth date on it if it wasn't a driver's license or passport. So the service was okay at best, could have been warmer. The food on the other hand was amazing. We got the aranchinis and carbonara. They were both so so good and both dishes was enough to fill up two people! Since the food was great, we would probably go back again but hopefully next time would be a warmer welcome. read more

We were the first into the dining room at 5pm. The space is airy and comfortable with pleasant decorations. We only had one beer and one cocktail between the 6 of us because of drivers. The wine list was extensive and interesting, with a very wide range of choices and prices. The wait staff was very good and professional and acceded to our wishes readily. The food was outstanding. From the first bite of the Brussels sprouts I knew it was going to be a great experience. In addition to the sprouts we shared appetizers of an excellent salad and really first rate poke. The branzino special didn't sound exciting (pureed cauliflower and corn) but once again had extraordinary flavors and was perfectly cooked. The pastas were of high quality and the short rib got good reviews. As we were off to a show we did not sample desserts but given the quality of the rest of the meal, I look forward to trying them out on our next visit.
