First time in. The restaurant is part of Hotel Cerro and opens up on Garden Street. The inside has high ceilings with hanging sound board/lights/speakers. The industrial look fits the location well. They have a full bar, but the high end selections in the spirit section could use a boost. My wife had the Avocado toast and she really liked it. I had a bite and agreed that the flavors were well balanced with the Arugula and balsamic. She said she would definitely order again. I had the Short Rib Benedict. It was good but didn't knock my socks off. The potatoes were good. They were the whole baby creamers and roasted perfectly. We had a side of fruit which consisted of Strawberries and 5 Blackberries. It could have had more variety, but I get it. The service was excellent. Our waiter checked in with us regularly and we never were waiting for a requested item. I would definitely give the restaurant another go to try some other items. Cheers!

Cute little restaurant attached to Hotel Cerro. Stopped in twice while staying at the hotel. Service was super slow over the weekend when they were busier but great when we visited on a weekday. Breakfast burrito was fresh and delicious. Great outdoor seating too for a nice day. Would recommend especially if guests of the hotel

We came on a sunday for brunch, no wait since we made reservations but there wasn't a lot of people waiting if you go early. We ordered a monte cristo and short rib bene. The monte cristo was not bad but the roasted potatoes were so good, perfectly salted and roasted 7/10 The short rib bene was pretty good, but I wish the egg was runnier 8/10 Ambiance was nice, good place for a date and service was great! Super friendly 10/10

Beautiful setting located in the Marriott Bonvoy on Garden Street downtown SLO. I had the short rib Benedict that was savory and loaded with meat. It was served with your choice of salad, fruit or potatoes. We also enjoyed the French Toast with lemon whipped cream and berries. The toast was very light and fluffy. Our server Mason was a rock star. He made our tasty Bloody Mary and Aptoast CA Spritz. Overall, this place is a must do experience, enjoy! Bonus: locals get a discount.

We were headed to a different restaurant and decided to try this one out. They weren't very busy so we were seated right away. The inside is open with a view of the pizza oven. Our server was friendly and attentive. The adobo was juicy and flavorful. The pizza was a little soft in the middle so I had to roll it up, but the flavor was so good! The s'mores brownie (complimentary dessert for checking in on Yelp) was just okay. The marshes was good, but the brownie was cold.

Pig & Fig, with apparently no figs...

The restaurant is pretty, the staff is friendly, the drinks were good, the food was fine, expensive for what it was. We started with the Pig & Fig pizza, when it came out we immediately noticed there weren't any Figs on it. We asked about them and were told the Figs were chopped up in the sauce? The base is a tomato sauce, we definitely didn't taste any fig. Very disappointing for $28. My husband had the burger, it was good, but messy. The fries were delicious. I had the short rib, it was good, but the carrots on the side were burnt. All in all, it was okay, but for the price, we want the food that was advertised on the menu and we expected it to be better than fine.

I don't know why this place isn't packed!!! The oysters were a great start to the meal and the pig and fig pizza was sooo good, I would've never thought to make it myself. The meal was so good that we decided to hang out by the pool another day with a day pass and order lunch. The crab roll was good but nothing super memorable, and we didn't know it already came with fries. The fries were so good though!!

There are carvings and decorative items all about. Cozy and warm. Historically, there are stories about the various objects and mounted animals. Their menu features a scavenger hunt, which we unsuccessfully tried. The menu is a masterpiece of everything. there is a grazing menu, sandwiches, entrees, a forage menu of basic veggie presentations, and a bar with quite a few very cleaver offerings. Absolutely fascinating interior. Go inside to take it in. You will be struck amazed. Wife and I came in for dinner and were not disappointed. We felt the warmth. Specialty cocktails, draft beer, bottled beer lounge draft 16oz beers and wine by the glass. They also have some fancy custom non-alcohol cocktails. Everyone should be happy. Service was "on" but fulfillment was "off". Wait staff hustled but had to wait for bar and kitchen to come through faster. I don't usually order specialty/fancy cocktails, but was intrigued with a Feral Martini ($17). Got it and found it to be lacking flavor or anything special. It was watery and disappointing. Was surprised when I shared my feelings with our server Camille O. who took it back, credited it from our bill and brought me a replacement of my choice. Way to go! Had a Manhattan ($12) and wife had a red blend wine ($13.50). Now or our meals. Funny that we both has short rib entrees. Wife did the Taco 'bout Delicious ($21), which was short ribs with oaxaca cheese, cilantro, and a dip of house-made consomme. Like a French dip, but different. She dipped and liked it all. My selection of Braise The Bar ($29) was short ribs surmounting a mound of sage-mashed potatoes dosed with pickled onions, blistered shishito peppers (a favorite of mine) and fresh cilantro. An explosion in my mouth and truly yummy. Nothing served here is usual. Some very cleaver people spent a lot of creative energy to architect entrees, cocktails and the rest of the menu so as to be uniquely delicious. My Yelp! profile does not contain many 5-star ratings but now has this one for Feral. Give it a try and this would be a great first date of small group venture.

Both got dishes featuring short ribs, him the mac and cheese, me the entree with mashed potatoes. Pros 1. The pre-dinner cocktails were tasty. 2. The servers were very nice. Cons 1. Wanted wine with dinner. In the middle of California wine country they had only a handful of supermarket-quality wines. 2. The short run was dry and not very flavorful in both dishes. 3. The starches on both plates were not well-prepred. The mac and cheese was SO dry and the mashed potatoes were cold and lacked seasoning. 4. The starter or appetizer selection is quite limited. This wasn't a good meal, and it wasn't a cheap one, either. We won't be back.

They also gave us complementary bread before we received our meal, and a lot of the dishes were unique and plated well. I would come back if I'm ever in the area and would recommend this place to all my friends! All ratings below are averaged (from me and my bf): salmon bisque // 9.25 // very yummy and unique. my bf didn't think he'd like it -- he usually dislikes seafood -- but it was great!! creamy, clear salmon taste but no unpleasant fishy/ocean taste that a lot of seafood has. i've never had this anywhere else, props to the chef! thai green curry // 8.5 // my bf says it's a 9. it's good but i feel like it was not my fave, it's lowkey your good, standard green curry that you can get at any thai place duck breast (curry) // 8.75 // very delicious and unique, i'd rate the curry, rice, and duck breast as 9/10, the duck breast itself was a 10/10. the curry was creamy, and they were all delicious and fragrant, pairing well together. however, the mushrooms, carrots, and other veggies it came with are too sweet. they seem like they're glazed with a sauce that has too much sugar. the black rice was surprisingly very filling strawberry matcha trifle // 8 // yummy, nothing majorly wrong with it. reminds me of a strawberry matcha latte. matcha whipped cream was a nice, unique touch i haven't really seen elsewhere despite it not sounding difficult to make. i'd order it again but i feel like it's on the sweeter side, so you can't eat too much of it.

Food: started off with the brussel sprouts and man, those were so so good. Brussel sprouts, goat cheese, pancetta, etc. you get what I'm saying. Flash fried perfectly. We had the salmon bisque and Soup De Novo, which was a vegetable curry soup. These both could have essentially been meals. The salmon bisque was absolutely loaded with salmon. From what I heard about it, it tasted amazing. (I don't eat salmon). The vegetable curry soup was very flavorful and blended smoothly. If you ordered rice on the side, it would have been just like an entire meal. Tikki Masala Chicken - man, that airline chicken was cooked perfectly. Juicy and tender, great flavor, no a single thing wrong with it. The rice and vegetables were fantastic, especially the carrots. I don't know why they seemed extra good, but they were. 2 orders of the Ribeye. Once cooked medium and mine, cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, when mine came out, I immediately could tell that it was nowhere near cooked right. It was actually well done. When the waiter came back, I said "I'm sorry to have to do this..." and before I could finish he said "oh yea, that's definitely not medium rare, let me have the kitchen refire that for you". I dislike sending food back, but when you're spending $58 on a ribeye dinner, it HAS to be correct. (Note- the manager remedied the issue quick..came to the table, offered soup, bread, etc, which I had already eaten soup, so he comped 50% off the steak. Nice gesture!) The rest of the vegetables paired with the ribeye were very good. If someone told you the white bean puree was mashed potatoes, most people would believe it. Very creamy and delicious. The Italian salsa verde on top was also very fulfilling. Overall the dinner was very good.
